The Shadowed Figure

KAZUMA'S POV

My phone suddenly started ringing.

"What" I said picking up the phone.

"What a disrespectful way to pick up the phone" He said.

"Ahhh Mr.Kannagi" I said.

"I need you to do something"

"What is it?"

"Stop protecting Ayono"

"Why?"

"Because I want you to protect someone else"

"Um let me think... NO!!!"

"Now Kazuma-"

"No means no Mr.Kannagi"

"Please Kazuma I'll pay double"

"Triple"

"Done"

"Why do you want this so bad anyway?"

"Well good doing business with you" He said dodging my question. By now he had hung up so I was just laying on my bed staring at the ceiling.

~Time Skip~

I got woken up in the middle of the night by a text that read:

Kazuma I need you to go get my niece you'll know where

"What do you mean I'll fucking know!!!" I said to myself and walked out the door. I saw some flashing of lights.

"Well I guess that's where I need to go then" I whispered and flew towards the lights. When I got into the woods and landed I found where the lights were coming from. It was people fighting. I watched looking for this person o was supposed to get. Then my phone vibrated I took it out and the text said:

Kazuma I figure you have gotten there by now she is wearing a black coat you'll see her. Oh and before I go I have a warning for you. Ayono found out that she is there and is coming to get her so watch your back Kazuma.

"What are you playing at old man" I whispered to myself and looked back up to the fight. Then I heard one of the guys fighting say:

"I will not let you do this!!!" He said while being pushed down. Just then the man he was battling against spoke.

"Watch me I won't let anyone get in my way" he said with his deep voice then he slit his throat and stabbed him in the chest. He got up taking his sword out of the man's chest. He started walking towards a black car. I took a closer look through the window and saw a shape that looked like a head.

"Come out girl" He suddenly yelled at the car. I saw the car door open and a shadowy figure came out all dressed in black showing no skin to stay hidden from something or someone.

"Take off the coat girl" He said. She had her hands on the rim of the hood when something exploded in between them. I started running to her and let the wind carry me so I'd be faster. I got to her and grabbed her waist. I pulled her down to the ground and put my body over hers to protect her from the fire. The blast stopped and I looked behind me and saw pink flowing hair.

"Well well well you think your tough enough to go through me huh?" The man said.

"I will not let you touch her!!!" She yelled and threw fire balls at him. He dodged them all.

"Come back and fight me when you aren't so weak" He spat and disappeared. She turned around and blushed. I was now sitting next to the shadowed figure.

"Ka...ka...Kazuma!!!" She yelled and took out her sword. I put a dome of wind around us. She hit the dome multiple times and when she took a moment from hitting the shadow figure stood up and to my surprise walked right out of the barrier.

Me...Me.....Mer" Ayono stuttered and the figure put up a hand to make her stop. Then the figure walked to the car and got in when the car took off through the woods.

"Let's go before she gets there" Ayono said annoyed waving her hand for me to come.

"Oh really you want me to beat her there huh?" I said mysteriously.

"We...well I....I" She stuttered. Then I grabbed her by her waist and her head hit my chest.

"Wh.....what are you doing" She said obviously startled. That's when I lifted us off the ground and flew to her house while she screamed and held on for dear life when I purposely dropped her. Then we arrived at her house and a black car pulled into the drive. The shadowed figure stepped out and Mr.Kannagi came out of the house.

"Go in Ayono" He demanded clearly mad. She shuffled inside quickly embarrassed.

"So Kazuma I see you have met her" He said patting the figures shoulder.

"Yes sir are you going to tell me about her sir?" I asked apparently curious because he started laughing.

"You'll learn about her over time. you start protecting her tomorrow. Be here in the morning.
