Tris p.o.v:

Tobias slept in the hospital bed with me all night long with his strong arms around me holding me tightly to him. I wanted to be in his arms for real. Instead, I'm watching my body being hugged by Tobias. I should be down there right now. So I could feel when he has his arms wrapped around me in an enclosure.

I feel like something is holding me back from going back to him. But what? I need answers. Now!

In the morning a nurse came in the room. She went to a counter across the room. She picked up a clipboard. She was scanning it over when I noticed a couple things:

1) my name was on every single entry

2) one other name was on the sheet- David

I wonder why he's on the sheet?

3) near the bottom is a list of experiments

4) they've been keeping track of my stay

What makes me curious mostly is why are they keeping track of me when I'm now unconscious? And why is David's name on the sheet? And why the experiments?

The nurse puts the clipboard down and then she turns around to find an unexpected someone in the room. She was so surprised by Tobias being in here that she stepped back. Her face grew from calm from when she walked in to shocked to either surprised.

It's like she hasn't seen people sleep together. Or in her case, Tobias sleeping with my unconscious body to help me come back. And also to comfort him.

The nurse finally got her composure and started to walk over to the hospital bed. "Um sir, you're not suppose to do that."

"Please come back to me.  I'm a shit of a mess without you.  Come back."  After that I cried into her chest for a long time.  When I lifted my head her shirt was soaked in my tears.  I pressed my lips against every one of her ravens  on her collarbone.  "You're not supposed to sleep in the bed with the patient." She says to Tobias with a bit of a shaky edge to her voice.

Tobias slowly opens his eyes and turns to see the nurse standing a couple feet away from the hospital bed. He looked from the nurse then looked back to me, laying on the bed next to him.

Tobias looked at the nurse with a lot of mixed emotion in his eyes. "Okay, whoever you are I don't care. You think you know what's best for her. Well, you don't. Experiments."

He paused to see the nurse's reaction. And the way he said experiments, he said it with bitter in his voice. He looked over the nurse with a look of disappointment.

"You think experiments will help her come back. Well, you're wrong! What she needs is comfort and to be influenced that its safe to come back into this world. That's what I was doing. Speaking to her to come back. I laid in bed with her to comfort her. But you don't give a shit. Tris is special. She doesn't deserve to be experimented on. Matthew and Jeanine did it when she was alive and now you're doing it to her when she's unconscious. You're despicable. I can't even look at you. I mean why the experiments, can't you see all she needs is comfort."

He looked back at me after that very emotional speech. He slides his hand up and down my arms before kissing the top of my forehead. He whispers, "That's all she needs."

The nurse was a little taken aback by Tobias's speech. She took a step closer to the hospital bed, but didn't dare go any closer.

"We do the experiments to help us know how far along she is. And if we need to do anything to help her survive. Also our scientists are wondering how Tris survived when she entered the weapons vault."
