Ch.17

A/N: Intense chapter. 
Tobias p.o.v:
"Do you want to tell me what's been bothering you Tris?"

Tris looks up at me and sighs.  I know it's something important because otherwise it wouldn't be bugging her this much.

"I was just thinking now that I'm released what I'm going to be restricted to."  Tris sighs again. 

I wrap my arm around her and pull her closer to me.  Tris puts her head on my chest.  

"Is this what Emily told you?"

"It's not just about what Emily said."

"Then what is it?"  I ask her curiously.

"I hate being helpless Tobias.  I know Emily said I have to take it easy because I've been in a coma.  I understand everything.  But...."

"Tris if you understand everything then what's bothering you?"

Tris looks up at me.  "Tobias what I don't understand is how long to I have do this for.  Being helpless.  I hate it.  I appreciate what you're doing but I like doing things on my own.  I just don't want this to be for a long time, is all."

"Tris you heard what Emily said.  We won't know how long it will be until you have the first couple of appointments.  And it's not like this is gonna last forever.  Emily said the most was 3 months."

"I know but I've been thinking lately..."  Tris started to trail off from what she was saying. 

"Tris what is it that you've been thinking about?"

Tris seems hesitate to answer.  "Tris it's okay.  You can tell me anything?"

"Tobias what if they're wrong about everything?  About my condition?  What if it's something else that's wrong with me Tobias?  What if I'm like this forever?  Would you leave me if it comes to that?" 

Tears are coming down Tris's cheeks.  I wipe them away with my thumb.    "Tris if they're wrong Emily and Valerie will come up with a solution.  Don't worry Tris.  We'll get through this together."

I kissed her forehead.  "I don't know how long you've thinking about this, but I'm here for you.  And if you think I'll leave you just because you get a even worse condition, then your dead wrong Tris.  I'm never leaving you.  I'm going to stay here with you through every rough turn.  I love you so much Tris to do that to you."

"Thank you Tobias.  I love you so much.  You've always been there for me and I can't repay you for all you've done."  She leans in and I close the space between us and kiss her. 

"Thank you for telling me Tris."  I tell her.

I feel like Tris isn't telling me everything.  But I decided to leave it at what she told me.  She told me she wants to rest her eyes.  I know that's not the reason. 

Tris cuddled next to me and closed her eyes.  After a while my eyes started to get heavy and I fell asleep. 

When I've woken up, Tris is staring up at me.  "You know it's rude to stare at people." 

Tris giggles.  God her giggle is so adorable.  "Sorry."

"How long have you been staring Tris?"
