Ch. 19

Tris p.o.v:
Tobias helped get me ready, since I can't fully stand without falling on my ass.  I'm wearing a dress.  I know so not me.

Today I have my first appointment today.  It'll be my first time out of this apartment, since I was released from the hospital.    Tobias told me that I need to wear different clothing than I normally would wear so I blend in with everyone else here. 

Once Tobias had gotten ready, he came over to me where I was on the bed sitting. 

"You ready."

"Ready as I'll ever be."

Tobias knows I'm nervous about this appointment.  Ten minutes ago, Tobias comforted me by explaining that this appointment we won't know what my results are.  Even when we find the results and it turns out worse, we'll stick through it together. 

Tobias gives me a reassuring smile.  "Come on.  I have to call Valerie we're on our way.  Let's go."  I stand up without falling.  Score!  Tobias' hands are near my sides just in case if I fall.  I take a step but my legs get wobbly and I fall. 

Tobias catches me in the nick of time.  He pulls me up again, so this time when I'm standing, his arm is around my waist supporting me.

Tobias looks down at me.  "Maybe this will help."

"Hopefully."  I sigh.  I wish I could walk on my own already.  The wait is torturous.

We head out the door and head to the hospital.  Tobias most of the way there had to keep his grip on me because I would lose balance and fall.

When we got there, Tobias and I let out a huge sigh of relief.  He sets me in a waiting chair. 

"I'll be right back." 

Tobias walks away to the sign in desk.  I look at the desk and the receptionist, I think it's Valerie.  

I can't fully hear what Tobias is saying since he's talking really soft to whoever is behind the desk.  Then I heard the girl say," I'm glad you made it to the hospital without Tris being discovered."

Did I hear that right?  Without me being discovered?  What does that mean?  And by whom?  I am so confused right now.

"Yeah.  I'm glad too.  I don't know what I would do if she would've been discovered today."  Tobias said back.  Okay he clearly knows this person or something, otherwise, he wouldn't be so open about me. 

I didn't hear the rest of their conversation because of how soft they were speaking to each other.  I wonder why they're speaking so softly to each other.  I'm also wondering about what I heard.  Am I in danger?  Who's looking for me?  If anyone? 

Tobias is keeping something from me and I intend to find out.  Ugh!  This bugs.  Two weeks ago, when we told each other what was bugging us he didn't even bother to tell me this.  I intend to get to the bottom of this considering what I heard right has to something with me.

Tobias comes back and he interrupts my thoughts.  "Sorry it took so long to check you in."

I give him a reassuring smile.  "It's fine."

Tobias sits down next to me and wraps his arm around my waist.  I lean my head on his shoulder. 

"We have to wait for someone to call us."
