Chapter 31

(Alpha Nicholas pov)

After hearing what she went thou. I was so furious. I just couldn't take it. I went to my office and called Kent. I know it's late but I don't care. He was her Alpha. He should of protected her. He failed her. His Beta picked up."This is Alpha Nicholas, I need to speak to Kent now."
  
"Yes, Alpha." It went quite for a bit. Then I heard Kent pick up.

"Nick! What's wrong?" I could hear the panic in his voice.

"I want Janet. I want her sent here now."

"What?"

"You heard me I want Janet, Raven's mom."

"I would love to just hand her over to you. But I can't."

"Why not?"

"She was banished after what happen there. She is a rouge now. I'm sorry Nick. I don't know where she is. Why? What happened?"

"She has hurt Raven to much. If I ever find her I will kill her."

"Is Raven okay?"

"Hopefully in time she will be. Kent, she has gone though hell for a long time. You should of been there for her. Her mom, her uncle, those girls, even your Beta and then Nathen. What kind of Alpha can't see what's going on in there own pack?"

"Nick, you are on dangerous grounds." Anger clear in his voice.

"I'm on dangerous grounds. No, I just question your ability as Alpha." I hear a growl come from the other side of the phone.

"If you dare to challenge me then so be it. We have known each other for years, but I will not go ease on you."

"Nor would I go ease on you." Just then I get a link from Caden "Please Nick, Don't do anything stupid."

"Kent," I stop and take a deep breath

"Nick. What happen?"

I let out a low grunt and run my hand through my hair. "It's not my place to be talking about it. Just put it this way Janet tortured Raven for years and also let others torture her as well. She has been hurt alot."

"I'm sorry Nick I had no idea."

"I have to get back to Raven. I will call you tomorrow."

"Okay. But Nick, I know I failed her as her Alpha. If I could go back I would but Nick sending her there was the best things I could of ever done for her. She seems happy there. Thank you Nick for given her the home she deserves."

"Sorry Kent. I didn't mean to take it out on you. I'll call you later."

"It's okay. Bye Nick."

"Bye"

I lean back in my chair and run my hands through my hair. I feel this pain in my chest everytime I think about what they have done to her. It makes me sick.

I need to be with her to calm down my wolf. So I get up and head back to her room.

I walk in and see Caden on the couch.
He asks me, "Are you okay Nick?" I say "Yea" and nod as I walk over to Raven and lean down and kiss her, taking in a deep breath letting her scent calm down my wolf.

Then I look at Caden, I can tell somethings wrong. "Are you okay Caden?"

He just looks at the ground. I walk over to him. "Caden, Talk to me please."

"She was afraid of me. The look on her face, I can't get it out of my head. Nick I would never hurt her. You know that right?"

"Yes, I know that, and so does Raven. It was just a flash back. Everything will be okay when she wakes up. Come on let's lay down with her."

"I can't Nick. I can't atil I know she's okay with me being there."

I sit on the couch next to him. "Caden she's going to be okay. Just trust me."

He looks at me. "Nick I have always trusted you, and will always trust you. You are my best friend and everything we have been through, you have always lead the way. I will always follow you."

I smile at him and my wolf is proud to have such a loyal friend. "We will help her get through this together."

I got up and laid next to Raven, but Caden still refused to. He laid down on the couch and fell asleep. I laid there watching her sleep before I finally fell asleep too.

(Raven pov)

I started to wake up. I set up and looked around. When I seen Caden on the couch. I was watching him feeling kind of confused. Then I heard Nick, "He's worried that your afraid of him."

"What? Why?"

"Because you kind of freaked out on him last night."

"Oh no. I'm not afraid of him. I love him. I know he would never hurt me."

"I think you need to reassure him of that."

I get up and walk over to Caden. Nick gets up and starts walking to the door. I look at him. "Were are you going?"

"Given you two sometime. I'll be back later." Then he left.

I turned to Caden and kiss him. I looked at his face, he is so handsome. I run my hand across his cheek and then kiss him again "Caden, Caden wake up." He opens his eyes and jumps up."Raven, oh Raven your awake. I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to scare you. I will never hurt you. I promise you. I" I reached up and wrapped my arms around him and climbed on his lap. I straddled him pulling him as close as I could. "I love you" I pressed my lips to his. I run my hand through his hair. I pulled away and looked into his eyes. " I will never be afraid of you. I know you will never hurt me." Then I continued kissing him.
