Chapter 43

(Raven pov)

I sat there I don't know how long when I heard a knock "Raven, it's me Adam please let me in." I slid over out of the way of the door. Then he came in "Oh goddess Raven you look like crap"

"Thanks you really know how to make a girl feel good about herself." And I turned away from him.

"Raven I was just kidding." Then he sat down next to me. "What happened?" I sit there quietly "Please Raven talk to me."

"I don't love him." Adam looks at me confused "Who?"

"Jason, I don't love him. There might be something there, I just don't know what. He kind of scares me too. He is Nick's brother, I just don't understand. I just found Keegan and I would never want to lose him. They've had each other their hole life and they just fight with each other. I don't want to be the reason they fight."

Adam looks at me sadly "Raven I've heard the story about them. I think their going to fight no matter what. I think your a perfect reason to fight for." He gently lifts my face and looks in my eyes. "Raven, You are my cousin and my Luna, I love you. I would die to protect you." I started to shake my head no.

"I don't want anyone to die for me. I would rather die then let anyone in this pack die for me. I love them all. They are the family I never had. I want to protect all of you guys."

He just smiles at me. "I'm so proud to have you as our Luna. You are their sign of hope and new life. They can not lose that again. It almost destroyed them last time. So yes they would all die to protect you."

When he said new life I rubbed my belly while listening to him. Not thinking about him not knowing. "Raven, are you pregnant?" I turned and looked at him. "I Um I mean" I start panicking and he just smiles, "I won't tell anyone." I relax and smiled at him then I shake my head yes.

He was so excited "Come on let's get you off this floor." He got up and helped me up. We walked into my room and over by my door stood Jason. Adam stood in front of me and let's out a growl. I tryed to sent Nick a link but he had me blocked. So I sent one to Caden asking where Nick was? He told me with him then asked why I told him because I needed them "Jason here with me."

Adam growls at Jason "You should not be in here."

"I need to talk to Raven, alone." he looked at me and I looked at him "I can't Jason. I am the Luna of this pack and if you want to talk go ahead but not alone."

"You want me to don't you and they don't trust you around me?"

"No Jason, they don't trust you around me. You have came in my room and gotten on my laptop leaven songs as massages." That caused Adam to growl out and pull me totally behind him. Jason just moved closer, "Please Raven I am in love with you. You were supposed to be with me. Can't you still feel it? Raven we were second chance mates, but I think they knew that so you were marked by the time I returned. Please tell me you can still feel it." I just looked at him, "Jason I" Just then Nick and Caden came in. Nick grabbed Jason slamming him to the ground "How dear you come into my mates room. She is your Luna."

"Please just stop" Adam turned around wrapping his arms around me.

Jason yelled out "SHE IS MY MATE" He pushed back at Nick. But the guards got there grabbing Jason. They injected him with something.

I looked at Adam sadly "What is that?" Adam wispered "wolf bane"

I hear Nick tell them to take him to the cells. I remember when I found Noah there. I felt my heart drop. I buried my face in Adam's chest as they dragged him out. I could feel the tears form in my eyes. Is what he said true or was it a lie? Then I looked up at Nick and Caden, did they know? I felt my stomach turn. I pulled away from Adam and ran locking myself in the bathroom as I started throwing up. I was just so confused I layed on the floor as exhausting took over and I soon fell asleep.

(Aphla Nicholas pov)

After leaving Raven's room, I sat in my study not wanting to hear anyone I closed my mind link off. Then Caden came walking in. I looked up "Did you just leave her alone." He walked over and punched me across the face causing my chair to wheel back to the wall. I stand up and grab him and push him against the wall. I looked into his eyes and saw the anger and pain. Then I knew I screwed up. I let him go and sat back down. Running my hands through my hair. "Dame it Nick, are you trying to push her away, because your doing a dame good job of it. I don't believe she loves him but there is something there we need to talk about it with her. At least she told us. She could of try to hide it. But now the way you just acted, if I were her, I wouldn't say anything again." I lean back in my chair looking at the ceiling. "Caden, I don't want to lose her, but I don't know if I deserve her."
