10. Just kiss me already

"I should probably go before Marie freaks out" I say trying to get the flour out of my hair due to our little flour fight
"Can I drive you" Luke asks
"My cars here I can drive myself" I say and he pouts
"Please let me drive you. The grounds wet" he says and I notice a pattern of concern whenever somebody drives in the rain
I look at Calum who nods at me and sigh
"Whatever lets go" I say throwing my keys to him

Michael ends up driving Luke home which is pointless because I could've just drove myself here but I ignore it
I walk in the house to see Marie and her boyfriend on the couch going at it.
I close the door and make my way to Michaels instead not wanting to bother them knowing she only gets to see him once a month.
I knock on his door and Luke opens it smiling

"What are you still doing here" I ask letting myself in
"I decided to stay and hang out why are you here bitch." He says and I turn to him to see the biggest smile I've ever seen on a teenage boy
"My roommates getting pregnant, MIKEYYY" I call and Michael runs in smiling, I open my arms and he runs into them picking me up during the process
"BEST FRIEND" he screams and I hold my ears
"Alright enough put me down" I say and look at Luke again and turns out he's already looking at me. As soon as I catch him I cross my arms and he smiles again, blushing.
"What are you looking at hemmings" I ask with as much attitude as possible
"A pretty girl" he says like a little kid and it's my turn to blush

"Jesus I know Calum told me you finally grew the balls to ask her out but you guys are flirting non stop its disgusting" Michael says making me laugh
Luke rolls his eyes at his friend and messes up my hair
"I'll see you later" he says making his way to the garage and I grunt at him as I try to fix my hair
When I finally get it under control I look over at Michael who's smirking at me

"Please don't" I beg and he smirks more
"I won't.. It's just cute" he says and I furrow my eyebrows
"What's cute?" I ask

"When I met you you were an awkward nerd who just wanted the day to be done with, and I remember always seeing guys flirt with you and you would shake them off. But since you met Luke you've been all smiles and laughs and it's cute" he explains and I look at my hands
"I don't trust love" I say out of the blue and he lifts my head with a concerned look

"Why" he asks

I sigh before continuing "I don't want Luke to know because it's kinda pathetic so don't tell him. But uh" I scratch my head "I had a boyfriend in senior year, so two years ago right, and we were together for a fair amount of time and I loved him with every part of my body, and I was convinced he loved me too, so I told him that and long story short he called me a stupid bitch and left. With one of my friends and he was cheating on me the whole time"
Michael hugged me and sighed
"He ain't shit and he didn't deserve your love" he says and I laugh

Luke
"I don't want Luke to know..." I heard from the living room from the garage and me having a curious mind I get up and stand at the door to listen
As I'm listening to what Lacy is saying I grow sad to think that that beautiful innocent girl once had her heart broken and I open the garage door to see Michael hugging her
He sees me and shakes his head and I nod walking closer

"What was his name" I say and she whips around with her eyes wide and face flustered
I notice a couple tears on her cheeks and hold myself back from wiping them

Too soon

"Luke you weren't supposed to hear that" she says wiping the tears herself and I shake my head
"No I'm glad. I understand. If you're not ready to date yet we don't have to go out tonight"

"No no I'm ready... Wait tonight?!" She asks and I nod
"Bout 7" I say and she looks at the time noticing it's 6:30
"I'm not even ready!" She says punching my shoulder and I grab her waist
"You look fine like that"

"I'm wearing your shirt and leggings"

"Mhm" I say smiling. I know girls don't understand it but guys don't understand why it's so hot for girls to wear their clothes either, it's just a thing.
She grunts before leaving the house and Michael laughs at me
"What?" I ask confused

"You're really excited"

"Huh?" I ask and he raises his eyebrows until it clicks with me
I look down at my crotch and pull my shirt down to cover it
"Not a word Michael." I say making him laugh more as I walk away

I don't know why Lacy left when she did but I'm going to knock on her door anyway. As I'm going up the stairs her friend she always talks about is standing there with her arms crossed
I stop at the middle of the stairs
"I'm here to-"

She interrupts me "I know"

I look around "is she ready?"

"Give her a minute!" Her friend snaps glaring at me and I put my hands up in defense and decides to sit down instead of making this girl more angry
I hear a faint bye and footsteps coming towards me
I look up and see Lacy in light jeans, a grey shirt, and a red flannel
"You look cute" I say getting up and taking her hand and she stops me and turns me around
Thinking she was going to kiss me I lean in and she pushes my head back with her finger
I look at her confused and she reaches her hands behind my neck making me smile thinking she was just teasing so I lean in again.

"Stop" she says pushing my head back and I sigh in protest
She fixes my jacket collar and removed her hands from my neck smirking amusedly
"It was messed up" she says and I roll my eyes before taking her hand again and going to my car.
