I rolled over onto my side in the most uncomfortable position ever, to where my ribs where digging into the spring painfully.
But that didn't stop my drooping eyelids.
I eventually got up and walked around my bedroom four or five times and did a few jumping jacks. But soon after I had to sit down cause the room was spinning.
I groaned and walked over to my window, pressing my forehead to the cold glass. I let out a small huff as the glass turned foggy. I rested my head in the palm of my hand and wrote fuck on the window with my finger.
Finally I grabbed my shoes and jacket then walked down the stairs and out the front door. It's been forever since I did this. Just walk around at night and it feels great.
The city is so quiet and everything is so... still.
I walked to a small park near the movie theatre and sat on one of the benches. It was getting chilly and the wind was blowing through my hair and freezing my ears. I should've brought a hat.
I managed to get through the whole night, keeping myself up by occasionally going on the swing and monkey bars and feeling myself that there's a psycho killer in the trees behind me that'll kill me if I fall asleep.
It was about nine in the morning when I decided to go home. It was a Saturday so no school or group. I'm so glad, hopefully after the weekend Calum will finally start talking to me a again.
I walked back to my house. The smell of firewood hovered in the air. I walked up the stairs to the house but sadly the door was locked. I don't remember locking it.
Beating on the door, I hoped that Tori would be awake already but looks like I'm out of luck. I walked around the house to see if the backdoor was open but of course no.
"TORI open the fuckin' door!" I yelled kicking the door forcefully.
I walked around the house to her window but the curtains were closed so I couldn't see in. I hit the window a few times but then heard the shower running and music blaring.
I groaned and sunk down the wall and into the grass. I guess I'll just have to wait until she finishes her shower.
But for some reason it took her an hour before I heard the water turn off and the music turned down. I got up and knocked on the window but the door shut and I think she left the room.
I sighed and started walking around the house until I heard the front door open so I turned around and went the other way. Barely making it past the first corner, Tori walked around also and before I could say anything, she punched my right in the eye.
"What the hell?!" I screamed.
"I though you were trying to break in!" She screamed back.
"So you were just gunna punch the intruder? What if they were armed?"
She shook her head, "I didn't have time to think it through."
I groaned at the horrible pain in my eye and pushed passed her to the house. I dug through the fridge and finally found some frozen corn. I grabbed a towel around it and placed it over my eye.
Tori sat at the kitchen table and I did the same thing. She flipped through some magazine and annoyingly tapping her foot against the table. The phone rang and I stood up to go grab it but she beat me to it.
"Hi gran." She smiled into the receiver and sat back down at the table, "Yeah we're fine."
I watched Tori carefully as she talked. Then she was quiet for a while, a long while. She nodded and hummed a lot. Then her face lit up and she said, "Today?"
Then she frowned and told gran okay ad hung up. I watched her set the phone back down then go to back to her magazine.
"What'd she say?" I asked, annoyed.
"Oh, right." She closed her book, "Dads being moved to the prison here so grand gunna take us to see him!"
"What?" I asked.
"He gets out in like four months or so and he wants us to come live with him."
"He doesn't even have a house." I stated.
"He's probably gunna get a job." She shrugged.
Why would he randomly get moved back here then want to live with us. Even when he wasn't in jail he didn't want to see us. I don't trust. And neither should Victoria.
