Four hours. Four long hours of dreadful waiting and crying until we were released to go home. My Aunt Candice and her two sons are flying in tomorrow but as of right now we're alone.
The doctors still haven't found a reason my mum... killed herself.
It still hasn't sunk in that she's dead. Piper doesn't believe it, she refuses to. She wont stop crying either, and that's worrying me a lot.
"Are you guys hungry?" A nurse asked us.
We both shook out heads but the nurse smiled, "I know you guys are upset but y'all should eat something."
Another nurse came in with two trays of macaroni and cheese and milk. I wasn't going to lie, I'm starving but I'm not eating hospital food.
"Can we just go?" Piper asked in a tired and helpless voice.
"Of course, is there anyone who can pick you up?"
We shook our heads, having no family that lived near us. Then Piper suddenly nodded.
"I can call my friend, Caleb." She said, pulling out her dead phone.
The nurse must've noticed and lead her to a small phone. She was on the phone for like 5 minutes, talking very quietly while I sat and kicked my feet against the floor. She finally came back telling us that he'll be here soon.
The nurse lead us to another waiting room near the entrance. After 5 minutes of waiting, a black car pulls up and a tall guy in a sweatshirt walks out. He has sandy colored hair and big brown eyes, hiding behind a pair of black glasses.
He walks up Piper and gives her a huge hug, patting her back and whispering in her ear. The nurse awe'd, only loud enough for me to hear. Gross.
"Alright, come on." Piper said, grabbing my wrist and helping me into the car.
"Are y'all just going home?" Caleb asked.
Piper nodded and looked at me, giving me a sad but reassuring smile.
