I wake up in the morning, and it's quiet. My room is full of light, because my curtains and my door are opened. It scares me for a moment, and I sit up in bed." Mark?" I call out, no response. I get out of bed, and walk into his room. His bed is made, and he's not in there." Mark?" I call out again, and there still no response. I walk down the stairs, and see that he's not down here. I'm getting nervous, he's never left me alone before. I see the emergency phone on the counter, and pick it up. I call Danny, and he picks up on the first ring." Hey Angel, what's up?" He asks, and I look around the apartment." Umm, I'm home alone. Mark's not home." He's silent for a moment, and I hear him talking with some people." I'll be right there." He says, and ends the call. I call Mark next, and he picks up as well." Hello?"
"Where are you, you forget something?" I ask, and I hear some traffic around him." No, I didn't. I needed to get something. I thought you would be asleep until I got back." He says, and I roll my eyes." Not the way you wake me up." I say, and he laughs." I'm on my way." He says and we hang up. There's a knock on the door, and I open." He called, he's on the way." I tell Danny as he enters the apartment." Doesn't matter, he should've taken you with him. That's bad parenting." He says, and I calm him down." I'm okay, I'm not hurt. Look see?" I say, turning around to show him. He calms down a bit, and nods." Okay, I guess it wasn't that bad." He says, and sits on the sofa." Would you like some breakfast?" I ask, and he shrugs." Sure, that would be good." He says, and I go into the kitchen. I get out some Eggo Waffles, and heat them up. I set them on two plates, and pour syrup on them. I leave some in the microwave for Mark, and bring the plates over to the couch.
"Thank you." He says, and I sit down next to him. We eat there in quiet until Mark opens the door." Oh, you ate without me." He says, and Danny shrugs." There's some for you in the microwave." I tell him, and he sets down a paper bag on the counter. He pulls his waffles out of the microwave, and comes sit down next to me. He eats it all in less then two gulps, and leans back on the couch. He rubs his flat stomach, and smiles at me." That was good." He says, and I smile." So, where were you?" I ask him, and he looks over at me with a smile." I got us passes to a spa for today. To relax our bodies, and just have a relaxing day." He says, and I look over at Danny. He gives me a horrified look, and I give him the same look." Me too?" Danny asks, and Mark says no." Thank God." Danny says, and I give him a worried look." Relax Angel, Spa's are suppose to relax your body." He says, and pats my back." Can I wear this?" I pull at my long sleeve, and Mark looks down at it." I don't know, they'll tell us there." He says, and I sigh." Okay." I say. He just smiles at me, and says we should get going.
Danny says he's going to watch the house for us." I don't want to go back to the Station for a little bit." He says, and Mark rolls his eyes." Wow, you are such a lazy ass." He says, and Danny starts laughing. We leave him alone in the apartment, and go down to the car. We get into the car, and Mark drives us to the Spa." Are you sure about this?" I ask, and he looks over at me." Lyca trust me, it's fine. It'll make you more relaxed, and make you feel refreshed." He says, and I sigh.
I've never been to a Spa, I don't like Spas. I'm not a fan of people touching me." What are we doing there?" I ask, and he shrugs." I don't know, hair wash, foot massage, dip in the hot tub. Whatever we want." He says, and I scratch my nose. He parks in front of the Spa, and we get out of the car. At the moment Mark opens the door, it smells like salt water. I scrunch up my nose, and make a weird face." What is that stench?" I ask, and he looks over at me." It's the smell of the sea." He says, and I look at him as if he's insane." You really get weird somethings." I say, and he starts smiling. The woman behind the desk smiles at us." Hi, reservation for Mark and Lyca." He says, and puts his hands on my shoulders." Follow me please." The woman says, and we walk into the Spa. I see people walking through in robes, and I feel shy again. I'm going to have to wear a robe.
