Taking Mark and Jack to my school, is like bringing two overly protective guard dogs.  They stay way to close, and do not leave my site for one second of the day.  I have a bit of a cough while I walk through the halls, and it makes my chest burn a bit.  I feel as if I'm a prisoner, and I'm always being watched.  We get through Seminar with no problems, then we head to Art.  Mr. Jackson says that we'll be showing expression drawings."  So draw whatever comes first to your mind, and color it in."  He says, and places a piece of paper in front of me.  He also sets a piece of paper in front of Jack and Mark."  You guys can draw if you would like.  I'll be over here if you need me."  He says, and I nod at him.  I draw the outline of a tree, and make the leaves covering each branch.  I grab some coloring pencils, and color the tree all different types of greens.

The leaves are rainbow colors, and the stump is darker then the rest of the wood.  It looks really cool, and I smile at it after I finish."  Damn Lyca, that looks really cool."  Jack says sitting forward.  I see he's drawing a neat little doodle of himself."  Yours is really good too."  I tell him, and look over at Mark.  He's making some type of engine or something."  What is that?"  I ask, and he looks up."  It's just gears, and I tried to make a doodle right here."  He says, pointing at a drawing of Tiny Box Tim.  I smile at him, and draw an extra limb on the tree.  I draw a swing dangling by two ropes, and I draw a girl sitting on the swing.  Her dress is flowing in the blowing wind, and she is facing away from us.  I draw a sun dipping down into the valley, and there's buildings at the end of the hill she's on."  Damn Lyca."  Mark says under his breathe.  Robbie is sick today, so he's not here today.  I'll see him tomorrow probable.

Mr. Jackson walks by, and says he really likes my drawing."  May I have it?"  He asks, and I say sure.  He takes it, and puts it on his giant board."  Beautiful."  He says, and I smile.  First hour ends with Leah complaining about how she never gets her projects on the board.  Mr. Jackson was telling her how she never finishes her projects, and she had a whole fit about it.  The three of us left to go to Math class, and I roll my eyes.  Leah is such a baby about everything, every time I have something good happen to me.  I sit down in Math class, and pull out my homework.  The teacher gives me a disgusting look at my face, and Jack glares at her.  She takes my homework, then walks away."  What's her problem?"  Jack asks, and I turn to look at him.  He then remembers my scared up face from Mother.  It's healing still, and are about the sizes of pencils.

"She has this idea that I do this to myself.  Like I would want to do this to my face."  I say pointing at my face, and Mark rolls his eyes."  She's such a bitch."  I hear Mark whisper to Jack, and Jack starts laughing into his hand so he doesn't disturb the class.  During class the teacher tries to ignore me, but Jack and Mark keep raising their hands at Math problems."  Yes Mr. Fischbach?"  She asks in an irritated tone, and Mark answer the question fully.  She nods, and writes it on the board.  Jack keeps drawing on my homework paper as I write out my notes."  Jack stop it!"  I hiss at him, and he smiles at me."  Come on, I'm not doing anything bad."  He says, and keeps drawing.  The teacher tells us our homework assignment, and I finish it before the bell rings."  Ms. Parker, may I speak with you?"  The teacher asks before I leave, and I walk over to her desk."  I would like it very much if you wouldn't bring your guardians to school everyday.  You're a growing woman, you should be able to go through your classes on your own."  She says holding a pen between her fingers.

"You want them gone, tell them yourself.  Because they're the adults, they make the decisions."  I say, and she stares at me."  Lyca, you have to tell them."  She says, and I shake my head."  No, because you aren't my Mom nor my parent."  I say, and leave her room.  I go to my classes with Mark and Jack, then the day is finally over.  Mark is tired, and so is Jack.  I get to my locker, and find Leah in my way."  Move."  I say, and she glares at me."  Or what?  You'll beat me up?"  She asks, and her group of friends start laughing."  Get out of here!"  Jack says in a deep tone, and Leah smiles."  Why are you going to do Irish fuck?  Sing me a tune?  You and your boyfriend can't do anything."  She says, and she starts laughing at them.  I go Black, and it only lasts for a few seconds.  When my vision comes back, Leah is holding her face.  She bleeding from her nose, and her friends are trying to calm her down."  You little slut!  You broke my nose!"  She screams, and I push her out of the way to my locker."  Maybe you should ask your parents for that nose job you've always wanted now."  I tell her as I grab my bag.

"Let's go, I need to work on my science project."  I say, and I pull my bag over my shoulder.  Jack and Mark follow me out to the school, and we get into the car."  That was...different."  Jack says as Mark starts driving us home."  That's because I let myself go off."  I say, leaning against the window.  Once we get home, I work on my paper for science that should've been done last week.  I finish it in less then an hour, and email it to my teacher.  Mark has informed me how Jack is leaving today, and that I have to say goodbye to him.  I see Jack's already packed when I walk downstairs, and I hug him tightly."  I'll miss you."  I tell him, and he smiles."  I'll see you soon right?  Next time I'm in town.  I promise."  Jack says, and I smile.  Mark drives his to the airport, while I stay home.

I go to bed early that night, without eating dinner, and sit on my bed with the door closed.  I hear Mark come home, but I stay in my room.  I don't feel like talking to him anymore for today.  He walks around downstairs, then walks upstairs."  Lyca?"  He calls out, and comes into my room.  I'm laying down now, the blanket is covering me."  Honey?  What's the matter?"  He asks me, and sits down next to me on the bed.  I feel his hand on my shoulder, and I sigh."  Am I...suppose to feel guilty about what I did today?  I mean, going off like that?"  I ask, and he moves a little bit."  I..."  He doesn't know what to say, and I sit up.  I look at him, and he looks up at me."  If you didn't know me, and you saw what I did, would you think that I should feel guilty?"  I ask him, and he just stares at me.  He sighs, and his shoulders slouch."  No, no I don't think you should.  Because she deserved it, for treating you like that."  He says, and I look at him.

"But she doesn't know, and you still don't know the worse."  I tell him, and his eyes go wide."  What?  How can I not know the worst of what happened to you?"  He asks me, and I look down."  There's is way too much for me to tell you the worst thing. But I can't bring myself to tell you what I believe to be the worst."  I say, and he takes my head into his hands.  He slowly brushes some piece of hair out of my face, and kisses my cheek."  You're my daughter, and I want you to feel safe about telling me anything.  If you're uncomfortable about telling me whatever this terrible event is, then I won't push.  But if I find out a little hint, I'll have to push on it if I think I have to."  He says, and strokes my hair some more.  He kisses my forehead, and hugs me."  You're my baby girl, remember that."  He says, and I smile at him.

He brings up a small pizza he was heating up, and we eat in my bedroom.  He has Game Grumps playing on my Laptop while we ate, and he starts telling me about our next vacation."  So we'll be staying with Bob and his wife Mandy, she's very nice.  We'll be there for two weeks, then leave so you can get here back on time for school."  He says, and I smile at him."  Yay!"  I say in a fake excited tone, and he chuckles.  He starts yawning, and lays down on my bed.  He lays there while I watch Grumps still, then I hear the soft noise of snoring.  I look down to see him sleeping peacefully, and I shut my laptop.  I set it on the floor, and clean up the pizza plates.  I pull the blankets up over him and myself, and lay down next to him.  He's soft breathing in my ear makes me shiver some, but I shut my eyes.  I wrap my arms around his neck, and fall asleep.
