Dinner consisted of appetizers that they served at the bar, tons of caffeine, as well as some alcohol. Mark said that a single shot of whiskey would allow my muscles to relax a bit, and make me ease up on my stress. We cheer, and swallow our shots whole. It's strong, but a kick in the teeth. I'm able to keep it down though. It's not my first time drinking it. Todd fell asleep once in his leather chair with a half empty bottle of whiskey, and I snuck it away from him. Hiding it in my room. I drank all of it, just to piss him off. When he found the bottle the next day, I told him he drank it while beating me the night before. He believed it, and went to the store to buy some more. That was the one and only time I drank, now I'm drinking with Mark's okay on the situation. Which seems okay for me for some reason. With his approval, I would do anything.

"After you stormed out of the building, the judges were glaring at the woman as she spoke to the other contestants, making her look uneasy as she spoke. She started sweating, and was tripping over her words. It was actually really funny when she said who got first place. Her face flushed red. I thought steam would come out of her ears."

"Who?" I ask, curious now who the old bat said was the winner." Who do you think? Let me ask that first? Let me ask another question, who was the most brilliant at the art show? " Mark asks, leaning his chin against his fist." Well, that other young man from before was actually incredible at what he did. I mean his art was amazing, pulling his colors into the Empire State Building like that? It's one of the most complicated pieces of art I've ever seen. It's difficult to even fathom how hard it is to be able to do that sort of thing." Mark smiles at me, placing his hand against my cheek." It was you dumbo." He says, giving me, flicking my forehead. I rub my forehead, giving him " What? No, it couldn't have been me. It should have been one of the others. No, it couldn't possibly be me. You're lying, right? It's some sick joke?"

"Would I joke about something like this?"

"No. Yes. Maybe, I don't know." I say, brushing my fingers through my hair. Feeling a small panic attack coming on. Mark brushes his fingers across my forearm, and gives me a soft smile." Hey, look at me. Look in my eyes. You really think that I'm lying to you? If I was lying to you, I would've made her have the face of a dragon. Or I would've stopped playing with you by now." He says, that quirky smile of his spread over his face." I...won? Wow, that's incredible. I can't believe it, it's unbelievable." Mark reaches deep into his pocket, and pulls out a black box. With golden lettering on the top.

A sight for Art, and a creator of Art. Blended together as one, creative human being.

I open it. Lying there in black cloth was a gold medal with a red band. It has my name on it with 1st place graved into it. It glitters in the dull light of the bar, and I see my reflection in it's shiny face." Oh my Gosh, this is awesome! It's so beautiful." I pull it out of the box, and place it around my neck. It's heavy, at least five pounds." It's so pretty." I say, mumbling to myself about this incredible medal I've received. I hold it in my hand, rubbing my finger across my name." You also got this." Mark says, reaching into his pocket once more. He slaps down a wad of cash the size of my fist on the table." Jesus."

"Five thousand dollars."

"That much? Last time it was only two."

"Well, this is State Finals sweetie, they have to wow you with the prize. Just like you wow them with your art." I take a small amount of the cash into my hand, counting how much it is. Three hundred." Let's waste some dough then why don't we? Three hundred for the night? What do you say?" I ask looking up. Jack has a small smirk on his face, looking over at Mark." Can we? Please?" He asks him, and Mark sighs. The others start pleading as well, putting their hands together in what looks like prayer." Oh...what the hell. It is Lyca's earnings, and she suggested it. Fuck it, let's party till we collapse." We all start cheering as loud as we can, and walk up to our room. It has two rooms, a large kitchen, a living room with two pull out beds, as well as a double bathroom. Two showers.
