My vision is blotchy with red and black as I wake up. Numbness covers over my body, and I feel a weight on my chest. It's a blanket, a warm blanket if I might add. I open my eyes more, well one since the other one is swollen shut, and find myself looking up to a ceiling. There's an ice pack covering my black eye, and I feel a bandage on my side. I don't where I am though. It's so dark in here that I can't tell, not even by the small glows I see out of the corner of my eye. I sit up slowly, wrapping the blanket around my shoulders, and look around. The couch I'm on is what tells me where I am at, because the Game Grumps haven't changed the couch since the last time I was here. I lift myself up so that I'm standing, and walk over to the glowing computers.
I find the light switch beside them and turn on the lights. I cover my eyes to the brightness, and yawn. I walk over to the kitchen, and find some food in the cupboard. A small packet of chips and half of a banana. I look in the fridge, and find a can of Coke in there. I sit at the kitchen table, and eat as slow as I can. I hear laughter from the recording room, and I sip my drink. I feel a pain as the soda goes down my throat. I clutch onto my throat, and cough a few times." Owwww." I groan, and hear my voice is raspy and scratches my throat like sand paper. Great...I lost my voice. I get up from the table, and go into the bathroom. I open the cabinet, and find a bag of cough drops. I grab a handful of cough drops, and put one in my mouth. It tastes like lemons, and soothes my throat a bit.
I walk out of the bathroom, and hear more laughter from the recording room. I turn off the lights off again, and now only the glow of monitors is my light. I lay back down on the couch, and bring the pillow closer to me. I wrap on hand around ribs that really hurting. I think they're bruised or maybe cracked. I feel the coolness of the darkness overtake me, and I fall asleep. Voices echo in my head and I hear laughter as well. People whispering about Todd and people who have hurt me over the years. The laughter continues, and my eyes slowly open when it stops. The lights are still off, and I feel sweat drip down my face. I feel my rib move, and I clutch onto my side. Pain ribs me apart on the inside, and I start coughing. Coughing up blood, deep red blood." Mark? Mark! Mark!" I start screaming, my hands shaking with the blood covering them.
I hear doors open, and the lights turn on." Lyca, what's wrong!" I hear, and look over to see the Grumps and Mark. I show them my hands, and Suzy screams." Oh my God, someone call 911." Mark says, and sits on the couch beside me. The sight of the blood makes my vision turn side ways, and I start vomiting. Mark wraps his arms around me, holding my arms next to my sides. More blood comes up, and I feel pain rip through me again. I grit my teeth, and scream out." I'm here, you're going to be okay, I promise." Mark says, and I hear his voice quiver. He doesn't know if his words are true, he doesn't know what's wrong." It's my ribs." I mumble, and he loosens his grip from around me." It's okay, everything's going to be fine." He says, patting my hair down. I lean into his chest as another wave of pain goes over me. I cough up more blood onto his shirt, and his hands start shaking.
I hear the ambulance outside pull up, and somebody runs past to open the door for them." What's wrong?" I hear one of them say, and they lay down their stuff in front of us. One of them is bald, bags under his eyes, but he looks stern. As if he will do everything he can to help me." May I?" He asks, and I nod. He raises my shirt, and touches where the pain is most." Puncture in the lung by the cracked rib, which is causing the blood. We'll have to take you to the hospital, you need surgery." He says, and he helps me stands." Lay down on the gurney sweetie." He says, and I slowly get on the gurney. An oxygen mask is wrapped around my face, and I grab onto Mark's sleeve." Sir you have to stay here." One of them says, and I grip tighter onto his sleeve." I'm her father." Mark says, and he holds my arm as they roll me away.
