recap:

"Luna, I-"

The room jolts forward then, the starship finally landing. The force of the impact of the starship with the ground of the planet makes everything in the room slide to one side. Kylo staggers backwards, the wall breaking his fall.

You stumble forward as well, unable to keep your balance, about to hit the floor when Kylo reaches out and grabs you. You end up against his chest, the room around you shaking uncontrollably as the Starship settles down on the planet.

"Luna you have to understand-"

"I don't care, Kylo," you say, pulling away from him. He draws his arms back to himself, points his chin out. You steady yourself against the control table, keeping your eyes focused on the monitors and the beeping sounds coming from them.

The Starship finally seems to have settled down, the quiet whirring of the engines no longer heard. One of the several monitors shows what seems to be a live video feed of the planet you had just landed on. Your feel your mouth start to dry as you scan the sandy terrain, because, unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be uninhabited.

You can see, on the screen, people and creatures cowering away from the First Order's Starship. You see a mother coming running from a distance, her two children's innocent curiosity wielding them dangerously close to the Starship. She grabs the youngest one, a little girl, lifting her and holding her in the crook of her arm, resting against her hip. You feel a pang of sadness as you picture yourself being dragged away like that by your own mother when they had come to take you. The mother then grabs the other boy and practically drags him away, her feet sinking into the sand as she tries to run faster, screaming at him to pick up the pace, and doesn't he understand that the people in that Starship are evil?

When you turn back to Kylo, he's put his helmet back on. You look at him, your face devoid of all emotion.

"Why have we landed here?"

"Supreme Leader Snoke wants to know Luke Skywalker and the girl's whereabouts."

"Didn't you almost get yourself killed last time he sent you to find their whereabouts?" you ask with a little pout, your tone sounding sickeningly innocent. You've had enough of him. You don't care anymore.

Behind his helmet, Kylo clenches his jaw. He ignores your question. He doesn't want to ignite another fire within himself, afraid he wouldn't be able to stop himself this time. Beneath it all, he didn't want to hurt you.

Not too much, anyway.

"We have received information that there is an underground Resistance base here." As he says the word Resistance, his thoughts flash back to his mother's face. He clears his throat and continues. "We're trying to track the few people stationed here. To be interrogated."

You don't say anything, your eyes still focused on the small screen. The mother is still running towards the village, now a tiny blimp on the screen. The people have all gone inside their huts in fear.
