"Ben needs your help."
The man who had been standing in front of you couldn't have been more than a few years older than you. You were both standing on some kind of a faraway mountain, a city gleaming in the distance, and even though you had no idea who the man was, how he found you or how you managed to leave the Finalizer, but you were at complete peace.
This person radiated calmness and tranquility.
His shaggy, dirty-blonde hair had been blowing softly in the light breeze, exposing his face, exposing beautiful blue eyes; a scar running dangerously close to his right eye. His face was somehow familiar to you. His features.. they resembled someone's; they resembled Kylo's.
"How do you know?" You had asked him, curious, yet somehow, not at all suspicious.
"He's in danger. I can feel it in the Force; it's shaken."
"Are you Force-sensitive?" You were tiring even yourself with all these questions, but he seemed patient. Serene.
He smiled to himself, ran a hand through his ruffled hair.
"You have no idea who I am, do you?" He said this with a genuine smile.
You had shaken your head, moved closer to him. Something about him attracted you, pulled you; even though he seemed young, you could tell he was wise beyond his appearance. His presence was like that of a father.
"If I tell you who I am, you have to promise me two things."
"Anything." Your curiosity was at its peak now.
"My name, is Anakin."
The name rang no bells; struck no nerves. You looked at him puzzled.
"Ben is my grandson."
Even though he looked dead serious as he spoke these words, a laugh had involuntarily escaped from your chest. "You? A grandfather? You look my age!" The idea seemed preposterous.
"I've been dead for some years now," he had paused, a cold smile playing on his lips.
Your blood suddenly ran cold through your veins; your heart rate accelerated. "Dead?"
"Yes. What you see is my old self," he chuckled to himself here, the laughter bubbling amidst his words, "you wouldn't like it if I appeared to you in the body I inhabited when I died."
He had touched your forehead, telepathically showed you his thoughts. Images of a tall man in a mask, black robe, menacing presence. The sound of mechanical breathing.
You had jerked your head back and whispered, "Darth Vader."
"You must promise me to never tell Ben I came to you. You have to let him find his own way."
You remained speechless; and then you remembered, the breath catching in your throat- "You said Kylo- Ben, is in danger?"
"Yes. Listen carefully, we don't have much time."
Anakin turned to you, as you frantically nodded, grabbed your hand in his. "You can't find him. But you have to reach out to him. You two are one of a kind- made from the same mould. You have been destined from birth to find each other. You're the only one who has the ability to reach his thoughts."
You kept on nodding as your mind processed all of this. The pressure felt crushing; it started to weigh down on your shoulders.
"For you, Kylo feels the strongest passion there is. He will let this passion guide his reason; will be weak to control it. Call out to him, bring him back to the First Order's ship. He won't be able to resist."
"But Anakin-" You meant to ask him how he had been hurt, why he was in danger, but Anakin, pressed for time and eager to give you all the information he had, had already read your mind and answered in a hurried manner; "They were planning the death of Leia Organa; my daughter, his mother. Ben hesitated, and the resistance took the chance, forgetting he's Leia's son, and shot at him."
"He hesitated?" you whispered, mostly to yourself than to Anakin.
"Yeah. There's passion for his mother as well. It clouded his judgement; stopped him before it was too late."
Anakin stood up, looked at the distance. The sun was setting across the horizon, behind the glinting city.
"You'll wake up soon. Call out to him. He's lying in the Infirmary section being treated; but he plans to keep fighting. If he fights, he will die."
The words bury themselves in your stomach, burrowing away at your intestines. You will never be able to forgive yourself if you fail in calling out to him.
You know you'll never rest until you see him again.
Anakin continued- "Promise me you won't tell him about me, about this dream; and that you'll let him find his own way. He has a lot to overcome. But I have faith in him."
You stood up as well, your legs barely able to support you after all that you've just had to process, and he embraced you, placed a light kiss on your forehead. "You have Light in you. You can't let Snoke sense it."
"Will you ever find a way of talking to Ben? He looks up to you."
"He chose to idolise Vader, not me, but he'll come to his senses one day, just as I did. He'll redeem himself. We just have to be patient."
He smiled at you, his calm blue eyes so full of hope, and then placed both his hands on your shoulders.
"May the force be with you, Luna."
