seventeen; uncontained

You're walking to the training chambers, humming softly to yourself, lost in the recollections of your dream. Kylo's peaceful face dances around in your vision.

The way his soft lips had kissed your finger. How the dream left you wanting so much more than that innocent gesture.

The dream had been so vivid, and it makes you feel so warm inside. You sigh contentedly as, for just a single second, you allow yourself to imagine what it would be like for that dream to actually happen.

To come that close to kissing Kylo.

Stop it, Luna. Just stop.

After a while, you realise that you had been so engrossed in daydreaming, that you hadn't even realised that something feels.. off.  You stop and turn around, scanning the grey area for stormtroopers only to finally realise that there are none in sight. You're completely alone, except for a couple of Inspection drones, their quiet, monotonous beeping the seemingly only audible sounds around. Which is odd, because this part of the Finalizer is always packed with stormtroopers going around on inspection, or any of their other endless duties.

It feels like the quiet before a storm.

Your stomach churns as you make the final turn around a corner, still confused as to where everyone is, before finally reaching the training chambers. The First Order's starship, the Finalizer, is huge, practically the size of a small village, but you had quickly learned your shortcuts, especially since you had training everyday.

It hits you as soon as you turn around the corner. The sound, clear, painfully loud. It's a wonder you hadn't heard it before.

A lightsaber's ferocious whirring; the sound of wreckage, the sound of burning.

You're lost as to what is happening, you have no idea where the sound is coming from. Your first thought goes to Kylo- he's the only one you've ever seen with a lightsaber aboard this ship. Has someone found their way aboard, and attacked him?

What if it's the girl that had left him for dead a few months ago?

Your pulse quickens as you sheepishly make two steps forward, and then you feel a strange sensation; it's like your heart suddenly got heavy with sadness- amongst other things; there were so many conflicting feelings, regret, shame, pure adrenaline- but you have no means of knowing where that sadness is actually originating from. Overwhelmed, you close your eyes, knowing the Force is radiating from each and every living being aboard, and follow the powerful emotions.

They lead you to a room not far away from the training chambers. Red sparks are flying out of the room, dispersed, illuminating the dull metal area outside the rooms. Shouts of rage are coming from inside the room, only to be followed with more sounds of destruction.

Kylo.

The shared bond between you and him is as evident as ever, the anger coursing through his body sending similar sparks of rage through your own.

You take a step towards the room, only to feel an unfamiliar hand on your shoulder, frantically pulling you back. You extend your arm as you turn, feel the Force build up inside of you, bubbling through your veins, threatening to explode.

"Woah," the stormtrooper raises his arms in both surprise and shock, almost dropping the blaster in his right arm. "You're LN-1311, the Force girl, r-right?"

You retract your arm, balance your weight on one foot. "Yeah. And?" Kylo's anger, his rage, is still pulsating at the back of your mind. You don't want to waste time.

"Master Ren is having another one of his.." He hesitates, clearly looking for a word that doesn't further piss you off- after all, he has to be respectful to you now. "..Episodes, I guess, and it's- uh, we've found it best, through trial and error, to just leave him alone until he has, y'know, let it all out."

You scan his white, polished stormtrooper helmet as you probe his mind, checking which word he would normally use to describe said 'episodes'.

Baby temper tantrums. It's the phrase the stormtroopers use between them. You feel the anger rise in your chest- fuelled by the same kind of anger coursing through Kylo's body- feel it reach your cheeks, turning red.

"I know how to handle him, thankyouverymuch," you spit, your lips curling. You send him on his way, anxiety starting to form in the pit of your stomach.

You were in the wrong thinking you knew how to handle him, because it implies you knew him well.

And you don't know him well.

You only know what he chose to tell you.

Nevertheless, you take a deep breath, exhaling the anxiety, and half-walk, half-jog to the room. You place your hand against the cool metal of the doorway.

Kylo, his helmet on, is standing in the midst of, what is now, a ruined control room, taking pained breaths, his sturdy, muscular frame shaking beneath his black robes. Smoke is rising from all around him. Monitors slashed in half, large metal control tables flashing red from the contact with the scorching lightsaber.

Before you even think about uttering a word, he turns, pointed his humming lightsaber in your direction, his head down. "Leave."

"It's just me- I-I felt- I felt something."

"I don't care." The helmet, with the voice modulator, conceals his shaky voice, hides the tears that are threatening to escape.

"Kylo."

You take a step towards him.
