Chapter 11

Shawn

I'm at the hospital waiting for Camila to wake up. That guy is such an idiot, he made Camila fainted and she still didn't wake up yet.

Her nose was bleeding and she got bruised on her forehead. I felt so sorry for her. I looked into her face from the window because I still can't come into the room.

She looked so beautiful and peace and pale. I love her so much, I don't want to lose her.

"Mr. Mendes? The doctor called you," nurse said,

I walked to the doctor room to talk about Camila.

"Please sit down," doctor said,

"So, how was Camila?" I asked,

"She's all good, but she's gonna be in a long sleep after the medicine done to neutralized the alcohol inside her body," the doctor explained,

"You better call her parents very soon," he continued.

I'm so worried about Camila. She's gonna be in a long sleep and I don't know when will I seeing her smile again.

"When will she wake up?" I asked,

"About three or four days," he said.

I'm so surprised because it's that long. That's a very long sleep. What am I gonna do without her? Her parents gonna be so mad at me and her dad will punch me right on my face. I deserve that.

"Thank you so much, I have to go," I said as I stood up from my seat.

I decided to call her parents no matter what will happen next.

"Good night, is this Camila's house?" I said,

"Yeah, who is this?" her mom said,

"I'm Shawn, I want to tell you, um.." I don't know how to tell them, it must hurt them so much.

"What is it?" she asked,

"Um, your beautiful daughter is in Canada right now, she's right on the hospital. I know, this is a very bad news to you, but I'm so sorry," I explained,

"What did you do to my daughter, Shawn!?!?" she asked, she seems mad to me.

"I'll explain when you arrived at Canada, it's a very long story," I said,

"Okay, see you soon," she said as she hung off the telephone. I sighed. I finally said that to her parents even though I know that they will be so angry at me when they meet me.

I'm not good for her. I don't deserve her. This is such a bad idea for her to come her. Jack do deserve her, even though it hurts. She deserve Jack so much better than me.

The day goes so slow since Camila's in the hospital. It's already day 2 and she haven't wake up yet. I came in everytime to see her face. I skipped my breakfast, lunch or even dinner.

I don't even think about my health, all I can think and want is Camila to wake up and I really wanna see her smile again even though after this tragedy I will never see her again.

"Shawn, it's me, Camila's dad, I am now arrived at Canada with my wife, tell the hospital's name," Camila's dad suddenly texted me,

"It's Ontario Hospital and Medical Center," I replied.

Few minutes later, Camila's parents came up to me and I know what will gonna happen.

"Shawn, explain," Camila's dad said.

Her mom was in tears as she watched her daughter sleeping peaceful and looked pale.

"I was at a party with Camila, a house party with my friends, we played games and Camila wants to go the restroom, a minute later, she yelled my name and I ran faster to her, I'm about to save her from a guy who wants to kiss or having sex with her, I started to fight with the guy and the guy accidentally hit her head and nose and she fainted," I explained,

"Who's that guy?" Camila's mom asked,

"I don't know, he's in the different major with me or maybe he's a stranger," I said,

"He made our daughter looked like a dead person," Camila's mom said.

I was so surprised that her parents not gonna kill me or punch me.

"I'm so sorry to hear about this," I said as I comfort them,

"Shawn, thank you so much for saving our daughter. I thought you did something bad to our daughter," Camila's mom said,

"I won't, I love your daughter so much," I said and they smiled to me.

"Wait, why is she in Canada?" Camila's dad asked,

"I invited her to here, I was supposed about to introduce her with my parents today but this thing happened," I said,

"Oh, I see," he said.

We waited Camila to see what her response for next minutes or hours. But, there's still no response from her.

"I'm sorry, I think you should go take a rest, you must be so tired from the flight. I'll take care your daughter as well, I won't leave her," I said,

"Thank you so much, Shawn. Thank you for caring my daughter so much," Camila's mom said before they left the hospital,

"My biggest pleasure," I said and smiled to them.

"Call us if something happened with her," Camila's dad said to me, I nodded.

I walked in to Camila's room. I held her hand, waiting for her to wake up but she never will. There's still more 2 days for her to wake up.

"Camila, I miss you so much, can you please wake up, we all need you her, your dad, your mom....... your boyfriend and I," I said,

I cried and it sucks. I don't want to lose her. I love her so bad.

I stepped out from the room as I waited for her family to come back.
