Chapter 24

Shawn

I'm preparing myself to go to work. Yeah, I'm a barista right now, I worked at the cafe near Camila's house because that the easier way for her to come and spend our time together.

I can't believe it's my first day of work here in Miami, I mean I started it all in another city not in my hometown.

I jumped into Camila's car, well she borrowed me the car and drove to the cafe. I'm really excited to find some new friends here.

Hours later, I was really busy at work and I just realized it's already 1 pm which is very fast.

"Excuse me?" someone said as I poured a cappucino on a cup,

"Yeah, wait a min," I said,

"Ms. Sarah," I yelled so the lady who ordered the cappucino will come,

"Yeah, what do you want to order?" I said, I looked at her, she looked very familiar. She looked very familiar from the past.

"Oh, uhm, a hot chocolate please," she said as she took her phone out from the bag,

"Shawn? Is that you?" she said as she looked at my face,

"Chloe?! Oh my god, how are you?" I said,

"I'm good, what are you doing here?" she said,

Chloe Jenssen was my ex girlfriend from the past, like before Kate. She moved to Sweden because his dad's work and here she is at Miami.

"We should hang out later, I gotta finish this until 3," I said,

"Okay," she said as she waited for her hot chocolate.

I can't believe that we met again, I mean it's been years since I haven't see her face again. We broke up tragicly. She said that we should broke up when she already arrived in Sweden.

I don't even know too if she moved to Sweden that time. I know it hurts me so much until I don't really want to get a girlfriend until I saw Camila and Kate.

After I finished my shift, I decided to take Chole to my apartment. I mean I'm not gonna do something with her, we just want to hang out.

As we arrived, I decided to took a shower first so I get freshen up before a very long day at work.

"You want muffins? I baked it last night, sorry, I can heat it up on microwave," I said as I offered her the muffins,

"You didn't change much, Shawn. I mean, you get really tall," she said as she took her seat on the counter at the kitchen,

"Well, I grew up, Chloe. How's life? How's your parents?" I asked after I took a sip of my tea,

"Very well but my Dad passed away like 5 months ago," she said,

"Aw, I'm so sorry for you, I hope you're okay now. How's your mom?" I asked,

"She's good now with Kevin, my brother," she said,

"Ah, Kevin. I still remembered him, he was really small when I met him for the last time before you moved to Sweden and didn't tell me anything about that," I said,

"Shawn, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to," she said as she held my hand,

"It's okay, we're friends now," I said and smiled to her,

"What you do here in Miami?" I asked,

"Um, I got so many jobs here, I'm a painter and fashion designer right now, I draw everything," she said,

"That's very cool of you, you finally reached your dreams," I said.

"Uh-huh, that's right," she said.

As we talked everything about our life which is got a very long to tell, someone knocked the door. That must be Camila, I should've tell her about Chloe.

"The door is open," I said,

That's right, it's Camila. I know it. None of my family or friends in Canada knows my apartment.

"Well, hi," Chloe greeted,

"You must be Shawn's girlfriend or best friend?" she continued,

"It's complicated, don't ask," Camila said with grumpy tone. She looked so mad about this.

"Then who are you?" Camila asked,

"Well, I was Shawn's ex from the past and now don't worry we're just friends," Chloe tried to not worry Camila at all,

"Uhm, okay, so what are you doing here?" Camila asked.

Oh god, she needs to stop. She really need to stop, she can't act like that. I mean, I do love her, I wanted her to be my girlfriend but we're actually not official yet.

"Camila," I said,

"Go have your time," she said and walked out from my apartment,

"Oh god, I have to finish about this," I said as I put my hand on my forehead,

I decided to walk after Camila and tried to chase her. No matter what, I always got her.

"Camila, why did you do that to me?" I said softly,

"I get jealous, Shawn! I don't want you to be around pretty girls, I'm sorry I'm overreacted right now, even though we're not official yet," she said.

"I'm sorry, Camila. Chloe and I never met for a very a long time, she moved to Sweden and everything changed. Her dad passed away 5 months ago and she needs to work really hard for her family, I didn't mean to defend her but it's true," I said as I cupped her face and kissed her,

"I'm sorry, Shawn," she said as we pulled away from the kiss,

"It's okay, and now please back to my apartment and we can hang out together," I said as I pulled her hand and guide her to my apartment.

"It's fixed, now," I said and we laughed.

This is so insane like my first girlfriend is here, oh I mean my ex, and now my girlfriend to be is here too. They can shared both their things.

"You know? Shawn was a very calm person when he was in middle school like he never talk much except with teachers or me," Chloe said,

"Aww, poor Shawn," Camila said,

"I heard that guys," I said as I cooked dinner for three of us,

It's very great to see Chloe and Camila are closer and being friends, there's nothing wrong with that though.

i'm sorry for a very late and short chapter. i was very busy of school, i got so many homework and now i can finally post the new chapter.

new character again!!!!! let's see what happen later and thank you for reading.
