At the age of seventeen, you would think life would be great. It's not. At least for me it wasn't. I was doing every chore imaginable from doing the dishes to the laundry and from cutting grass to getting the dry cleaning. What had my life come to?
I had only one person I could talk to and that was my step-brother, Hunter. He would come to talk to me and sometimes felt bad for me, so he helped me with my chores. Which he wasn't supposed to do? But I appreciated it because you can't do lots of chores and do all your school homework. There just aren't enough hours in the day.
This also meant that I had no time to have a social life which is a big deal when you're a teenage girl in high school. I was a nobody at school. I was unseen but looked down upon because of my amazing knowledge in mathematics and being great at lots of sports. Which people don't appreciate because you can't be smart and athletic. It's one or the other. But I chose both.
But one day, I thought my life was going to change forever, when Hunter came bursting into my room.
