Friday morning was pretty much like usual. Mr. Jameson read the paper during breakfast and left for work; Thalia and Brianna ate and headed upstairs to get changed; Mrs. Jameson had a cup of tea and headed out for work. This left only me and Hunter in the kitchen.
I was just about done the dishes as Hunter plopped his dishes on the counter beside me.
"Morning," He said while opening the fridge.
"Morning," I replied and then asked, "So what's the plan for Saturday?"
Hunter poured some milk from the carton before answering. "I told mom I was going to Drake's to play some games and have a couple drinks. I told her that I should have someone drive me, and she said she would. But then I countered by saying you would. She got suspicious but didn't have time to ask questions because I finished by giving her a gift to butter her up."
"What sort of gift?" I questioned.
"I got her a gift certificate to go to the spa for Saturday night," Hunter responded casually, "I told her you would drop me off, do errands and then wait and do homework at Drake's until I was ready to go home. She agreed. It was that simple."
I was so happy that I gave Hunter a hug while saying, "Thanks so much. You couldn't understand how much I appreciate this."
He pushed me away. "It was no problem. Now I'm just asking, don't do anything stupid on your date, like get drunk because that won't be easy to explain. "
"Deal."
I finished the dishes while Hunter made his lunch for school. Once I was done a walked out of the kitchen. I headed to my room and got ready for school.
