After my last class ended, I noticed someone standing by my locker while I was coming into the hall with my locker. He saw me coming and grinned.
"Hey, Lex."
"Hi, Jonas. When are we leaving for your place to play ball?" I asked in a steady tone.
"Whenever you're ready," Jonas informed me.
"Give me a minute and then I'll be ready to beat your sorry butt," I chuckled.
"You sound so positive you'll win. How do you know I haven't been practicing?" Jonas taunted while taking my hand, "You never know."
I grabbed my messenger bag filled with my sweats, runners and homework and walked hand in hand with Jonas out of the school.
