Tuesday morning was all a blur of boring classes and long-winded teachers. Once the bell rang for lunch, I was so happy. I couldn't wait to find Jonas and talk with him.
I got to the cafeteria and started down the counter grabbing food as I went along. While I was waiting for the people in front of me to pick their drinks, I looked around for Jonas with no success.
Once I had all my food, I went through the cafeteria looking for Jonas and a place to sit.
I finally noticed the back of a tall guy in jeans and jacket. He was looking down at someone. The guy was looking at a girl, who was in a cute, short, and tight spaghetti strapped dress and about two inch heels. That's when I noticed they were holding hands and looking into each other's eyes. And to make things worse, she kissed him. Gross, public area.
Then it hit me. I knew that guy. It was Jonas. I also knew the girl, Tiffany Silverstein, the head cheerleader. Then before I knew it questions were flying through my head. Why was he just kissing Tiffany? Are they a couple? Was he leading me on? Did he even like me?
I couldn't handle the scene anymore, so I took my food and left the cafeteria on the verge of tears.
The rest of Tuesday was full of bad memories of Jonas kissing Tiffany and how I was going to accuse him at Wednesday's basketball 'date' after school. Most of the accusations were full of tears and unfriendly language. I had to control my emotions is what it all came down to.
