Just Because You Can't See The End Of The Horizon, Doesn't Mean It's Not There

I've been swimming in this ocean for 2 years,

My fingers are pruning up,

I need to get out but,

I've floated too far away from the shore where all my friends are.

I don't think they notice i'm gone.

I see her and she spots me and smirks,

Says something to everyone and then more waves start to come one by one,

Threatening to make me go under which each one.

He came on a surfboard to rescue me,

I'm going to be saved is what i exclaimed,

But, A dolphin swam past and i grabbed on as i looked back at him,

The color of sadness in his eyes,

Why did I grab onto something that popped up when i knew that i had known him longer than this dolphin?

I did what i did,

It took me closer to the shore but then i managed to slip off,

Just because you think something is forever,

doesn't mean it is.

I try to swim back into the depths of this ocean,

Only to see he's further than my reach now,

I try to reach out but receive nothing.

I made a choice,

But that's okay.

I can live with it,

Just stay happy for me.
