His white t-shirt and dark blue jeans complimented his dark brown eyes and tan skin. I was sure if I slid the t-shirt off his toned body, I would see an eight pack. I ogled him some more until I heard him clear his throat. Perv, teased Astrid.

I heard him inhale as he stepped past me and made his way into the room. "Mine!" He declared as he pounced on...Sharon? She yelped in surprise as he pulled her into his muscular chest. The moment they locked eyes, a look of utter disbelief and joy lit up Sharon's face.

I carefully walked out of the room, making sure I wasn't interrupting this magical moment. A bittersweet smile crossed my face. I was proud and jealous of her happy ending. I shut the door silently to give them privacy. They're going to need some time to get... familiar, Astrid hinted at me. Shut up, I tossed back with a roll of my eyes.

I descended down the stairs feeling elegant and walked into the ballroom. No one here knew I was an omega and Gamma James was nowhere in sight. I felt confident in the crowd of werewolves dancing wildly to the EDM that was playing [Electronic Dance Music]. Today is going to be a good night.

When Luna Elise mentioned the Greeting Party, I had no idea it was going to be this kind of party. Grab some beer and go dance. You deserve to have fun for tonight, Astrid urged in my head.

As I walked towards the table, I noticed a werewolf who seemed to be bored and out of place. You could tell he was trying to blend in by wearing all black like me. It would've worked, but I felt his eyes burning into my back as I poured myself a cup of beer. I felt the dulling buzz kick in as I stepped onto the dance floor, more carefree than ever.

I lost myself to the beat of the song and some she-wolves came to join me. We danced for a couple of songs until I noticed the werewolf who was watching me had disappeared. Not my problem, I thought as I continued to dance. Find him, Astrid pushed. She kept asking until I clumsily tossed my beer aside and began to look for him.

Absently, I trudged along, unsure of where to look. I didn't even catch his scent. What I remembered from the quick glance I gave him was he had a tattoo on his arm that peeked out from under his black t-shirt. I checked a few random rooms I passed by, but they were either empty or some wolves were getting... Animalistic? Astrid offered. Haha, yea I guess you could say that, I laughed.

Eventually I gave up and began to head back to the ballroom, until I realized I was completely and utterly lost. Astrid? Help me out here? I asked her, desperate to find my way back. Not until you find the werewolf. He's important. I can feel it, Astrid said before she shut me out. "Aurgh!" I groaned out in frustration.

I walked into a random room and plopped down onto the couch. This room was absolutely stunning. It had a 1950's feel to it with its black and white pictures. I laid down on the couch and watched the delicate crystals on the ceiling's light sparkle and dance. Just as I was about to prop my feet up onto the armrest, a voice interrupted me.

"You might not want to do that, the couch is vintage." A low, husky voice filled the room. It was single-handedly the most attractive voice I have ever heard. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath in. He smelt like the sun in a forest, with a perfect mix of vanilla and mint. I turned around to put a face to the beautiful voice and amazing smell. Mate, Astrid yipped in my mind as my eyes met his.

My whole world stopped and my heart beat faster as I drank him in. His dark brown, almost black hair was slicked back and out of his face. His eyes were the green of emeralds, but darkened as he stared back at me. His tattoo turned out to be a wolf, howling up at a full moon. Perfect. Ours, Astrid agreed in my mind.
