Hello fellow readers! Just another heads up that this chapter will CONTAIN PHYSICAL ABUSE. If that isn't for you, skip it over everything until you see a "& & & & & & &". After the "& & & & & & &", there will still be a little bit of gore, so be prepared. I haven't written anything like this before, so bear with me!

"AH!"
I gasped as I heard a scream echoing throughout the basement. The sound of it alone had me shaking ten times worse than I was before. As my eyes adjusted to the dim lighting, I realized that Gamma James wasn't in the cell with me.I laid my head on the cement floor in relief, ignoring the blood stains on the ground. This cell had bars of silver, cutting off any communication I had with my wolf. This preventing me from shifting. A chair with silver chains stood in the middle of the cell, looming over my quivering figure.
"Miss me?" Chuckled Gamma James as he opened the cell door. He wore gloves with silver knuckles. I winced as I thought of the pain it would take to get the silver out of my bloodstream. "I asked you a question!" He yelled suddenly furious.
"I-I'm sorry about the dirty dishes and it won't happen again." I pleaded, desperate to save myself from any pain. Without my wolf, I felt weak and completely alone.
"Too bad your apologies are worthless." Gamma James said as he ripped off my shirt and began to chain me down to the chair. I hissed as I felt the chains burn into my wrists and ankles as he tightened them.
I screamed in pain after the first punch to my stomach, unfortunately the sign of weakness only encouraged him. I found myself missing my t-shirt after a couple of hard jabs all over my torso. At least then the silver wouldn't burn this much.
My eyes began to roll back into my head as the pain continued on relentlessly. I will not pass out! I'm so much stronger than this. Get through this for Astrid. With the thought of my wolf in mind, I gritted my teeth to suppress the screams that tried to escape.
I almost cried out in relief as he walked briskly out the cell door. "Get this pathetic mess cleaned up now!" Gamma James yelled over his shoulder to the guard located near my cell. Though his face had looked smug when he walked out, I thought I could see a glint of guilt in his eyes.
& & & & & & &
I was pulled out of my thoughts as I felt the guard haul me up and out of the basement. I could faintly feel Astrid in the back of my mind, but she was weak. I scanned the bright hall through squinted eyes and saw no wolves. They were probably getting ready for bed.
I looked to the guard who was helping me when I heard a gasp escape his lips. He looked at my wounds with wide eyes now that he could see them clearly. "I'm fine. What's your name?" I asked desperate to switch the topics. I was embarrassed that he saw me in such a weak state.
"It's Tristan, I had no idea Gamma James would go this far for, what was it? Dirty dishes? That's insane!" Tristan said as he slung my arm over his shoulders.
"How did you know?"
"Well, he wasn't exactly quiet when he punched you half to death." Noticing the expression on my face, Tristan quickly mumbled out an apology. We stumbled down the hall until with a sigh, he picked me up effortlessly and carried me to the pack hospital.
"Thank you, Tristan, I'm sorry for dirtying your clothes with my blood." I apologized with my head bowed.
"Hey, don't say that." Tristan said. Shocked at his gentle tone, I lifted my head up so my eyes met his, "We're friends now okay? Friends help each other." It was in that moment I realized how handsome he really was. I never gave it any thought before.
His eyes were dark blue like the ocean and his blonde hair was lightly tousled and swept to the side. He's definitely muscular too, Astrid purred. I was sure I was blushing, but thankfully he had already looked away.
Tristan continued to hold me in his arms while waiting for the Pack Doctor, Frank, to come and meet us. Doctor Frank and I had grown close over the years due to the amount of times he had to operate on me after punishments. He was one of the few pack members who truly knew what went on after 9 pm, however, he too feared the wrath of Gamma James.
Suddenly the door flew open to reveal Doctor Frank. A frown made its way onto his face as he took in my weakened state. I must have been quite the sight to see with my blistered, bloodied and burned body on display. "Nurse! Clear a bed for me now! Prepare the liquidized Wolfsbane!" He yelled as he took me from Tristan's arms.
For a few moments I felt safe in Doctor Frank's arms until I was placed onto the hospital bed. The nurse briskly walked in with bottles of clear liquid and the scent of Wolfsbane filled the room. I tensed with fear as I anticipated the pain that would come. Wolfsbane was used as an antidote for silver inflicted injuries.
Tsss. The pain of the Wolfsbane burning out the silver overwhelmed my senses. My claws extended as I gripped the sheets on the thin mattress tightly. Noticing my wolf was surfacing, Doctor Frank injected me with Serum K. This serum prevented me from shifting into my wolf, but still left me with my werewolf strength, speed and senses in human form.
I faintly felt the nurse holding me down as she and the Doctor continued to clean and dress my wounds. The pain of this process was worse than the pain I felt from Gamma James's fists. Astrid howled in agony as she bore the pain with me. After several minutes, the suffering ended as I succumbed to the darkness that clouded my vision.
