"What is your problem?!" I yelled as I kicked down our bedroom door. I'm mad too, but damn what'd that door do to you, Astrid said. Startled, Liam fell off the couch and looked up at me in shock. "This whole morning you've been in a pissy mood and I haven't done anything wrong."

Liam got up slowly as though any sudden movements would cause me to tear his throat out. He was probably right. "I- uh..." Liam scratched his head and looked embarrassed.

"You what?" I clenched my fists in annoyance.

"I just- It's hard to explain." Liam was looking anywhere in the room, trying to avoid my angry glare. I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms.

"I. Don't. Care! Just tell me!" I was yelling at this point and Liam was looking more and more uncomfortable by the second, but that just angered me more.

"What the hell is going on?" Liam and I turned to the door to see Sharon and Dylan. Dylan was nudging the fallen door with his foot. Sharon looked at my red and angry face to Liam's grimace. "What did you do?" Sharon asked Liam accusingly.

"I was..." Liam looked pleadingly towards Dylan. Understanding and recognition passed between them and Dylan began to laugh.

"Good luck man." Dylan picked up the door and walked out of the room. Confused, Sharon and I looked at each other. We're going to get whatever it is out of him, Sharon assured me through mind-link. A smile spread across my face, This is why I love you. We made our way towards Liam who had inched towards the bathroom door.

"You going to tell us what happened or what?" Sharon demanded. She slightly tilted her head to the right and kept her face void of emotion.

"My wolf and I, we've been –oh god." Liam closed his eyes and furrowed his brows.

"God can't help you now." Sharon said menacingly as I tugged her arm towards the doorway.

"Come on, let's just go. This is hopeless." We were halfway down the stairs when we heard Liam's exasperated groan.

"I'm horny okay!" Liam's voice echoed throughout the pack house and the pack's laughter filled the air. Slowly, Sharon and I turned towards the top of the stairs. There, Liam stood with a horrified expression.

"W-what?" I blinked in shock and looked at Sharon whose mouth had dropped open. Suddenly we both collapsed onto the step and dissolved into laughter. Our chuckles and snorts blended in with those of the pack. Meanwhile, Liam had sat down on the steps, cradling his head with his hands in utter embarrassment.

Eventually, everyone got back to what they were doing and I made my way up to Liam. I sat down beside him and slung my arm around his shoulders. "Why didn't you just tell me? I'm sure that would have been better than yelling it out to the world." I said teasingly.

"I'm sure you know that most male wolves mark their mate the day they meet them. Some even mate with them too." Liam turned his body to face me. "I chose not to because you were injured and I wanted your consent first. So many things happened in the days you got here and the last thing I wanted was to overwhelm you. It hasn't been easy holding my wolf back, in fact it gets harder every day."

"Just do it. I never had anyone show me love and compassion like you have. I think I lo-" Liam pressed his lips against mine and my heart began to beat rapidly. I carefully placed one had on his shoulder and the other on his cheek. Liam's lips were slightly chapped as though he had been biting them. Our mouths moved in sync and I could hear Astrid's pleased purr. Get it girl, Astrid sighed dreamily.

After a couple of blissful seconds, he broke the kiss. Liam stroked the sensitive skin on my shoulder, the place where he would bestow his mark upon me. My lips parted in pleasure and I took a breath in.
