*Flashback* 10 years ago. (Alpha Leo's P.O.V.) Continuation

"Blake! What happened? I can't feel the mating bond with Belinda anymore! My mind-link has been severed!" I asked panicked. Tension in my muscles built up with every passing second. I desperately wanted to run back to my mate, but not before I got further details. If I am going to save my mate, I will not run into the battle blindly.

"What? Only the mind-link with your pack should be affected. You should still be able to feel the-" Blake's eyes glazed over as a pack member mind-linked him. "Leo. Go now. Your pack is under attack by rogues." I shifted and ran to my pack. My sweet angel, I am coming for you. Please my dear Moon Goddess, let her be safe.

When I finally made it to my pack I froze, shocked to see such carnage. Bodies of my beloved pack lay scattered across my land. Blood covered the walls of the Pack House and I could hear the moans of my wounded Pack Members. Every limp and lifeless body I saw and whimper of pain and grief I heard added to the mountain of guilt that weighed my heart down. One of my Pack Warriors approached me with a crestfallen expression. "Alpha, Luna Belinda... She's... gone."

"N-no. This can't be true. Where is she?!" I yelled infuriated. Although I knew deep down that my mate was gone, I continued to delude myself with the fantasy that she was still breathing.

"Her body, it's in the hospital." I ran to the Pack Hospital and fell to the ground as I saw my lifeless angel. If it weren't for her scent, I wouldn't have been able to recognize her. Her body had been torn to shreds. I desperately ran my hands through her matted, blood soaked hair.

"P-please. Angel, open your eyes. I can't live knowing I wasn't here to protect you. I failed as a mate. Please forgive me. Give me a sign you are still alive. Please. Please!" I cried helplessly. The silence of her heart that no longer beat and the breaths she no longer took haunted my wolf and I. The mountain of guilt had succeeded in crumbling my heart into the dark pits of remorse and self-pity. I pleaded and pleaded until my voice grew hoarse.

"Alpha. We know who the killer is. She not only took your mate, but my mate as well." Fighter James came to tell me. He was one of my best fighters. I was surprised when I learned he wasn't a Pack Warrior.

"Where are they!" I demanded as my body shook with a new found fury that ignited from the debris of my shattered soul.

"They are from our very own pack. The one who recently found his rogue mate. He tipped off his mate that you were leaving tonight. The rogue had gathered a large amount of werewolves and attacked." James tossed the pair of pathetic traitors to my feet.

I dragged them down to the basement feeling a sinful lust for their agony. I stopped and turned towards James, who was I to deny him of the pleasure to avenge his mate. "Give me a hand will you?" We gave each other a sinister look and began to torture the pair.

Eventually they died of blood loss and I couldn't care less. The only thing I felt was the satisfaction of having their screams etched into my mind. "What would you like us to do with their kids, Alpha? They are young, 7 and 10." James asked me with slight concern.

"Please do not call me Alpha anymore. From this day on, you will be my Gamma. We will have an official ceremony in a week."

"Thank you, Leo."

"And for their mutts? We will make them serve us. Clean after us. They will be treated as slaves. They do not deserve anything better." Thus, the first omegas were born.
