My peaceful slumber was broken by a feather-like touch on my cheek. Surprisingly, I didn't wake up as grumpily as I usually do. I guess the mating bond truly does wonders. A low hum of a tune I didn't recognize drifted to my ears. My eyelids fluttered open and I squinted at the bright window. I hate the sun, Astrid said groggily.

"Morning, princess." Liam said. His voice was lower than usual and slightly scratchy from his sleep. I shivered when his finger slid down from my cheek to my shoulder. Liam began to trace the area in which he would mark me. The smile on his face grew as he heard my heart beat faster.

"Hey." I replied, distracted by how good his finger felt. I leaned forward to press a kiss to his lips when he suddenly got up off the bed.

"I, uh, have to go shower. Get dressed, the meeting with Blake is approaching." Liam walked towards the washroom, tripping on a pillow that had fallen from the night before. Irked by his unusual behavior I threw off the blanket that covered me in his scent. Maybe our breath smells bad, Astrid suggested hopefully. I definitely needed to discuss this with Sharon.

My eyes landed on a black plastic bag beside the bedroom door. As I walked towards it, I noticed a note taped to the bag. Thought you would be tired of wearing Liam's baggy shirts. This should be enough for a week or so, we can go shopping another time, I know you've been busy. Hope you like my choices. -Christy xx. I smiled and grabbed the large bag. Christy must have delivered it earlier this morning. I dumped out its contents onto the black couch in Liam's room.

I slipped on a lilac bra and underwear set from Victoria's Secret and a pair of black leggings. Just as I was about to put on a red hoodie, I heard the bathroom door open. Liam stood with his skin glistening with water droplets. My eyes zeroed in on one particular drop that slid down his tan abs and disappeared into the top of his towel. I licked my lips and heard Liam breathe a little faster.

"Do you have to be so messy?" He scolded, motioning to the couch covered with my clothing.

"I wasn't- I uh," I stuttered, shocked by his anger. I let out a huff of annoyance once the shock faded. I picked up the bag and began to shove the clothing back in. "Sorry." I said sarcastically and grit my teeth.

"Forget it. Put on a shirt and be ready in five minutes." Liam said roughly as he yanked open a drawer. I yanked the hoodie over my head and threw open the door. What the hell did I do wrong? I followed Alpha Blake's scent to his office and stormed in, forgetting to knock.

"Can we get on with this-" I voice trailed off as I took on the scene before me. Alpha Blake had ripped open Christy's blouse to reveal her black, strapless bra. Christy was kissing his neck so passionately, it was sure to leave a bruise. They both looked up at my bright red face and I quickly looked away. "I'm so sorry Alpha-"

"Enough with the titles! God, they make me feel old." Alpha Blake chuckled. He sure was in a good mood today. Yea, I wonder why, Astrid said sarcastically.

"I'll knock next time." I mumbled with my eyes locked onto the floor.

"I'm going to get a new shirt considering the fact that you destroyed this one. I told you to not rip my shirts anymore!" Christy spat angrily at Blake.

"Well, you didn't seem to mind that a few minutes ago." Blake said cheekily. Perhaps the discovery of Liam and I lifted some strain off of Blake. In my time here, I've never seen him without his usual tension and "all-mighty Alpha" facade. Christy huffed and stomped out of the room.

She crashed into Liam who was walking into the office. His hands shot out to stop her from falling, only to grip onto her breast. Blake growled furiously as he ripped Liam off of his scantily dressed mate. "Liam, you are going to play a big role in the fight coming up, hell you might even save us all, but if you touch my mate again, I will kill you. Understand?"

"Yes boss." Liam's eyes were wide and darted from Blake's angry face to Blake's hands that were tightly gripping Liam's arms.

"Good." Blake eyed him one more time and sat down at the head of the table. "Take a seat. We have important matters to discuss." Liam pulled out a chair for me and sat down. He impatiently waited for me to take a seat beside him. On a normal day I would have, but after this morning, I chose to sit down across from him. Liam let out a noise of frustration and roughly pushed the chair back in, creating a loud bang.

"Okay then." Blake said as he eyed the both of us. Our heads turned to the door when Christy walked in with a fresh shirt. Her eyes glazed over as she received a mind-link and her eyes darted to Liam, the space between us and then to me.

"Well then." She said and she sat down beside Blake. She cleared her throat, "As you both know, you have received the Moon Goddess's memory. This makes you two the Saviour Mates."

"Since Christy and I are leaders of this pack, we have received a vision from the Moon Goddess. You Saviours will lead us into the battle with the Levagairs. You will both become the greatest warriors of this pack and become top-notch battle strategists." Alpha Blake explained.

"Kate, have you ever wondered why you and Sharon never had post traumatic stress from your mistreatment in the Lunar Pack? Have you ever wondered why you're so confident with your wolf and weaker without her? Astrid holds off emotions that distract you from battle or may weaken you in any way. This includes the time you killed the rogue. However, in battle, Blake and I believe that your love for Liam may be cut off and vice versa. Your wolves will be so focused on surviving that love may not be a priority. That's what makes you two different from this pack." Christy said grimly. I began to nervously twiddle my fingers.

"That's the curse of the Saviour Mates. Your drive to live and your passion for the fight will override anything else in your life. Mates will no longer be a priority, but this doesn't mean you can't love each other. It simply means in a battle, your wolf will always choose itself and not the other, even if it results in the death of the other." Alpha Blake said.

"No. Kate will always be my priority. She has to be! A world without her wouldn't be worth it." Determination flickered in Liam's eyes, like a candle's flame on a windy day. My head snapped towards him and my face held a baffled expression. Wasn't he acting distant and rude just a few minutes ago?

"That's real great and poetic, but my vision said otherwise. Sorry bud, you're outta luck. These visions come straight from the Moon Goddess." Blake said tapping his head. "Training begins tomorrow. No exceptions. You will both learn more about the history of this pack, parts no one else but Christy and I know. You will both be conditioned into real warriors."

"There's a catch to all of this. You will both develop a connection with the Levagairs. This connection will drive you to aid them instead of us. You will essentially be forced to pick sides. Who you choose can only be up to you. As the Levagairs come closer and out of their realm, this connection will grow stronger. Soon, it will delude the both of you and lure you to help them win this battle. It will make you want to betray and kill us." Christy scrutinized us and clenched her teeth.

"Obviously, you will both receive different training than the other Warriors. Christy and I will personally teach you to strengthen your minds to keep this connection at bay, fight and learn different battle strategies. Don't stay up too late." Blake sighed at our childish refusal to look at each other. "Though that shouldn't be a problem. Meeting dismissed."

Liam threw his chair back and rushed out of the room, but not before giving me a dirty look. I clenched my fists angrily and my nails pierced my flesh. I let out a slow breath through my nose in an attempt to calm down. Liam better have an explanation for the way he was acting or Levagairs are going to be the least of his worries.

"Don't kill him. The werewolf race kinda needs him." Christy rubbed my back in an attempt to calm me, but it was as effective as fighting a blazing fire with a spray bottle.

"No promises." I said and stalked out the room to find Sharon. Hopefully she wasn't wrapped up with Dylan... Literally.

"You think we got any spare Saviours?" Blake said with a nervous chuckle.
