My eyes snapped open and I let out a bloodcurdling scream. I fell to my knees and shook on the floor. I could faintly hear Liam yelling in the background and people rushing to my side. I felt hands reaching for my quivering arms as I tried to steady my breathing. Was all that truly just a vision?
Suddenly a word popped into my mind. Levagair. Levagiar. Levagair, Astrid chanted in my mind. I began to murmur the same chant, "Levagair. Levagair." I sensed Alpha Blake and Luna Christy stiffen beside me. Confused, I looked up, only to see that everyone else had already backed away from me. I felt like a wild animal everyone wanted to help, but was afraid to.
"What? What is she saying? Is she okay?" Sharon asked, rushing towards me in a panic, searching for answers no one would give.
One emotion out of the cluster was the most prominent. I felt fury boiling inside of me. I felt angry for all those wolves who had been killed by those beasts, all the families that had been torn apart. I slammed my fists into the earth angrily repeatedly and let out frustrated grunts. I clawed crazily at the dirt as though I was back in the battle with the beast. My brown eyes blackened as Astrid began to throw her anguish into my punches.
Silence surrounded me as the pack watched on. They crouched into defensive positions when my fangs emerged, indicating I was close to a shift. "Stop." Alpha Blake ordered with an arm protectively around Christy. My movements ceased immediately and I fell backwards onto the dirt. I curled into a ball and started to cry. I couldn't get a hold of myself. My head spun unbearably with the aftershocks of the vision.
Familiar arms wrapped around my tense and curled figure. Recognizing who it was, I instantly sagged with relief. Liam must have been unchained in all the commotion. I buried my face into his neck as he consoled me in a low voice. The vibration of his chest as he spoke instantly soothed me and I relaxed into his arms. Tell them about the Levagairs, Astrid urged.
"Levagairs." I announced. My voice rung out into the silent night and the pack's attention turned to me. "My wolf has been chanting that name, or whatever it is, repeatedly." The beasts I witnessed in the vision must be called Levagairs. The silence that followed my words held fear. I could hear everyone's heartbeats quicken. Including Alpha Blake's. The grip he had around Christy tightened as he spoke.
"Kate you have received the memory of the Moon Goddess. Only the Moon Goddess has memories of exactly what happened in the Levagair War, thousands of years ago. If this memory has been passed on, that could only mean two things. One, we have found our Saviour Mates and two, the Levagairs are back." Alpha Blake said grimly. His muscles were tense and his brows were furrowed as he explained. The pack remained silent as they watched their leader, waiting for his next command.
"Saviour Mates? How can any pack go up against these Levagairs, let alone two werewolves?" After seeing the carnage, blood and pain of the Levagair War, I hopelessly prayed that Alpha Blake was wrong about their return.
"We'll talk tomorrow. We must swear you into the Blood Oath now." Alpha Blake said tiredly as his eyes drifted off to the full moon that lit the dark forest. He nodded towards two wolf guards. "Hold Liam back to make sure he does not interfere. If he interferes, we will have to restart." Liam glared at the forest ground and grit his teeth as the guards wound the chains back around his wrists and to the tree once again.
"What about the Prophecy? Why didn't I receive that?" I asked in confusion.
"You don't need the Prophecy. I'm sure it's already clear from what you have seen. You know what this pack is and what it does." Alpha Blake said as he placed a hand on my shoulder.
I did. This pack was entirely made up of Pack Warriors. Stronger and faster than the ordinary werewolf. So skilled in fighting, it was engraved into our natural instincts and written in our DNA. We had one purpose only. Protect the werewolf race, presumably from the beasts. The Levagairs.
"The process is simple. You will repeat the oath to me and your soul will be binded to the Moon Goddess by the conditions of the oath." Alpha Blake closed his eyes and tilted his head back to the sky and I followed in suit obediently. "I swear to never speak a word of what I had witnessed tonight, unless on Moonstone territory."
I almost opened my eyes in surprise when I realised how simple the oath was. I had expected a small speech filled with large words I did not understand. "I swear to never speak a word of what I had witnessed tonight, unless on Moonstone territory." I said breezily, not prepared for what was to come.
I felt nothing for a second, then suddenly I felt everything. I felt the blood that pumped within my veins heat up. Eventually, I could hear the sizzling of my flesh as the blood began to burn my from the inside. I screamed over and over again as I began to cough up blood that hissed when it touched the ground. The liquid running down my face was a mixture of tears, sweat and blood.
When my blood returned back to it's normal temperature, I found myself shaking on the ground. I looked to my arms and body, expecting to see bone. The boiling blood within me must have been hot enough to burn away the flesh.
"You are not actually injured. The end of the blood oath was another vision. It is what would happen to you if you revealed enough information on tonight's events. I suggest you keep silent if you don't want to die an excruciating, slow death." Alpha Blake explained. Through his threat, I could sense his fear. His fear that the Levagairs would come and destroy us all.
"Unchain Liam, it's safe now." Christy ordered the guards. The moment Liam was free, he sprinted towards me and pulled me to my feet.
"It's going to be okay, moonlight." He soothed while Alpha Blake began to give last minute orders to the pack. Despite the crazy night, I couldn't help but giggle at the new endearment.
"Moonlight?" I teased, flicking his nose playfully.
"Seemed to fit better than sunshine." Liam said and he kissed me on the top of my nose. If he gave us a pet name like sunshine, I would call him vitamin D, Astrid said coyly. Liam picked me up into his arms and walked off towards the pack house. I looked around and noticed most of the wolves, including Alpha Blake and Christy, had already left. Only a few remained to gaze at the moon. I snuggled into his chest and inhaled in his scent.
"If we're mates, does that mean you received the Moon Goddess's Memory too?" I closed my eyes and suddenly felt drained of all my energy.
"I did. Because Blake told the whole pack about the Saviour Mates tonight, I have become free from my oath to him. I can now talk about it with you and anyone else I choose to without suffocating!" Liam said jokingly.
That night, I found myself in his arms buried under the fluffy duvet of his bed. I was surrounded in his scent and by him. I felt my sore muscles release any leftover tension from tonight's events. The only thing present in that room that night was Liam's soft snores, a new found connection between us and love.
Wait love? Am I already in love with Liam? I don't even know his last name. Who knew the mating bond could be so... Confusing. But now that I think about it, I don't want the "perfect love". I just want Liam. As I drifted off to sleep I realized another flaw in this bewildering relationship, we've never kissed either. On the lips at least. What was holding Liam back?

Hello loves! I apologize for this delay. I thought I would have wifi on my vacation, but I didn't. (Sucks, I know D: )This chapter gave me a lot of trouble to write and I'm still not completely satisfied with it. I will probably make a couple of changes, but nothing that will disrupt the overall plot. Because of my late update, I have decided to post a short flashback on what happened after the Pack Warriors were taken from the packs. Hope you guys are enjoying this so far!! Follow, comment and vote!-Dana :) (:
