CHRESANTO POV

I sat on the couch thinking about Gabriella. She is always on my mind. Right now, she's at work. Won't be back for a while but it's okay. Also. Chrissy is having a little play date with her friend while, Chris, Trey, and Crystal are at my moms house. When she's ready, I'ma take her there but right now she should be enjoying some time with her friend. I was just, getting a little curious about them, so I went up there. The door was open, so I got closer to it trying not to be noticeable, but listening to their conversation. "My Grandparents live in a huge house. And my grandpa has his own golfing business. What do your grandparents do?" her friend asked her. Christina put her head down and just like Ella's, her hair fell in front of her face. "One of my grandmas is a nurse. But, I never met any of my other grandparents. Sometimes, I ask my mom about them. But I guess it's too hard for her to talk about them cuz she never does." Chrissy said. I sighed, and walked away. I don't want my daughter to be clueless and confused becaus she doesn't know about me and Ella's parents. It's just, Me and Ella really don't like to talk about them. Of course, I'll do it about my mom, because my mom is amazing. But my dad died a long time ago. And Ella's dad died about 2 years ago. She never went to the funeral, but at times she did cry. He didnt deserve her tears though. Nobody does. Not even me. Seeing her cry isn't a good feeling. I don't even like it when my kids cry. I feel as if, I'm the reason why they cry. Like, I didn't do something right. But seeing Gabriella still take on all the pain and still put smiles on everyone's face is great. I sat down on the couch and all these thoughts were running through my head. I was in deep thought right now. A few minutes later, the door bell rang. I got up to answer it. It was Chrissy's friends mom. "Hi." I said smiling. She smiled too. "Hi Chresanto. Uhh, is Alexis ready to go?" she asked me. "Yeah. I was just about to take Christina to her gandma's house anyway." I said. "Alright. Can I go get her?" I moved out the way and she went upstairs to Chrissy's room. A few minutes later, all 3 of them came down. "Thanks for letting her come over. Even though she really didn't deserve it." The lady said. I half smiled, and Chrissy came over to me wrapping her arms around my waist. I looked down at her and put my hand on her back. "What do you say?" the lady asked her daughter. "Thanks for letting me come over Mr. August." Alexis said smiling at me. "Anytime." I said. "Thanks again. Bye Christina." the woman waved to Christina, then left. I bent down to her height and looked at her. "Ready to go to Grandma's?" I asked her. She smiled, and the hair just fell in her face. "Yes. Can we go get ice cream on the way?" she asked. I was about to say no, but I could tell she was feeling a little down. "Yes. Gimmie kiss." I said poking my lips out. She smiled and gave me a kiss. I smiled, and looked at her hair. Is it my fault she has so much? She's got the longest hair in this house. "Let me put your hair in a pony tail or something. It's already bad enough Ella's hair does the same thing." I said pulling her hair back. "Papì, you're not a hair dresser. You can't do hair." she said laughing. I smiled. "What makes you think I can't?" "Because you're a boy." "Oh yeah? Well watch my make a better ponytail then mamà does." I took a scrunchy out of the hair stuff box, and put Christina's hair in a ponytail. It actually looked decent. "Go look." I told her. She walked over to the mirror that was in the hallway. "It's okay..." She said smiling. "I know you think it's better then okay. You might not know, but I used to have really long hair." I said pointing to myself. "Really?" she asked. I nodded my head. "What happened to it?" "I cut it all off." "Why Papì? People with long hair always have pretty hair." I picked her up. "It was too much, and I was growing up. I wanted a more mature look. And people with short hair have pretty hair too. Mamà's hair is short. She cut hers." "Mamà's hair isn't short. It's long papì." "It's both long and short. Let's leave it like that." I said kissing her cheek. She giggled a little, and wrapped her arms around my neck. "I love you." she said quietly. "I love you too." I said smiling.

GABRIELLA POV

I walked into Mr. Clarks office. "Gabriella.." he said smiling at me. I laughed a little. "Hey boss. Uhh, have you seen DaVanna?" I asked. "No. She hasn't been in lately. I saw her today though. Did you check her office?" he asked. "No, not yet. Thanks." he smiled and I walked out the office. Still trying to figure out what happened that one day. Why Nautica and Bre'l were after DaVanna when they clearly should've been after me. According to them, I am the reason why Chres broke up with them. Real truth? He left their sorry ratchet asses. Not my fault. But I have so many things to worry about, till I can actually start thinking straight again. Till, me and Chresanto can our kids without having to worry about someone trying to harm us, or disturb us. To think, high school would be the last place drama would be. I was so damn wrong! 2 things I can't stop thinking about is, my mother and DaVanna and Cj. Mainly DaVanna and Cj, because I don't really give 2 shits about my mom right now. For all I care she can kiss my ass. Bur, she keeps trying to get me to accept her so called, new self. It's going to take a lot more then just a apology. I'm not worried about her too much though. Like, she already bought an apatment with money I have no idea she got it from. It's going to be harder to get a job with a criminal record. The best place she could go to get a job would have to be a tattoo artist or something. I ran into Davanna's office and she wasn't there. I rolled my eyes and sat down in the chair. I looked around her office and she had a lot of pictures of all 8 of us back in high school. I smiled at the picture she had up of me and Chres. I decided to come back when she was here. When I walked in the hallway, she was walking in her office. "Gabriella?" she asked. She looked the same. Nothings changes. Good sign right? I half smiled. "Hey DaVanna. How's your day?" I asked. She wrinkled up her face. "Why were you in my office?" she asked. "I was looking for you, and went to your office." I laughed a little. "Kind of got distracted by the pictures so I was in there for a minute. But I left and then you came." she nodded her head. "Okay. Well bye." she said walking back into her office. I ran up to her. "Wait!" I said. My heel was getting a little wobbly. "How are you and Craig?" I asked smiling at her. "We're, we're fine thanks for asking." she walked behind her desk and started going through some papers. "I've got to do something and if you're still going to be in here. Whatever. I'll be back." with that being said, she walked out the room leaving me there. I wrinkled up my face trying to look at the papers she was going through. I peaked out the door to see if anyone was coming. No ones was, so I ran behind her desk. I started lookin through the papers. I feel so bad and guilty doing this, but there is something that they're hiding from us all. I saw a few papers with the same things written on them. Something about hospitals and test. What? I kept trying to read as much as I could till I heard footsteps. I ran back to the place I was standing an tried to look like I didnt do anything. DaVanna walked in. "Uhh, gotta go now! Chresanto needs me I said running out the room. While I was running, the wobbly heel of mine broke. I took off my shoe and ran to my office. I grabbed my stuff and left my job. Might as well go to Cj's house. I drove to his house, an called Chres on the way. I waited for him to answer. "What's up sexy." he said. His voice was calm and reall deep. Meaning, he was tired. I smiled. "Hi Chresanto. How's Chrissy?" I asked. "Just dropped her off at my moms house. Now you should be coming home like now?" I sighed. "I have to make a slight stop before I go home." "Which is where?" "Craigs house. I think him and DaVanna are hiding something. I don't want to assume they doin something yet but I did find some hospital papers in her office." "You were snooping around her office?" he asked. I smirked. "I didnt take anything. Besides, she wasn't telling me anything so I had to do what I had to do." "Bad ass.." he said laughing a little. "I know you like it anyway." "True. Just, come home right after you leave his house okay?" "Alright." "Love you babe." "Love you too." I hung up the phone and also made it to Cj's house. His car was in the driveway and it actually seemed like a normal looking house. I took a deep breath stepping out of the car. I walked to the front porch and knocked on the door. When the door opened, it was Craig and he actually looked happy. I smiled. "Hey. We need to talk." I said.
