CHRESANTO POV

I watched Alana walk to the table, than Ella stare at her with a dirty look. I don't blame her though, who wears that shit to a dinner? And unless it's Gabriella, no woman comes in here dressed like that. It's just ratchet... "Wow, it all looks so good." Alana said smiling at the food. I sat down beside Alana and watched Gabriella walk over to the table with her arms crossed. I pointed to the seat that was across from so she'd sit down directly in front of me. "Who made it?" Alana asked. "I did." Ella said raising her hand. I watched as Alana bit into the well seasoned chicken The look on her face made me laugh. "This is great. You can surely cook!" she said smiling at Ella. Ella smiled to the side. "Thank you. But, we don't eat right away. We eat when everyone has food on their plate and we say our blessings." she said. Alana's smiled faded as she put her fork down and swallowed the rest of the food that was in her mouth. "Sorry." she said as her face turned red. Gabriella shook her head. "It's fine." she said. Me and Gabriella put some food on our plate and said our blessings. This is when I started to notice Ella's emotions and feelings for how she didn't know about Alana. She kept giving her devious looks so that meant she was a little mad. "So, how long have you been working at the bar?" Ella asked her putting some food in her mouth. I wrinkled up my  face looking at her. "Uh, about 1 year now." she said smiling a bit. I kicked Ella in the shin. "Ow!" she yelled. Alana looked  up at her confused. "Ow ... that hurt to swallow?" Gabriella said weirdly. "Yeah, the chicken is a bit dry." Alana said laughing to herself. Gabriella's eyebrow raised as she looked at Alana. "Is it? Or could it just be you? Because if anything, it's seasoned the right way, miss. No one has ever said it was dry." she said. Alana looked up at her. "Maybe I'm just the first to notice. It's okay though. We all do something wrong from time to time." she said smirking. I raised my eyebrows up at her too. Not my woman's cooking! "Anyway." I said trying to move on from something that could turn into something worse. "Will you excuse us for a moment?" Gabriella asked getting up. "Well, why does Chresanto has to g-GCO." Gabriella grabbed my by my ear and pulled me up. "Thank you, and don't question me, please." Ella said dragging me into the hallway. I closed my eyes tightly. "Ow, ow, ow." I said trying to push her hand away. She let go and looked at me. "I don't appreciate that woman coming in my damn house talking about how,  the chicken is a little dry." She said mocking the way Alana said it. I rubbed my ear trying to get some feeling. But a small smile grew across my face. "Sounds like you're a little mad, aye?" I asked her smiling. She looked at me with a blank face. "Well I wasn't before, but now I am. First, she dressed like a slut obviously asking for some attention, and now she's getting sassy. She's lucky I didn't kick her ass for continuing to talk about the food. That back talk is really pissing me off." I wrinkled up my face at her. "Back talk? She doesn't live here, baby. Look, I didn't like how she was talking about your food either. And now we know she has a attitude for some people. But we have sometime. Stay calm please." I said to her. She smirked and crossed her arms. "Whatever. But if she makes me mad again, I'm done." she said walking back into the dining room with a fake smile on her face. I sighed in relief and followed. I sat back down next to Alana and looked at Gabriella. "So, tell me about yourself." she said to Alana. For the rest of the night, things seemed to be going pretty well. Although, Ella was a bit jealous every time me and Alana would share a laugh or something. Other than that, I found out my wife's emotions and the bartender has no interest in me as far as I know so everything is good. I cleared the table while Alana and Ella were laughing with each other in the living room for reasons I don't know. I smirked looking at the two of them. I was really hoping they wouldn't get along. I didn't want them to become like this and I don't know why I didn't but I know I didn't. I put the plates and other dishes in the sink and wiped the table off. "Hey. Baby, we might have to run to the store again. There isn't anymore paper towels." I said looking over at Ella. "Uh, Chresanto there's some right next to you." she said laughing at me. I turned around and there actually was some paper towels next to me. I picked them up and dropped them in the dirty dish water in the sink. "Not anymore." I said shrugging my shoulders with a smirk on my face. She looked at me for a moment and Alana chuckled while gasping. "Did you really just ....Whatever Chresanto." She said getting up along with Alana. "Yeah, I better be going anyway. It's nearly 10." Alana said putting her shoes back on. "Well it was nice having you here. Hopefully you can join us for another dinner sometime." Gabriella said smiling. I rolled my eyes and turned around picking the paper towels from out the sink. "Hopefully you could join us for another dinner." I mocked changing my voice level. I don't know why it was bothering me so much that they were becoming friends but it was. And I didn't even realize it was going to be a problem till now. I wiped my hands off and put my shoes on too walking towards the door where the women were standing. "Hey Chris!" I yelled. Within seconds, all 4 of my kids came running down the stairs. "Sup?" he said. "Oh my goodness! Are these your kids?!" Alana asked walking up to him. I laughed while smiling. "Yeah. Beautiful little children. I had with my wife. Gabriella August. Standing right beside you, these kids are hers too!" I said. They both looked at me weirdly but I shook it off. "I only called for Chris, why'd you all come down?" I asked them all. "Well, Chris told me to come too." Christina said pointing to him. "Yeah, I told you but I didn't tell them to come." Chris said pointing at Trey and Crystal. "Uh, them have a name. And them are you brother and sister too." Ella said giving him a serious look. "Okay fine. Crystal and Trey followed." he said rolling his eyes. "What the? Did you really just roll your eyes Chris?" I asked. He looked at me like he didn't know what to say. "That's your mom. Don't you disrespect her like that boy. You hear me?" I asked giving him the serious look now. He nodded his head without saying anything. "Uh. I didn't hear anything..." I said putting my hand to my ear. "Yes sir." he said in a low tone. I nodded my head. "That's what I thought." Alana chuckled. "Wow Chresanto. You sure do know how to handle your kids." she said. "Learned from the best." I said smiling. "Who are you lady?" Trey said. Alana kneeled down to his height. "I'm a friend of your dad and mom." she said smiling.  He simply nodded his head. "And this must be the baby. She's so cute." Alana said trying to look at Crystal who was hiding behind both, Chris and Chrissy. I smiled. "What's their names?" she asked us. "Christopher, Christina, Crystal and Trey." Ella said. "You guys have beautiful kids." she said smiling. We do ...

GABRIELLA POV

I don't know what's Chresanto's problem. All those times when he didn't approve of me being mad about his female friends... The time I finally don't he's pissed about it. Can someone tell me what I did wrong because I don't know. And the fact that he purposely dropped the towels in the water made me mad and I probably would have kicked his ass if we didn't have any company. But sadly we do, so I had to stay calm about it. After a minute of talking, Chres told Chris to watch over his siblings while we stepped out for a minute. Alana left when we left so we said our goodbyes. And speaking of Alana, she isn't as bad as I was expecting her to be. She didn't even seemed interested in Chresanto as I thought she'd be. But you never know. Every woman has another side to them. I don't like that side but when I see it, the word "bitch" falls out my mouth. I don't know yet though. The night with her was nice though. She even gave me her number to stay in touch. I'll stick around with her to find out if she really does have any other sides, and if she does, she gotta go. But anyway, we pulled up to the store after a car ride of silence and got out. I decided to bring up the paper towel thing now. "Why'd you throw the paper towels in the sink Chres?" I asked him checking different aisles to find a specific brand. "I wanted her to leave." he said shrugging his shoulders. I grabbed his arm to stop him from walking, and so he'd also look at me. "Why." I asked looking at him. "I don't know. I just got tired of the bonding." he said. "I'm confused. I thought you wanted us to get along." I said crossing my arms. "I did at first but now I don't. I just don't trust anyone anymore. I don't have time for the drama and the chaos like we had to deal with when Nautica and Ariana wouldn't get off my back. I'm fed up with that shit and I thought you'd be too, baby." I looked at him for a moment than sighed. "I am, Chresanto. But this girl seemed different. Its like she knows you're taken and can accept that. No one else could probably because you had history with them. I mean, I have history with you more than anyone does." I said. "So now you're defending them? Gabriella, you had to whoop their ass because of that shit. Nautica put a gun to your head and Ariana fucked me but now you're defending them. You don't make sense for nothing." he said. My eyes started watering. "And you would be the one to bring it back up. But sorry nigga. Your facts aren't right. You fucked and Ariana behind my back. And no I'm not defending them, thank you very much." I said wiping the tears falling down my cheeks. He put his hands up walking away. "I don't have time to talk about this with you, especially in the store. Wait. How'd we even get on this conversation? I thought we were talking about paper towels." he said walking out of the aisle. I sighed wiping my face off and sniffling a little. How did we end up talking about this? I took a deep breath when I turned around to a man looking at me. And, I knew that man from anywhere. Other than the fact he was older now, but the memories he gave me led me to a point I'd recognize his blood shot eyes from anywhere. I turned back around quickly hoping he wouldn't recognize me. I've changed a lot about my appearance over the years too. "Please don't see me." I said repeatedly with my eyes closed tightly, and my heart beating quickly. God I wish Chresanto didn't walk away. When I felt a touch my shoulder, I left my comfort zone. "Gabriella Segura." I heard the man say. "It's August. Gabriella August." I said jerking away from him. He smiled to the side putting his hands up. "I mean no harm, August. And you're married now, aye? To the same guy you dated. Well that's unfortunate." he said. I turned around and looked at him. "It's really not. And what do you mean you mean no harm? Do you not remember what you did to me?" I asked trying to hold my tears back. It was kind of hard to though considering I just got through crying. "I couldn't help the fact your body was calling me. And believe me I know it was bad. And trust me, yo dude told me physically with a bat. But I've learned and I've changed." he said. "If you learned, you wouldn't be talking to me right now, Grant. I'll call my husband over here right now to show you again." I said. He chuckled. "Call him over. I don't see why you would though when he just made you cry. I don't eavesdrop a lot but your conversation with him was quite interesting." he said. "You get used to it when you've been through what I went though. Chresanto!" I yelled looking at him. He smirked and crossed his arms. I waited for Chresanto to come back up the aisle and when he did, he still seemed mad about what happened minutes ago. "What Gabriella?" he asked walking up to me. "Lucky woman." Grant said. "Who's this?" Chresanto asked. I closed my eyes. "Grant." I said. Chresanto sat there trying to remember if he knew the name. I watched his facial expression change and he jumped at Grant ready to punch him but I grabbed his arm. "He said he changed." I said looking at him. He wrinkled up his face at me. "Changed! I don't give a fuck if this bitch changed or not, baby. He raped you. Nobodies getting away with that!" he said a little loudly. "Maybe we should let go of the past." Grant said. "Nah I don't think so, sir. You raped my wife not knowing what the hell she's been through. I don't let go that easily."
