CHRESANTO POV
"I don't know what it is and shopping with you, but you seem to have a problem." I said looking down at my wife. She smirked. "I don't have a problem., thank you. You're only mad because you don't shop like me." she said smiling, and throwing some other stuff into the cart. "I don't want to shop like you either! It takes too long, and you get easily distracted. Learn how to block things out." I said a little smartly. She turned around and looked at me, making a face I can't describe. "You better lower your tone Chres." she said. I looked back at her. "And if I don't ..." I crossed my arms and she walked up to me. "I'm afraid to say. It might turn into another one of your little competitions or something. And I don't have time for that. You're too competitive sometimes." she threw something else into the cart and walked down the aisle. I followed. "What's wrong with that? I mean, I should be able to have a little fun. I'm not getting any younger!" I yelled at her. I watched as she paid me no attention. Just kept reading the labels and other things on the paper towels shelf. "Oh, looks like someone is getting a little defensive." she said laughing a little. "I'm not getting defensive." I said pointing at myself. She shrugged her shoulders throwing the paper towels into the cart. "Look. I never said you couldn't be competitive and I never said it was a problem. But you're too competitive. Oh, and I never said you couldn't have fun every now and then either. Just calm down a bit for me, okay?" she asked. I didn't answer her, because to me, nothing she was saying was true. I'm never to competitive, nor am I the problem when it comes to competitions. But just to let the woman win the conversation, I have no choice but to agree with the statement I don't agree with! "Sure, baby. I'll do it for you!" I said smiling. She smiled back. "I love how you're so understanding." she said. I sighed. "Most of the time." I said looking down. "Can you go find me the bread?" she asked. I nodded my head, and went into a different aisle when I saw someone oddly familiar. "The woman bartender." I said smiling and walking up to her. When she saw me, she smiled pretty quickly. "Chresanto! I remember you. How could I forget? You haven't gave me a call or nothing." Alana said. I smirked. "It can go the same way with you. You give me a call first." I said smiling. She laughed. "A call first?" someone repeated. I turned around and Ella was standing there. My heart started racing when I realized, I never told her about meeting Alana. Nor did I tell her she gave me her number. "Oh uh, baby, this is Alana. I met her at the bar last weekend. Alana, this is my wi--GCO." "Wife! He told me a lot about you, miss. You're even prettier in person." Alana said smiling extra hard. Ella gave her a dirty look. I slapped her ass, but made it unnoticeable. She jumped a little, and smiled when she understood why I did that. "Yes, I'm the wife. Nice to meet you." Ella said holding out her hand. Alana shook it and they both smiled. So far so good, right? "Well this was nice. See you around Ally." I said grabbing Ella's hand and trying to drag her away, but she pulled me back. "Oh that's funny. Knew each other for a week and already have nicknames. What else don't I know yet?" Gabriella asked laughing. I don't find anything funny though. She's doing this on purpose. "Nothing else really. Lets just go now, babe." I said pouting. She shook her head. "Why Chresanto? I just met the woman my husband hasn't told me about yet? I think I deserve to get to know her a little more. How about you come over for dinner?" Ella asked. I gasped. She's really trying me now. "Well, if you don't mind." Alana said smiling a little. "We don't. Do you need the address or do you already have it?" she asked smartly. "I'll need it." Alana said. Gabriella nodded her head, pulled out a little piece of paper and pen out her purse, wrote our address down and handed it to her. "Thank you. I'll see you guys tonight then." she said walking away. Gabriella nodded her head smiling. "It was nice meeting you." Ella said. "You too." with that being said, she disappeared. I checked to see if anyone was in our aisle, which no one was so I took it upon myself. "What the hell is wrong with you, Gabriella?!" I yelled looking down at her. "What do you mean Chresanto? I invited the girl over for dinner. So what." she said looking up at me. I laughed. "Right. Everything's great. You think I was buying your little attitude and game you just played?" I asked her. "It wasn't a game. I was being serious. You met her at the bar, aye?" "Yeah, she's the bartender. It's not that serious though. I'm not attracted to her." I said expecting her to go against with what I said. "I don't know why you're getting so mad. I didn't even say you were. Besides, I'm not giving you any clues as to how I feel about the perky female my husband knew, but didn't tell me about. Good luck finding out." I watched her walk away. "I don't understand. Aren't you mad?" I asked running up to her. She shrugged her shoulders. I could be, but who cares. You will have to find out yourself." With that being said, she walked out of the aisle and into the next. Maybe she's finally starting to take what I've been saying under consideration. And maybe, just maybe, she's starting to realize I'm a grown man and don't take orders from anyone. Especially someone who's a few months younger than me. And yes, that's Gabriella. "Chresanto, we're leaving now. On to the next store. Lets go." she said poking her head in the aisle. I nodded my head and walked away. After this store, we went to Walmart because she wanted to make a good impression for our "guest" tonight. I still don't understand why she would even invite Ally. I know she's mad about me not telling her though. Tellin me to find out for myself. I need to put that woman in check, fast.
GABRIELLA POV
Of course, I'm somewhat mad about Chres not telling me about this, Ally but I'm okay. I mean, I know about her now and she seems to not be interested in him anyway. We'll find out tonight though. I'm showing him no mercy. He does seem to be trying to figure it out, I can tell. I walked into the house and started setting up things, and cleaning. I turned around and looked at Chresanto. He was just staring at me with his hand on his chin. "Why are you looking at me, babe?" I asked him. "Just thinking." he said. I watched as his eyebrows went up. "Well what are you thinking about?" I asked him. "Your emotions and feelings. I'm not getting anything though. I mean, I'm supposed to know this shit. I'm suppose to know your moods by heart. Right about now, you should be pretty mad at me." he said. I sighed and put the cleaning supplies down. "I know I used to be mad a lot in these types of situations, but I'm pretty annoyed now, since you expect me to be mad. Aren't you glad I'm not mad?" He thought for a minute. "Yes, but it's unusual." he said. I rolled my eyes, and went into the kitchen to cook something for dinner. I don't have time for Chresanto right now. You'd think he'd be happy I'm not mad, but sounds like he's mad because I'm not mad. I set the table up and placed the cooked food on the table. I lit some candles, and even got myself together. I put on something decent, but not fancy. As soon as I went back downstairs the doorbell rang. I walked up to the door and looked back at Chresanto. He was leaning on the chair staring at the food on the table. But when I looked at him he looked at me. "Try to make a good impression." I said unlocking the door. He smirked. "You should be the one. I should be the one telling you to be good." he said. I rolled my eyes and opened the door. I saw Alana wearing the shortest dress ever, her hair was straightened and in a ponytail, and her heels were extremely high showing off her calves. "Well that's not something you would wear to a dinner at my house." I said laughing a little. That's when I felt Chresanto elbow me in the arm. I turned around and looked at him quickly. "It's not!" I said in a low tone. "Sorry. I just didn't know what to wear. I really want to impress you." she said pouting a little. "Well, I have children here so that is inappropriate. Especially if you don't wear that to work. But since we just met, what the heck?" I said smiling at her. "Good luck impressing her though." Chresanto said walking away. I smirked and Alana walked in without even being asked to come in. So far, I'm not impressed. But we have some time. I'd like to see how well known this woman is to my husband. It'll determine if she'll ever be around this family again. Not sure about Chres though. He might go back to the bar to see her or something. I don't know though.
TO BE CONTINUED...
I will be changing the way I write my stories soon. Right after I get all, 143 parts re-written. Haha, sounds like fun! Oh and, I've been having trouble updating my books so don't expect a new chapter every morning like I used to do. I'm sure you already caught on by how long it took to update this short chaptter, due to school.
