Lost and Hunted

Kai woke up, and realized that he had stayed the night. Somehow, despite the sad things that had happened, he was happy. He was sitting on the chair next to Savanna. She stirred beside him. He patted her shoulder.
"Get some more sleep, we stayed up a bit late" instead of nodding back off, Savanna screamed. At him. Kai screamed, too. But why? They stayed there staring at each other and screaming. Then Savanna stopped. Kai stopped, too. She was looking him like was crazy. Maybe he was. I mean in the past 12 hours, he had killed a man, and had fell in love with a girl he barely knew. Was there such thing as love at first site?

Savanna stared at Kai. The same boy who had killed her best friend. He may have saved her life, but that didn't mean she had to forgive him. Much less like him. Right she didn't want to see his face. Like ever. Ever. Ever. Ever. And if she could help it, she wouldn't have to.

Kai was mad. He had saved her life, and this was how she relayed him. This. He brushed past her to get out of the room. Because apparently he wasn't welcome here. He felt a tingling sensation as humans Savannas shoulders touched. Wow, he had really lost it. You could even say he had the Icy a Purge.

Savanna was left in the room alone now. She curled up into a ball. Henry had died. Her Henry. She let her emotions take over, and cried for what seemed like eons. Or at least hours. She saw Kai look through the door, and turned to face the wall. She wouldn't let him see her this way. She glared at him though, before she did so. He waved at her and grinned. That made her glare more. Why did he have to be so nice? Right then she didn't care. She felt like dying. Maybe it would take the pain away. But than she thought of how many people counted on her. She had so many ideas. But first thing first, she had to forgive Kai.
She found him in the main room. He was eating, maybe even stress eating. She walked, with her head held high, to Kai.
"I am sorry for acting not like myself, like, like......" She trailed off, hoping he got what she had meant. What exactly had she meant? He nodded, apparently getting the jist of it. Apparently she was "forgiven". Good. Now next step: find a cure.
