Chapter 7

*Nicole's mom POV*
"Hun can you come here" I call to my husband
"Yeah" he asks
He sits down next to me on the couch and I face him.
"I feel bad for Nicole losing her friends. I know she's not losing them but they'll be so far. Do you think you'd be able to transfer. We won't tell Nicole that we moved but I will call Megan and ask to talk to the guys and let them know so she doesn't come back here. We will surprise her" I say
"What about your job" he asks
"I can find a job as a teacher anywhere. I'm pretty sure they would transfer you to the NCIS office near Nashville" I say
"I'll ask my boss then let you know. Did you talk to Brian or Jessica yet" he asks
"Well Brian is graduating soon and I know Jessica also likes the band so I'm sure she won't mind moving and getting the chance to meet them." I say
"Alright I'll call my boss tonight." He says
He walks off and Jessica runs down the stairs.
"Did I hear something about anthem lights" she asks
"No. I said that we were going to call Megan and see if we can talk with one I the guys to see how things are going there. I never said the word anthem lights" I say
"Mom can I talk to them" she asks
"I'll think about it" I say
She goes back upstairs and I hear the from door open and close.
"Mom I got a letter to Ohio" Brian says
"Did you open it" I ask
"No. I wanted to do it with the whole family since this is the school I want to go to" he says
"Ok well we can call Nicole later on and you can open it then" I say
He agrees then goes upstairs just as my husband walks in the room.
"My boss said I could transfer. They will be expecting me in three days. I took extra time and already found a house and bought it then already put our house on the market. We just have to pack up load a moving truck and go to Nashville" he says
"Great. Well I'll deal with the Nashville folks tomorrow then we'll tell the other two. Now Brian wanted to call Nicole so he could open his letter from Ohio" I say
*Nicole POV*
Everyone is over at the Graham's right now fooling around. My phone rings. I'm about to grab it when Joey grabs it and puts it on speaker.
Jo-hello this is Joseph Stamper from Anthem Lights. I'm the secretary for miss Allison Nicole Jones. She isn't in her office at the moment. May I ask who's calling.
Je- Joey Stamper from Anthem Lights. I love you. Oh my gosh did I just say that out loud. I'm Jessica. Nicole's little sister. I'm 11
AJ-you're only 3 years older than me
N-what do you all need
Bri-hey sis I got a letter from Ohio state
Jo-Ohio state I went there!
N-Joey give me my phone and turn it off speaker
Jo-ok miss Allison is back from her lunch break. She will be on the phone in a few minutes. Bye Jessica. Your sister has said so much about you. She says you're a brat and really annoying but says that Brian her older brother is awesome.
I take the phone from him and glare at him. I turn it off speaker and walk outside.
N-hey guys. Sorry about Joey. He's a pain in my butt
J-he's cute
N-whatever you say Jess
B-hello can I open my letter
J-ooh Brian can I read it
B-no you are not going to be like the three girls and hold it up to the light and read all my letters
N-woah we do not do that
M-yes you do sweetheart
N-mother how can you betray your own daughter and favorite kids who are not blood related children
D-ok guys that's enough Brian just open your letter
I hear the envelope open and gasps.
N-hello what does it say
B-oh right I got accepted. And it's possible for me to get a scholarship for music
N-that's amazing. Congrats. Well I have to go but I'll talk to you guys later. Love you
I hang up and go inside.
"Joseph Patrick Stamper" I say
"Ooh you're in trouble" Chad says
"Chadwick" I warn
"What" Joey asks
"Follow me" I say
He follows me upstairs to the room I'm staying in.
"What was that all about" I ask
"I wanted to have fun. It was getting boring" he says
"Oh well my brother got accepted to Ohio" I say
"Awesome. What for" he asks
"Music. He plays a lot of instruments. More then you" I say
"Which ones can he play" he asks
"Clarinet, tenor sax, accordion, guitar, piano, violin, drums, organ, French horn, flute, and he sings" I say
"Dang that a lot" he says
"Yep." I say
We go back downstairs and Joey heads to the kitchen. I see Chad standing with his back to me so I run and jump on his back.
"Megan get off my back" he whines
"Chad I'm right in front of you" Megan says
"Nicole seriously what's with you two jumping on my back" he asks
"Because we feel like it" I say
"Lets do a house swap" Casey says
"Yessss" I shout
"Ow Nicole my ear" Chad says
"Sorry" I say
"What are you three planning to do" Alan asks
"A house swap" I say
"Casey will sleep at Chad's, Nicole will sleep at Caleb's, and I'll sleep at Alan's for the night" Megan says
"Yeah Megan is sleeping over" AJ cheers
Megan hops on Joey's back and Casey hops on Caleb's.
"You three have a serious problem with walking" Chad says
"No we don't. I'm just use to always being on Megan's back" Casey says
"Daddy I want a piggy back ride" AJ says
"No me" Presley says
"No I want a ride" Rowe says
Megan hops off Joey's back and puts Rowe on her shoulders. Presley gets on Joey's back and Alan puts AJ on his shoulders.
"Ok what are we doing for dinner" Fallon asks
"Well I need to get Jason home. Are you ready to leave Tyler" Joey asks
"Yeah bye Luke" Tyler says
"Bye Ty" us girls say
"Bye sissies" he says
They leave and I hop off Chad's back.
*Megan POV*
"Ok well I'm ready to leave. Coming Nicole and Luke" Caleb says
"Yep" she says
"Sure" Luke says
They leave and it's just the 8 of us left.
"Uncle Chaddy can I go on your shoulders" Presley asks
He picks her up and sets her on his shoulders.
I set Rowe on the ground and she runs off to find Brycie. Casey hops on my back and holds on.
"Seriously" I ask
"Yep" she says
"Alright Alan. Rowe is getting tired. We should get going" Brycie says
"Bye Casey" I say
"Bye Megan" she says
We wipe our fake tears away.
"You'll see each other tomorrow" Alan says
"No we won't" we say
"Your the love of my life won't you just marry me so they can't separate us" I ask
"Of course. We shall be wed by noon" she says
We hug and I don't let go until I'm picked up and ripped out of her grip. I'm taken out side and set in the van. I look up and see Chad.
"Chadwick. How dare you separate me from my wife" I say
"Sorry Megs but you gots to go" he says
"I gots to" I say
"Yes my dear. Wait if you two are married what about Nicole" he asks
"She's like Joey and does a lot of the third wheeler things. Except ours isn't awkward unlike Joey Caleb and Kelsey" I say
"I'll give you that much. Joey makes a lot of things awkward" Chad says
"Alright Chadwick. Thank you for bringing Megan to the van but we have to go so scram" Alan says
Chad walks back inside his house and I get in the back next to AJ. Alan starts the van and drives to his house.
"Wait Megan did you bring clothes" Alan asks
"Yeah. We sort of already discussed this over the phones so each of us girls packed our backpacks" I say
"Alright" he says
We get to the Powell's and go inside.
"Megan I'll show you to where Casey sleeps" AJ says
I follow her upstairs and to a room. I go in and the room is a mess. I place my backpack down and take a picture then send it to Casey.
M-what's with the mess
C-it didn't feel like home
M-I'm going to clean it because the mess bothers me
C-no
M-ok fine
I'm about to put my phone away when it rings. I see that it's Nicole's mom.
M-Hi Mrs. Jones
MJ-Hi Megan. Are you with any of the guys from Anthem Lights
M-yeah I'm with Alan what do you need
MJ-can I talk to him
M-sure
*Alan POV*
Megan comes downstairs and hands me her phone. I give her a strange look but she just walks off to my kids.
A-hello who's this
B-hi I'm Beth, Nicole's mom
A-well I'm Alan Powell. How may I be of service
B-my husband and I talked and are planning on moving out here with our two kids and Nicole. We just don't want to Nicole to find out. Do you mind just making sure she doesn't get on the plane in four days
A-of course. It was very kind of you to move out here just so Nicole could be with her friends still
B-that was part of it and my other daughter Jessica is in love with Joey
J-no I'm not
A-haha well I'll make sure that Jessica gets the chance to meet Joey
J-no Alan don't do it
A-can you put Jessica on the phone
B-sure
I hear some muffled talking for a bit.
J-hi
A-hi Jess it's Alan Powell
J-oh my gosh. Can you really let me see Joey at some point
A-maybe
J-thank you thank you thank you
A-no problem
I hear more talking then Beth comes back on.
B-Alan can you please not tell Casey. She'll spoil it
A-of course and I won't tell the guys wait her because they're going to let something slide
B-ok well I gotta run by
I hang up and go to look for Megan. I find her in the kitchen and sit across from her.
"Here" I say
I give her he phone and she puts it in her pocket.
"What was Nicole's mom calling about" she asks
"If I tell you you can't tell anyone else. Especially Nicole" I say
"Ok" she promises
"Nicole is moving out here to Nashville. Her dad was able to get transferred. Her mom jut wanted to make sure Nicole didn't get on a plane." I say
"Wait Alan I have a way to surprise her" Megan says
"Ok lets hear it" I say
She tells me her plan and I think for a little bit.
"Alright. This will work. But we can't tell the guys or Casey or anyone about it. It has to be a surprise for everyone. You will need to get the address for the house an then give it to me." I say
"Ok" she says
"Where are my girls at" I ask
"Brycie gave them dinner and they went upstairs. Brycie said she was also going to sleep." She says
"Ok. Do you want dinner" I ask
"Sure" she says
I'm about to say something when my phone buzzes.
Ch-going to ihop with Casey anyone want to join
Ca-Nope we're playing Mario kart and watching movies
J-busy
A-sure why not. Megan and I will be there soon
Ch-Casey just screamed in my ear
A-they all seem to do it a lot
I put my phone away and stand up.
"Lets go we're joining Chad and your wife at Ihop" I say
*Megan POV*
We get in Alan's car an he drives to Ihop. We go inside and I instantly spot the other two. We go over and sit down.
"Snuggles" I say
"Fruitcake" Casey says
"Big Al" Chad says
"Graham Cracker" Alan says
"Ok something seems a little suspicious" Chad says
"Yeah spill it" Casey says
"What Nothing seems suspicious" I say
"Alan" Chad says
"Ok you got us. Megan was going to sing for me since she won't do it in front of anyone else" Alan says
"Wait Megan I didn't know you sing" Chad says
"Well none of you guys did but then Alan over heard me singing a little bit" I say
"Wait Megan I have a recording of you singing" Casey says
"No. How did you" I ask
"Well you know how you have that recording booth in your basement and we were standing there. I got a little bit of it recorded" she says
"Ooh I want to hear" Chad says
"Noooo" I say
"Why not" Chad whines
"Maybe another day" I say
"Aww noo now" Casey says
We order our food and continue our argument.
"Come on after dinner we'll go to the studio and you can sing for me" Chad says
"Why do you want to hear me sing" I ask
"Megan I'm a voice teacher. I like listening to people sing" he says
"Ok fine" I say
Our food comes and we eat. We finish eating and the two guys start fighting over who's paying.
"Alan just let me pay" Chad whines
"No" Alan says
"Alan let Chadwick pay. He never offers to do anything" Casey says
"Actually Chad offers to do a lot but it usually ends with Joey in a headlock" Alan says
"Well Joey isn't here right now to be placed in a headlock" I say
"That's why I should pay" Alan says
"But I bet the reason Joey gets in a headlock is because he says something to Chad" Casey says
"Ok we can leave" Chad says
"What I was going to pay" Alan says
"Nice work girls" Chad says
"How dare you two be on Chad's side" Alan says
"Come on Powell man up. We have to go to the studio to hear Megan sing" Casey says
"Fine" he mumbles
We go to the vehicles and get in. Chad follows behind Alan.
"This is all your fault Alan" I say
"How is it mine? I would like to hear you sing" he says
"Because if you didn't keep glaring at me they wouldn't have thought anything was wrong" I say
We get to the studio and go inside. Caleb, Nicole, Luke, and Joey are there. Chad and Casey comes in and I walk over to Chad.
"Chad I would run" Luke says
"Come on Luke I'm not that scary" I say
"Chadwick did you tell them that I was singing" I growl
"Megan chill I got butt dialed and then called Joey. Tyler I watching Jason" Caleb says
"But did Luke really have to come" I ask
"He stole my keys" Caleb says
"Come on Megan I've heard you sing before" Luke says
"Lets go Megan I want to hear you sing" Chad says
"On one condition" I say
"What" he asks
"After I sing Casey and Nicole have to both sing" I say
"No" Casey says
"Yes" Chad says
"Why" Nicole whines
"Please" Chad begs
"Fine" they say
I go into the booth and sing 'fight forever'. Once I'm done Casey goes in and digs the same thing. Then Nicole.
"You girls are good" Chad says
"Really good" Joey says
"You three would probably sound really good together" Caleb says
"Ok you three back in the recording booth" Alan says
"What" we ask
"Go" Alan says
We go in and put headphones on. We hear music and instantly recognize the song as 'Just Fall'. We sing the song and when we're done we step out and join the guys.
"That was awesome" Chad says
"Good job sissies" Luke says
"Thanks Lukey" we say
"You three should sing more" Joey says
"I agree" Alan says
"Nicole is a soprano, Casey is a metzo soprano, and I'm an alto. We've sung together before just never wanted to record it" I say
"Actually I've recorded it but you're the only one who knows how to edit videos and I knew you wouldn't want to post it" Casey says
"You should edit it then post all your videos on YouTube" Caleb says
"Oh that also brings me to a question for Megan" Alan says
"What" I ask
"Wait guys should we ask her" Alan asks
"Nah" Chad says
"We should wait" Joey says
"Hold up I don't care if you wait to tell Megan but Nicole and I want to know" Casey says
"Yeah I want to know" Nicole says
"Hello so do I" Luke says
They start arguing over this and I walk over to Caleb who's just watching what's going on.
"What are you thinking about" I ask
"How interesting it's going to be with Casey living with Joe and you not being to far away. Days should get very interesting" he says
"Yeah and then Chad said he'll homeschool me and that someone will watch my little siblings so that will be even crazier. I just wish Nicole was able to move out here too" I say
"Yeah that would be cool" Caleb says
"Ok you two ready" Alan says
"Wait did you already ask them the question" I say
"Yeah. I'll ask you when we get back to my house" Alan says
"Ok" I say
"See ya" Joey says
"Bye Joe" we all say
"We should get going" Caleb says
"Why" Nicole asks
"Luke is asleep on the couch" Caleb says
Us three girls walk over to him and slap him.
"Ow was that really necessary" Luke asks
"Yes it was bro. Now scram" I say
"Fine lets go since my sister clearly doesn't want me here" Luke says
"I give him a mean glare and he runs out the door. I go to run but someone pulls me back.
"Bye Caleb and Nicole" Chad says
"Bye. Tell my brother bye and that I love him dearly" I say
"Will do" Nicole says
They leave and Chad lets go of me.
"Lets go Alan. Clearly they don't accept me as a person who likes to beat her siblings up" I say
"Well then miss sass queen" Alan says
"Bye Fruit cake I love you" Casey says
"Yeah yeah who wouldn't. I love you too snuggles" I say
"Ok sass queens we should leave" Chad says
"Let's go" Alan says
We leave the studio and get in the vehicles. Alan drives to his house then we go inside.
"So Megan how would you like to be in charge of editing videos and deal with all our technology related things for the band" he asks
"Really" I ask
"You have a great talent" he says
"Sure" I say
"Fantastic now go to sleep. We have a busy few days ahead of us" he says
I go upstairs and get changed into my pjs. I climb into bed and slowly fall asleep.

I'm sorry that all my updates are slow. I've been very busy with school and haven't been able to. I've also been really stressed with biology and Geometry class so I usually have to clear my mind in some sort but then my mind wanders so I'm not on here long.
I've also been struggling with seeing my real worth and understanding that I'm not alone in my problems. I've been having trouble with telling my friend and letting her help. Just pray for me please. Pray for wisdom and strength. Thank you for reading my books.
