Chapter 31

(2 days later Friday)
*Megan POV*
I wake up around 8 and go downstairs. I get down there and Chad is in the living room. I go and sit down next to him on the couch.
"Hey Megan" he says
"Chad we should go to lunch can now that the whole anthem family is together" I say
"The guys and I were actually just talking about that. We're planning on going to the pizza place" he says
"Yeah" I say
"Oh your older brothers want to take you and your younger brothers out for dinner tonight" he says
"Ok. Where are my younger brothers" I ask
"Fallon took them shopping with her" he says
"Oh ok" I say
I grab the remote and turn the tv on. Chad puts his laptop away and steals the remote from me.
"Chad give me that" I yell
"Never" he says
I stand on the couch and get on his shoulders he gets me off and I jump on him. All of a sudden we hear a whistle and sit up.
"Yo cut it out" Joey says
"Joseph don't tell me what to do" I say
Before I can run after Joey Chad grabs me.
"No" Chad says
"Haha" Joey says
As soon as Joey says that Spencer runs in and tackles Joey to the floor. Jason goes and sits on Joey. Fallon walks in with my little brothers and they go sit on Joey as well.
"Haha" I say
A few minutes later the Grimm's, powells, and my brothers show up.
"Megan you need to go get dressed" Chad says
"Ugh why" I whine
"Because you are not going out in your pjs" Chad says
Jewel, Casey, and Nicole get up and drag me upstairs. I sit on my bed and the start going through my drawers and closet. All of a sudden clothes are thrown at me. I go into the bathroom and change then go back to my room. Casey and Nicole hand me socks and shoes while jewel works on my hair.
"Jewel what are you doing to my hair" I ask
"You'll see" she says
A few minutes later she finishes. I look in the mirror and see she did a fancy braid. We go downstairs and join the others.
"Woah you girls actually got Megan to wear something other then shorts or sweatpants" Joey says
"Zip it Joseph. You've already made it to the top of my dead list" I say
"Meggy no killing my daddy" Jason says
"Don't worry Jason I won't kill him. I might just tackle him. Do you want to help" I ask
"Yes" Jason help
"I want to help" AJ says
"Me too" Presley and Rowe agree
"Nicky and Owen help" Nick says
"I'll help" Casey says
"Count me in" Nicole and Jess say
"Ok ok no tackling Joey today. Let's go out to the vehicles. Doesn't matter which one just go to one" Alan says
I get up, grab Casey's and Nicole's hands and run out the door.
"Which car" I ask
"Liam" they say
We go to his car and get in the back. Liam gets in the driver seat and Luke gets I. The passenger seat. Dylan comes over to us and we squeeze him in the back with us girls.
"Everybody ready" Liam asks
"Yep" I say
He starts the car and drives off. We get to the pizza place and go in.
"Hello miss Suzy" I say
"Hello kids how many" she asks
"Um 26" Luke says
"Wow the whole crew" she says
"Yeah. We finally have the whole anthem family together" Nicole says
"Well we don't have a table for 25 so do you guys mind helping me push some tables together" miss Suzy asks
"Not at all. Also we need 3 booster seats and 1 high chair" Casey says
"Ok" miss Suzy says
We go to an area and start punching tables together. By the time the others are here we finish. At the table it goes: Chad, Fallon, Owen, Nick, Jason, Joey, Jewel, Tyler, Hope, Brian, Faith, Spencer, Caleb, Kelsey, Rowe, Brycie, Presley, Alan, AJ, Jess, Nicole, Luke, Casey, Liam, me, Dylan.
"Ok what pizzas would you guys like" miss Suzy asks
"Uh one cheeseless, two meat lovers, one Hawaiian, two cheese, and one pepperoni, one sausage, and one bacon" Chad says
"Alright I'll be back shortly to take drink orders" miss Suzy says
"Guys do you realize there's like only two tables left" Tyler says
"Oops" Joey says
Miss Suzy comes back and before she can speak Chad starts talking again.
"Alright 10 comes, 5 sprites, 3 root beers, 2 waters, and 5 orange crush" he says
"Alright" she says
"Chad how do you remember this" I ask
"I don't know. I mean this is the only pizza place we come too" he says
"True" I say
"Alright guys story telling time" Alan says
"No I hate this part of the meals" Joey whines
"Why because they're all about you" Jewel teases
"They're also really embarrassing most of the time" Joey says
"Ok I have one about My sister" Liam says
"Oh gosh" I say
"Alright let's hear it" Luke says
"So this is while we were on the Pennsylvania road trip" Liam says
"Oh my this story" Casey and Nicole say
"You already told them" I ask
"Yeah" Liam says
"Just tell the story" everyone yells
"Ok so we were on our way to Quakertown and Megan was asleep on the couch with her feet on my lap. Everyone else was off taking a bathroom break. So I was sitting there on my phone when I start to hear mumbling. I look around and realize it's Megan. A couple seconds later she starts talking" Liam says
"What did she say" Kelsey asks
Ok she said and I quote 'Dylan how are we going to tell Chad this? We can't just run away and elope that's crazy. I don't care if it worked for my parents I don't want to be like those people. They are rude and obnoxious and I just love you so much. Your brown hair, your bluish grayish eyes. Can we just get married. No stop Chad will kill you. Let's go tell him. I don't care if you die I need to live. No no I love you it's just my siblings don't need to lose anymore family' and I actually took a video of this start to finish" Liam says
I bury my face into Dylan's shoulder as everyone laughs. Come on baby girl I think it's cute" Dylan says
"But it's still embarrassing but I do love your eyes and hair" I mumble
"I love you" he says
"I love you too" I say
Ok love birds break it up" Alan says
"Richard Alan Powell that is your nephew you're talking about" Brycie scolds
"Ok no more lovey dovey" Chad says
"What are you jealous that we're more romantic then you" I ask
"How many stars are in the sky? How big is the universe? That's how much I love Fallon" Chad says
"I love you to infinity and beyond" Dylan says
"You're the Tarzan to my Jane" I say
"You're the beauty to my beast" Dylan says
"Aww how cute" Fallon says
"You're the woody to my Jessie" Nicole says
"You're the lady to my tramp" Luke says
"You're the Flynn to my rapunzel" Casey says
"You're the Anna to my kristoff" Liam says
"Aww Disney couples how sweet" Kelsey says
"It's sickening" Jess says
"Oh come on Jess you love us" Casey says
"Sadly I do" she says
"Hurtful" Luke says
"Well Nicole stole my boyfriend" Jess says
"What" Liam asks
"I might've always had a crush on Luke" Jess says
"That's cute" Luke says
"Pizza has arrived" miss Suzy says
The pizzas come out and are placed around on the outside. We grab some and start eating.
"Ok the ladies and I have a story that involve the guys minus Spencer. Sorry spence" Jewel says
"Oh no" Caleb says
"Ok so the guys decided that they wanted to do a Christ mad gift for the fans. Didn't know what. So they thought about it and Joey came up with the fans coming for Christmas thing." Brycie says
"They were then trying to figure out a question the fan has to answer so they watched every single live stream and they would mock themselves. All you would hear from them is random comments about how weird they were and stuff like that." Fallon says
"They decided on the question and then they heard that there was a winner. We got your papers and gave them to the guys and they started looking them over and stuff." Kelsey says
"Well the next day they started arguing over which girl is staying at who's house. The whole day no matter where they were they had competitions. At the office they even had a competition to see who could write the best song in 10 minutes. They then went to pick you up and before they left we told them to let you girls pick" Jewel says
"In my defense Chad and I won most of them" Joey says
"Caleb only won one and that was Mario kart." Alan says
"who wanted which girl" hope asks
"Um Alan wanted Nicole, Caleb wanted Casey, then Chad and Joey were arguing over Megan" Brycie says
"Who won Megan" Faith asks
"Well we were tied so it was down to the song" Joey says
"Mine was a song Joey's was more of a rap" Chad says
"They never decided on a winner. We actually recorded them singing their songs. You guys can judge it" Kelsey says
She pulls her phone out and plays them. Once they're all played we look between the four guys.
I look at Casey and Nicole and give them the signal.
"Spencer" we say
"Victory" Spencer cheers
"How does he win" Alan asks
"Well yesterday he sent us a recording of a song he wrote in like 6 minutes and it was really good. But out of you guys I say Joey wins. I mean his raps are always great especially when most of the time he's just rhyming things with his name." I say
"I agree" Casey and Nicole say
We finish up eating and we put the tables away properly then go up front to pay.
"It was all taken care of" someone says
"Suzy" we all yell
"What" she asks
"You have to stop paying for our meals" Chad says
"Come on why" she asks
"Because. I don't car if this is a family business or not and we're regular customers but we want to pay" Chad says
"I don't pay. My grandfather pays. He enjoys hearing you guys laugh and talk while eating here. He says that's the whole purpose of this restaurant." Suzy says
"Tell your grandfather to come out here" Chad says
We wait a few minutes then Suzy returns with a gentleman.
"Sir we really appreciate you paying for our food all the time but we would like to pay too" Chad says
"And I appreciate it but as long as you all always come back and eat here and have fun as a family meals will be waiting for you and you can all call me pappy." Pappy says
"Alright. Have a good day" Chad sighs in defeat
"Hey Suzy would you like to come hang with us" Jewel asks
"Uh I have to go ask my poppy" she says
"No no I'll tell him you went with the anthem family. You go have fun" pappy says
"Thanks pappy. Bye" Suzy says
We walk out and get in vehicles again.
*Spencer POV*
I get in Joey's car in the passenger seat and Jewel gets in the driver seat. Joey sits in the back with Jason.
"Ok Jewel spill it why did you invite Suzy" Joey asks
"Well Babe if you haven't realized someone here has fallen for her. He has ever since we started going to that pizza place as a group. It's one reason why we always go back. Waiting for the guy to make a move" Jewel says
"I don't like her" I say
"Yeah right. I saw you looking at her. She was looking right back at you too" she says
"Ok ok so maybe I do like her but how do I know if she likes me" I say
"Ask her out" Joey says
"I'll ask her out once you propose to Jewel" I say
"Woah watch it mister I need to wait for a special moment to ask that question. If you don't ask Suzy I'll tell her to ask you out" Joey says
"I'm not asking her" I say
We get to Chad's and we all go inside. Joey goes outside and then the ladies and guys also go out leaving me and Suzy with the little kids.
They come in a couple minutes later and all the girls drag Suzy out of the house.
"Spencer me, you, and Joey are going on a guys night" Chad says
"Why" I ask
"Because I said so let's go" Chad says
We leave and get in Chad's car he starts driving and then stops when we get to a building. We go in and to a table.
*Suzy POV*
"What's going on" I ask
"We're having a girls night" Jewel says
We get to a building and go in. We go to a table and I see that Spencer and the guys are there. I sit down then the guys and girls leave.
"Hey Spencer" I say
"Hey Suzy. How are you" he asks
"I'm good what about you" I ask
"Well let's see here the guys and girls tricked us and now they're paying for the dinner I say pretty good" he jokes
"Oh come on be happier then that" I say
"Oh what a jolly day I best be going on a stroll and not waste this day light" he says in a British accent
"Oh wonderful why don't I join you" I say in a British accent as well
A waiter comes and we order then talk some more. Our food comes and we eat then leave.
"Would you care joining me for an evening stroll through town" Spencer asks
"Not at all kind sir" I say
We start walking at talking about random things till we get to my house.
"I had a lot of fun tonight Spencer" I say
"Me too. Maybe we can do it again sometime" he says
"Of course. Here why don't you give me your number" I say
We switch phones and put our numbers in then get our phones back. I go inside and watch Spencer walk away. I go up to my room and drift off to sleep.
