Chapter 11

*Nick POV*
I wake up and get out of bed. I go over to Megan's room. I open the door and go over to her bed. I climb up and lay down next to her.
"Nicky what are you doing up at 2 in the morning" she asks
"Scary. Mommy and nanny scary. Want Chad. And Fallon. Them not scary" I say
"I know your scared bubba. I am too but I don't want to bother them. How about we get changed then me you and Owen go for a walk" she asks
I nod my head. She gets out of her bed and changes. She picks me up and goes to Owen and my room. She changes me into sweat pants and sweatshirt. She then puts socks and sneakers on my feet. Then she gets Owen ready. When done she picks me up too and grabs the diaper bag. We go downstairs and outside. She puts us in the stroller and starts walking. We get far when we hear a voice.
"Megan What are you doing up"
"Hey Caleb. My brother woke up and was scared. He wanted to go to Chad and Fallon's but I didn't want to bother them so we're just walking around" she says
Caleb puts a sweatshirt on then comes out to us. Meggy starts walking again.
"What are you doing up" she asks
"I was thinking about something and couldn't sleep so I was in the living room watching tv. I looked out the window and saw you" Caleb says
"Ok" I say
"Megan you know you can always go to Chad's. He will always be open to helping you. He cares about you a lot. And your brothers" Caleb says
Brothers. That's right I want to see Lukey. I just start whimpering. Megan comes to the front and picks me up. Caleb grabs hold of the stroller and pushes Owen in it.
"What's wrong Nick" she asks
"Lukey" I say
"I know bubba. I do too" She says
"I want see him" I cry
"Hey it will be ok" she says
"Nooo" I scream
I start hitting her and crying. I then feel someone take me from her arms and place me on the ground. I look up and see Caleb crouched down near me. I stop crying and crawl over to him. He picks me up and stands up.
"I sowwy sissy" I say
"It's okay Nicky. You were just upset" she says
"Why don't we go back to my place? Then you can come to the studio with me for the band meeting" Caleb says
"Chad be there" I ask
"Yes little dude" Caleb says
"Ok. I have to wake Owen up and feed him his bottle anyway" sissy says
"Ok let's go then" Caleb says
We turn around and continue walking. We get to a house and go inside. Kelsey is on the couch watching a movie. I look at the screen and see it's Aladdin. My favorite. I wiggle around in Caleb's arms and he sets me down. I run over to the tv and sit down on the ground.
"He loves Aladdin" I hear Megan say
"Oh hey guys" Kelsey says
"Hihi" I say
"Well hello there Nick. How are you" Kelsey asks
"Good" I yawn "and tired"
"Why don't you come lay down on the couch as you watch the movie. Maybe you'll fall asleep" she says
"Ok" I say
I get up and go to the couch. I lay down and I'm asleep within minutes.
*megan POV*
I go to the kitchen and get the bottle ready. Once it's done I start feeding Owen. Once the bottles done I put it on the counter and go back to the living room.
"Alan is going to be here soon. I told him about you and your brothers being here so he's coming with his van" Caleb says
"Ok" I say
A few minutes later Alan is here. Caleb picks up Nick and we go outside. We get the boys in then I get in the back.
"Hey Megan" Alan says
"Hey" I say
We get to the studio and get out. We go inside and the others are there.
"Hey Chad and Joey" I say
"Oh hey Megan" Joey says
"What are you doing here" Chad asks
"Hello to you to Chadwick" I say
"Fine hello Megan. Now why are you here" Chad asks
"Nick couldn't sleep and was scared so I took my brothers on a walk. We were walking past Caleb's and he saw me. He came out and walked with me. Then brought me to the studio. Plus Nick wanted to see you. He wanted to see you at 2 in the morning but I didn't want to bother you so we went on the walk" I say
"I will always be able to help you no matter what time it is. But thank you for letting me get sleep." Chad says
"Now Caleb why were you up so early" Joey asks
"I was thinking about something and couldn't sleep. So therefore I was watching tv" Caleb says
"Ok" Joey says
"Alright guys we need to start the meeting." Alan says
They go over to the table and I sit down on the couch. I turn the tv on and watch tangled. A few minutes later Nick wakes up and comes over to me.
"Hey Nicky you good" I ask
"Yes. Where are we" he asks
"At the studio. The guys are having a meeting" I say
"Is Chad here" he asks
"Yeah Bubba he's here" I say
He gets off the couch and runs to the guys.
"Megan you hungry? We're heading for lunch" Caleb says
"Not really but I'll come" I say
"And you'll eat something" Chad says
"Why" I whine
"Because I know for a fact that the last time you ate was yesterday at lunch since you didn't get to eat dinner yesterday" Chad says
"Fine. Where are we going" I ask
"Chick fil a" Alan says
"Caleb and I are going to pick up Nicole and Casey on our way and meet you guys there" Joey says
"Ok" Chad says
We go to the van and get my brothers in the get in ourselves. Alan drives to chick fil a. We get there and get out. I pick Owen up and Chad picks up Nick. Then we head inside. We find a table and sit down.
"What does everyone want" Alan asks
"Chicken sandwich" Chad says
"Nick will have nuggets" I say
"I'll get you a chicken sandwich" Alan says
"Ok" I say
Alan goes and gets in line to order. Chad's about to say something but my phone rings. I go outside and answer it.
M-hello
H-hi this is the hospital calling about Lucas Jackson. Is this Megan
M-yeah can I help you
H-you need to get down to the hospital quick
M-ok thanks
I hang up and start running towards the hospital.
*Chad POV*
Alan comes back with the food and everyone else arrives.
"Where's Megan" Casey asks
"She went outside to answer her phone" I say
"She wasn't out there" Nicole says
"Ok. Can you guys watch the boys I know where she is" I say
"Come with" Nick asks
"Ok" I sigh
I pick him up and go outside. I forgot I don't have my car here. Joey comes out and hands me his keys.
"Thanks Joe" I say
"Yeah. Wait let me come with. I want to know what's wrong with Luke" he says
"Ok" I say
We get in his car and he heads to the hospital. We're almost there when I spot Megan walking. Joey pulls over and I roll down the window.
"Megan get in" I say
"No Chad. I have to go see my brother" she says
I get out and go over to her. I pick her up and put her in the back. I get in and Joey drives to the hospital. We get there and Megan runs inside. I look over at Joey and he nods his head. I take off after her. I get in there and find her at the front desk.
"I was told to come here" she says
"I'm sorry but I can't let you see your brother" the lady says
"Lucas Jackson" we hear someone say
We turn around and see a doctor. We walk over to him.
"How is he" Megan asks
"He's doing ok. We still haven't found and antidote yet. The problem though is that if we don't find something soon something really bad could happen" the doctor says
"Can I see him" she asks
"If you wash your hands before you enter and as soon as you leave. You both can go in" the doctor says
"Thank you" I say
He shows us to the room and we quickly wash our hands. We go in and Megan rushes over to the bed. I stay back so she can talk to her brother.
*Megan POV*
We get in the room and I run over to the bed.
"Lukey" I say
"Hey sis" he mumbles
"How are you" I ask
"Ok. Really tired and not feeling well though" he says
"I know" I say
"How are you, Nick, and Owen" he asks
"Good but we miss you" I say tearing up
"I know you don but I'll be fine. I'll get better. I need you to look after our brothers. Bother the guys if you have to. I'm sure they won't mind" he says
"Your brother's right. We won't mind if you bother us. We want to help you. We want to help all of you" Chad says
"Ok" I say
I look back at Luke and he yawns.
"Get some sleep Bubby. I'll see you later" I say
He nods his head and closes his eyes. Chad and I walk out and wash our hands again. We go out to the waiting room where Joey and Nick are. Nick runs over to me and I pick him up.
"Lukey" he asks
"He's fine. He'll be just fine. We will too. Now should we go hang out with everyone else" I ask
"No" Nick says
"Why not" I ask
"Sleepy" he says
"Ok. We'll go home so you can take a nap" I say
"No. No home. me not tired" he says
"He can't sleep in one of the spare rooms at my place" Chad says
"Ok" I say
We go out to Joey's car and get in. He drives to Chad's. We go in and everyone is there. I follow Chad upstairs to a bedroom. I go in and lay Nick down.
"Sissy you stay with me" Nick asks
"Ok" I sigh
"Don't worry Megan I'll wake you for dinner because I know you're so thrilled to eat" Chad says
"Hush it Chadwick" I say
He turns the light off and walks out closing the door. I close my eyes and drift off to sleep.
*Chad POV*
I go downstairs and join the others in the living room.
"Chad your lunch is in the kitchen if you're hungry" Alan says
"Ok. I'll get it" I say
I go and grab my food then return. I eat my lunch and throw my trash out.
"Where's Megan" Nicole asks
"Sleeping. She's taking a nap with Nick. She didn't get much sleep last night" I say
"I'm worried about her" Casey says
"We all are Case. We just have to pray and be there for her and her brothers" Joey says
"Wait Chad you went and saw Luke. How is he" Caleb asks
"He's ok. At least he says he is. I can tell he is feeling terrible and just wants to get out and be with his siblings. Those four are so close" I say
"They are. Since their parents aren't around often they have to take care of the younger ones. If they were aloud to live on their own they would." Nicole says
"Yeah. Megan was telling me how she wished she could buy a house for her and her brothers to live in"  I say
"Let's not worry about that right now. How about we watch a movie" Alan says
"Ooh Tarzan" Joey says
We all agree and turn it on. About an hour or two later Nick comes downstairs. He walks over to me and sits on my lap.
"Sleep well" I ask
He nods his head rubbing his eyes. He leans his head on my shoulder and starts sucking his thumb.
"Nicky don't suck your thumb" Casey says
"No" he says
I stand up and go over to Owen's diaper bag. I look through it and find another nimmy. I put it in Nicks mouth in place of his thumb. I go back over to the couch.
"Hey Chad and Joey us girls are going to take the little ones with us somewhere. Is that ok" Kelsey asks
"Yeah I'm fine with that" Joey says
"Sure" I say
"Can I come with" Tyler asks
"What? Your tired of us already" Casey asks
"Yeah" Tyler says
"Sure you can come" Fallon says
They leave and we turn the tv off.
"Nicole where are Jess and Brian at" Casey asks
"Oh Brian wanted to hang out with Jess today. I don't know why though" Nicole says
"I have no idea. Maybe because they wanted to spend time as siblings" Caleb says
"Dude that makes too much sense" Joey says
"Whatever" Caleb says
Megan comes downstairs and sits on the floor.
"Megan there's a sandwich on the table for you. Please go eat" I say
"Chad" she whines
"Go" I say
"I'm not hungry" she says
I go to the kitchen and heat the sandwich up. Once it's done I take it out to her.
"Eat" I say
"Chadwick" she says
"Calisia" I say
"Woah I just realized your initials are almost the same" Casey says
"Woah they are" Joey says
"Oh gosh" Nicole says
"Huh" they ask
"You two are so similar" Alan says
"Whatever" Casey says
"Now where were we" I ask
"I know. I will not eat that sandwich" Megan says
"Yes you will. You haven't eaten in like 18 hours. You will eat before 24 hours is up." I say
"Ok I will" she says
"Good" I say
"Guys we need to talk" Alan says
"Ok. Girls behave" Caleb says
"Ok. Boys behave" Nicole says
We walk outside and sit down.
"Ok so are we going to tell them" I ask
"Yes we are but when" Joey asks
"Well we should do it sooner than later" Alan says
"Ok so today. He already said we could meet up today" Caleb says
"Alright. It's set then" I say
We go back inside to find the three girls wrestling. Looks like Megan is winning. Joey grabs Casey, Alan grabs Nicole, and I grab Megan.
"We told you girls to behave" Caleb says
"Casey called me Allison" Nicole says
"Nicole called me Cassandra. That's not even my name" Casey says
"They both called me Calisia. After Chadwick over there said it" Megan says
"Ok whatever. We have to head to the studio again. We have to tell you three something." Joey says
"Alright. Let's go" Megan says
"Wait Megan doesn't get to know till she eats the sandwich" I say
"Fine I'll eat it" she says
She grabs the sandwich and eats it. We head out to Alan's van and get in. Alan drives to the studio and we go inside. We sit in the couches and floor.
"Ok girls Alan has something to say. Alan" Caleb says
"So I've been with Anthem Lights since the beginning and we've had great success. However, it's time for me to step down. I want to do more with acting and stuff. So I'm going to be leaving but we have found a guy who is awesome." Alan says
"Do we get to meet him" Casey asks
"Yeah. He's actually waiting in the back." Joey says
"Who is it" Nicole asks
"Hold your horses" I say
"Excuse me Chadwick but I have no horses to hold. Plus I can't really hold a horse. They're to big to hold" Megan says
"Well dear Calisia you see it could be a miniature horse and metaphorically speaking hold your horses" I say
"Ugh Chad why do you insist on picking on me" Megan asks
"Because. I get bored of picking on Joey" I say
"That just means I can do it" a voice says
The girls turn around and Nicole gasps.
"What's wrong Nicole" Caleb asks
"That's Spencer Kane. I love his music" Nicole says
"Thanks. Now I hope I wasn't interrupting the lovely argument but I was getting bored" Spencer says
"Ok girls this is Spencer Kane. He will taking Alan's spot. Don't worry we'll still hang out with Alan" Caleb says
"So I hear that Casey and Joey are related and that Casey is living with Joey" Spencer says
"Yeah" Casey says
"I'm so sorry for you" Spencer says
"Hey" Joey yells
"You're to tall" Megan says
"Well hello. You must be Megan" Spencer says
"No. I'm Calisia" she says
"Whatevs. Now shall we go do something" Spencer asks
"Sing" Casey says
"Yas" Nicole says
"Ok. Now girls what song shall we sing" Megan asks
"Not sure. Boys give us a minute" Nicole says
They walk off and Spencer sits.
"I thought they meant we were going to sing" he says
"Same" Caleb says
"Agreed" Joey says
"Just let them sing. I want to hear this" I say
They come back and stand in front of us.
"Ok. We're going to do our frozen mashup we created" Casey says
"Joey do you by any chance have a clarinet or tenor sax I can play" Megan asks
"Yeah." He says
He walks off and comes back with a sax.
"Do you also have a violin, guitar, piano, accordion, and harmonica I can use" Megan asks
"Of course" Joey says
He walks off again and comes back with the instruments besides the piano since it's already out. She sets them up the way she wants and picks up the guitar. She starts playing and the other two start singing. By the time they're done we're all laughing so hard.
"Hey it's not that funny" Nicole says
"Yeah it is" Alan says
"I'm out of breath" Megan says
"You're good" Joey says
"Eh. I mostly taught myself. I would get bored and go into the music room and fool around with the instruments till I was able to play them well enough. Music is my escape." Megan says
"Well you're definitely better than me" Joey says
"Woah Joey is actually admitting to losing something the world is coming to an end" Casey says
"Hush it little girl I know where you sleep" Joey says
"You aren't any taller" Casey says
"Ouch. Ok stop fighting you two" Caleb says
"Wait can I wrestle Spencer? I want to see if it's harder or easier than wrestling Chad. Chad put up a fight" Megan says
"Ok but outside in the grass" Alan says
"You up for it" Megan asks
"Ok" Spencer says
So that's how the rest of the day went. Megan and Spencer wrested till they claimed a draw. We all went back to my place then went our separate ways until it was me, Fallon, Megan, and her brothers left.
"Megan do you want to sleep here" I ask
"No. It's fine" she says
"Ok. I'll help you take your brothers home" I say
"Ok" she says
I pick Nick up and she takes Owen from Fallon. I walk her home and take Nick up to his room. I get him in bed and then head out. I get to my house and go inside. I go upstairs to bed and fall asleep quickly.
