Chapter 32

(1 week later)
*Joey POV*
Right now I'm sitting in my living room with Hope, Faith, Megan, Casey, and Nicole.
"Why are we here Joseph? I was wrestling Chad" Megan complains
"Ok ok I need your help" I say
"With what" hope asks
"Well Megan, Nicole, and Casey armrest know what they need to do but Faith and Hope I need you guys to meet me at a certain place with jewel. I'll text you the directions and time." I say
"Ok" faith says
"You are dismissed" I say
Faith and Hope leave but Megan, Nicole, and Casey stay behind.
"Ok girls let me see it" I say
They show me the papers and I look at them.
"Good. Thank you girls so much" I say
"No problem Joey" Nicole says
"Are we free to go now" Casey asks
"You live here. Where do you want to go" I ask
"Us three have to go do something" Megan says
"Ok ok. Just make sure you're at the place by 6" I say
"That only gives us 2 hours" Nicole whines
"Oh boohoo" I say
The girls leave and I go up to my room. I change and then go to Jason's room. I go in and he's playing with his small guitar.
"Do you want help bubba" I ask
"Yes please Daddy" he says
I sit down and place him on my lap. I put his hand in place and start strumming.
"Sing daddy" he says
I nod and start singing I can't wait to be king. I finish singing and Jason starts clapping.
"Now you sing" I say
"No. I don't sing" he says
He gets off my lap and runs out of the room. I put the guitar down and go to Tyler's room. I knock on the door and wait for approval. I go in and see him working on his laptop.
"Hey what are you working on" I ask
"College applications and scholarships. I go off to college next year" he says
"What colleges are you thinking of because we can go for college visits if you want" I say
"Uh Ohio State, Cedarville, Kutztown, Penn State, and Rowan" he says
"Ok. I heard those were all good schools. What are you wanting to go for exactly" I ask
"Um teaching. I don't know if I want to do normal or special Ed. I'm still thinking about it" he says
"Ok" I say
"Oh Joey good luck with tonight" he says
"Thanks. I'm heading out. You sure you're okay with watching your brother because I can drop him off somewhere" I say
"He's fine here but you can drop him off at someone's house if you want" he says
"I'll ask Jason what he wants to do" I say
"Alright" Tyler says
I go downstairs to see Jason hiding under a blanket.
"Hmm where's Jason" I say
I look around then go over to the couch. I grab him and lift him up in the air him squealing in the process.
"So Jason daddy has to go somewhere do you want to play with Nick or Rowe" I ask
"Nick" he says
I pull my phone out and text Chad.
J-I have to go do something is it ok if I drop Jason off to play with Nick
C-sure

I put my phone away and go to my car. I drive to Chad and take Jason out. I go up to the door and go inside.
"Chadwick I'm here" I say
"Joseph I'm downstairs" he says
I go downstairs to find him, Owen, Nick, Fallon, and the girls watching a movie.
"Oh Chad we have to leave. We'll be back later" Casey says
They get up off the couch and go upstairs.
"Thanks again Chad" I say
"No problem" he says
I set Jason down and go upstairs. I go out to my car to find the girls in it.
"You three ready" I ask
"Yep" they say
I start the car and drive to the park.
"Ok you three know where to be. Megan you have your camera" I ask
"Yep" she says
They run off and at 6:10 hope, Jewel, and Faith arrive.
*Jewel POV*
Around 5:30 Hope and Faith arrive at my house.
"What's up girlies" I ask
"Do you want to come hang at the park with us" Faith asks
"Sure. Just let me change into something more comfy" I say
I run upstairs and put on sweatpants and a t shirt then go downstairs. I put on my converse then we head out. On our walk there we talk about random things.
"Megan and Dylan are the cutest couple ever" I say
"I don't know Luke's and Nicole's is a strong relationship. They've gone through a lot." Hope says
"But Liam and Casey are adorable. I went to the park with them yesterday and it was fun watching them fool around and interact" Faith says
We get to the park and I spot Joey.
"What is Joey doing here" I ask
We walk over there and once we get there the other two race each other to the swings.
"Do you care joining me for a picnic" he asks
"I would love to" I say
We go over to the blanket and sit down. He opens the baskets and pulls out sandwiches and watermelon. He prays and we start eating. Once we finish he stands up and holds his hand out. I take it and stand up.
"Shall we go on a walk" he asks
"We shall" I say
He interlaces our fingers and we start walking. We get closer to the swings and I run off him running behind me. I sit on one and he starts pushing me.
"Swing with me" I say
"I don't want to swing" he says
"Please" I beg
"Ok ok fine" he says
He sits on a swing and grabs my hand. We start swinging together. We jump off the swings and continue walking again.
"Hey I wrote a song for you" he says
"Ooh sing it" I say
"But I need my guitar and it's back with the food" he says
"Fine let's go back" I say
We go back and he grabs his guitar. I sit down and look up at him. He puts the seal over his shoulder and starts singing.

"Of course Joey" I exclaim
He puts the ring on my finger and I hug him. Shortly we hear clapping I pull away to see Megan, Casey, Nicole, Faith, and Hope standing there.
"You girls were in on this" I ask
"Mostly those three we were only I charge of getting you here" Hope says
"And those three also helped with the song some" Joey says
"Well thank you" I say
I hug the girls and then walk over to Joey.

"Let's go tell the others" I say
"I got a text from Chad saying they're all at Caleb's" Megan says

We go to the car and the other three start walking. We get in and Joey drives slowly behind the girls.
"What are you doing" I ask
"It's getting dark. I'm making sure they're safe. Chad and Spencer would kill me if something happened to them and I'd kill myself if something happened to them" Joey says
"Aww how sweet he's protective of them" Hope says

We get to Chad's and go in. We get in and everyone yells congratulations.
"How did you guys know" I ask
"I was video taping it and then I had it hooked with the tv and had the video playing on it" Megan says
"How do you know how to do this stuff" I ask
"I don't know. I just do it" she says
"Oh Joey and jewel and everyone else we have a gift." Casey says
"It was Megan's idea" Nicole says

Megan grabs her laptop and does a few things till a video pops up on the tv. Joey and I walk over to where everyone else is and sit on the floor. Megan presses play and the video plays. It's a video of pictures of me and Joey or Joey and the guys or me and the girls. Or just a bunch of random pictures. Once in a while there will be a video. In the background there's Joey's voice singing different songs. By the end I'm crying I get up and hug the girls.
"How did you get those songs." Joey asks
"We had a little help." Nicole says
"Chad wick is that why you dragged me to the studio three days ago" Joey says
"Yep" Chad says
"That was awesome. Thank you girls" I say
"Is this what you girls had to work on" Joey asks
"No. We didn't get to work on the thing because Chad made us go to his house and watch movies." Casey says
"I said I'd take you girls tomorrow after church. I never said I would take you today" Chad says
"Yeah yeah yeah whatever you say Chaddy" Nicole says
Chad gets up from the couch and slings Nicole over his shoulder.
"Chad put my sister down" Brian says

He places Nicole on the ground then goes back to his seat.
"Megan get off my seat" Chad whines

Chad sighs then sits on megan.
"Alright well what shall we do now" Chad asks
"Well the little ones are hungry so we need to head out" Alan says
The Powell's say goodbye to everyone then leave.
"We should head out too. I told Jess we could go get ice cream after dinner she goes to bed around 9 so we gotta go" Spencer says
Brian and Jess get up but Nicole doesn't move.
"Come on Nicole" Spencer says
"She can sleep over Chad and Joey says
"We can give you a ride home Faith" Spencer says
"Ok thanks" faith says
"Wait Faith do you want to sleep over" Megan asks
"Sure. May I Chad" faith asks
"As long as your mom is ok with it" Chad says
Spencer and the other two leave and faith walks off to call her mom.
"Joey I'm sleeping over" hope says
"Wait Chad are the girls sleeping at my house or your house" Joey asks
"I have no idea. We can let them choose" Chad says
"Ok because I know you guys have the movie room and then I have a sleepover room" Joey says
"Chadwick can you please get off of me now" Megan asks
"I'm surprised you haven't asked me to move sooner" Chad says standing up
Megan gets up and sits next to Dylan who didn't leave with the Powell's
"Why didn't you leave" Joey asks
"Uh Tyler did you not tell him" Dylan asks
"Oh yeah Joey Dylan and Luke are sleeping over" Tyler says
"Daddy o want to sleep over with Nicky and Owen" Jason says
"Okay girls sleep at my house, The older boys sleep here at Caleb's and then the little ones sleep at Chad's" Joey says
"Woah why my house" Caleb asks
"Because one of them lives here and there's no little kids" Chad says
"I'm able to sleep over" Faith says
"Brian is also sleeping over. What about you bro? Want to join" Luke says
"Sure" Liam says
"Does Jess want to join us" Casey asks
"I already asked Brian. He said that she's going to the Powell's to play with AJ" Luke says
"How does Spencer get the house with no kids" Kelsey asks
"No clue. But maybe he'll go on another date with Suzy" I say

*Joey POV*
I walk away from the others and go out front. I pull my phone out and call Spencer.
S-hey Joe what up bro
J-hey I think we had a deal
S-what deal
J-if I proposed to Jewel you'd ask Suzy to be your girlfriend

S-ok ok it needs to be special though
J-what's her favorite food
S-fettuccine alfredo
J-ok a candle lit dinner by the pool with fettuccine alfredo playing love you like the movies best thing

I hang up and go inside.

"Well I might've talked Spencer into asking Suzy to be his girlfriend and planned the date" I say
"Well you are romantic so that works" she says
"Ok you girls ready to go" I ask
"Yep" they say
We head out and go to my car. Megan, Nicole, and Faith get in then hope and Casey sit on someone's lap.
"Alright. Jewel am I taking you home or are you coming over." I ask
"She's coming over and hanging with us" Faith says
"You heard them. Now drive faster boy" jewel says
"I'm already driving over the speed limit." I say
We get to my house and the girls run to the door. Casey unlocks sit and they disappear inside. I go in and to the living room. I sit on the couch and pull my phone out.
J-remind me why I'm stuck with the crazy ones

Ca-the guys and I are playing Mario kart
Ch-the boys are eating dinner then going to bed

Ca-ooh even worse. Those girls shouldn't hang out together. It gets wild

I put my phone away and go down to the basement where the girls are.
"Do you 6 want dinner" I ask
"Pizza" they say

*Megan POV*
Joey goes upstairs and we continue talking.
"Okay time to prank call the boys" faith says
"All the boys have our numbers besides Jewels" I say
"And I have Tyler's, Brian's, Luke's" Jewel says
"Ok let's prank call Dylan and then Liam" Nicole says
"Ooh let's use Joey's phone for one of them" Casey says
"Joseph come down here" Hope yells
He comes downstairs and looks at us.
"Yes" he asks
"May we borrow your phone" I ask
"For what" he asks
"Please baby" Jewel asks
"Ok fine" Joey says
He gives Jewel his phone and goes upstairs again.
"Oh the pizza will be here soon" he yells
"Ok" we yell back

"Ok jewel you call Liam using Joey's and I'll call Dylan using yours. Hope and Casey go with Jewel. Megan and Nicole come with me. We need to go in separate rooms so we can put it on speaker" Faith says

Those three walk off and Faith calls Dylan.

There's a pause and some voices.

I hang up and we crack up laughing. A couple minutes later the other three come back. As they're coming back my phone rings.

I hang up just as Joey's coming downstairs with pizza.

He sighs in defeat and goes upstairs. We eat the food then turn on the movie. The movie ends and Faith gets a call from an unknown number.
"Answer it on speaker" I say

?-you order wonton soup and fortune cookie
