I walked into the school with Erica by my side. After we left that stupid house party that Blake Weatherly threw on Friday, we were a little mortified. Well, I may be speaking for myself on this one.
Erica was shocked at first when she found Blake on top of Allison in his room but as soon as the both of us left to go to her house, she admitted to it being funny. I didn't find it even remotely hilarious. It kind of pissed me off, and it angered me. I don't know why I was growing these feelings for Blake, I guess I just...I don't know.
"Hey," Erica broke my train of thoughts, and I snapped up to look into her pretty eyes. "It wasn't that bad. I thought it was actually funny."
I gave her a soft reassuring smile and she turned away to continue walking. Ever since we met, she agreed to walk me to class. I didn't mind it...at all.
When we rounded the corner in the math hallway, I froze in place. My eyes carefully watched Blake put things in his locker. I just stared.
"Umm, Denny?" Erica asked. I turned to her. "Are you okay? Come on." She took my left wrist and started dragging me to my first period class. As we started to get closer and closer to my classroom door, I heard someone call out my name.
"Denny."
I snatched my wrist from Erica's strong grip and turned instantly around to see Blake. I stared at him as he smiled. His smile wasn't your average normal 'cute guy' smile. It actually read something: Sympathy and sorrow.
"Erica, Denny." He glanced at the both of us in acknowledgement, and all we did was just continue to stare. He gazed at me a little longer, until he breathed out a couple of sexy chuckles. He placed his hands in his pockets, "Um, listen. I know that - "
"We are extremely sorry that we went into your room at your party. We were just curious! Denny tried to tell me it was wrong to look around your house but I didn't listen." Erica blurted out what she wanted to say like she was about to explode if it didn't come out. After breathing in and out from talking so fast, me and Blake cocked an eyebrow at her.
"It's true." I finally clarified while crossing my arms, offering him a blunt gaze. "We didn't mean to walk in on you having sex with your girlfriend."
"Allison." Blake corrected for me, a frown glazing over his gorgeous face. His luscious green-blue eyes held thought.
"Allison." I sighed. Erica just glanced at the both of us as if she were confused.
He cupped the back of his neck with his hand and he had an uncomfortable look on his face, "And we weren't really doing anything, we were just - "
"Blake! How's our favorite party host going?"
The three of us turned to face Elaine and Logan. They both had white smirks on their faces. I sighed once more and glanced at Blake, who started talking with them. Erica just stared at the two guys dreamily.
"Elaine. Logan. Shouldn't you guys be in class already?" He asked uneasily.
"We could ask the same for you." Elaine replied with a wider smirk, raising an eyebrow simultaneously. I watched at the three of them were sort of having a 'guy' moment, ignoring the fact that Erica and I were still here. It was like we were invisible to them.
"Friday was awesome, right?" Logan questioned. "You remember when you told me how hot Allison was in bed that night? Well you're getting popular off of it!"
I rolled my eyes to show shock. Like him becoming any more popular than what he already is was even possible.
Blake started chuckling awkwardly.
