"Mom, I'll be right out!" I called out while applying some of the brand new mascara that I got for the Halloween party Allison was throwing.

It's officially Saturday (October 31st)  and it has been four weeks since Blake and I have been going out, and for some reason, everyone knows except coach. I figured he would somehow get the word around school but...I guess he's just stuck in oblivion for the time being. I wasn't in any rush to let him know that I, his niece, is going out with his most reliable player in his whole coaching career. He'd probably just start acting all 'fatherly'.

"Deniella, Blake's already downstairs. Please hurry!" She rushed, going back down the stairs shortly after. From the moment she told me this, I dropped my mascara bottle on my dresser on accident. Blake's...already here?! I didn't even have my costume on yet!

I turned away from my mirror and quickly pranced my head around to scope out my costume. I found it hanging on my cushion seat, and once I shimmied into it, I took a look at myself in the mirror. I was a witch! Erica helped me pick it out at some Halloween costume store last night. She wouldn't be able to go to the party unfortunately, because well...she wasn't invited. But she says she's fine with it and wouldn't want to go to a 'whore's' party anyway.

I had on dark eyeshadow and a touch of pink glossy lip gloss with a touch of dark eyeliner and mascara. I wasn't going to go overboard tonight. My hair is straightened, and since it is naturally wavy and curly looking, it took me three hours to get it perfected and straightened right. It was frustrating during the process, but it was worth it. I actually looked alright for myself.

I turned away and sat on my bed, taking out a shoe box of witch boots and slipping them on after putting on orange and black striped socks. I took one last look at myself in the mirror and as I headed for the door, I grabbed my cell phone and witch hat and power-walked downstairs. When I saw Blake in a tuxedo and a cape with fangs and mysterious green eye contacts, I almost fell over. Not because he looked frightening...quite the opposite actually! He looked hot for a vampire. I tried to suppress in a giggle at the fact that the most popular senior in the school is dressing as a vampire for a Halloween party.

"I should take pictures," Mom thought out in awe, looking at the two of us. I rolled my eyes at her mentally and nodded my head towards the front door at Blake. He looked unsure of what I was trying to do, little did he know that I was trying to escape before my mom would embarrass me!

"I think your mom should take pictures, Denny." He said with a shrug, "You look cute. This has to be in one of your photo books of memories."

I shook my head to disagree and my mom hopped in front of us with a camera before Blake could ask me why not. "Now," She started to get the camera ready with her hand and her other one motioned for us to come close together to fit in the photo, "I want you two to hold hands, this is so cute!"

"Mom!" I groaned out. Blake chuckled out his usual sexy chuckle and without me even realizing it, he brushed his fingers against mine for a second and finally took my hand. I blushed for the fraction of the second and I started to get nervous.

Yep, you would think that for being together a month, I would've already gotten the whole 'Blake's holding my hand' or 'Blake's hugging me' or 'Blake kissed me' thing down. But you see, I don't think I'll ever get used to it...sadly.
