Here's more! And hey, I know I said I'd do Blake's POV a few times, but I think I might do a point of view from him more often, simply because it's important that we know how he's feeling, too. Wouldn't that be better for the story? Give me your opinion after you finish reading, perhaps? Thanks (:

Original POV: Denny

Blake woke up to a massive headache, an ice pack on his forehead, and to me. I watched him with worried eyes as he slowly started to recover from the 'accident'.

"Denny," He finally breathed slowly, pulling on a slow smile.

I quickly blushed at the sound of my name leaving his lips. The way he said it, I don't know...the way it sounded, it just...sounded right coming from his mouth. My eyes grew broad without me knowing, and I knew he could tell because he slowly started to deepen his smile.

He lifted himself up slowly, and the ice pack fell onto his lap. He was laying on his bed in his bedroom, and he looked around as if he were unaware of his surroundings. I would too, I guess. But I must say, it took a lot for me to get him upstairs to his room, especially if I was doing all of the work. I sighed at having to tell him what happened. Where should I even begin?

"What happened?" He turned to meet my eyes without pure seriousness, and I bit my tongue.

"Well, you sort of...went unconscious." I pressed the ice pack back on his forehead and he sort of winced in pain. Or was it that the ice was too cold?

"How?"

"Um...Allison sort of...saw you kiss me and she went all...crazy. She took off one of her heels and kind of..." I couldn't even finish my sentence without wanting to look away. But Blake knew I was uncomfortable with carrying it on, so instead, he simply nodded, as if to saying he gets it. "Yeah. And then she...threatened me and took off." I finally lowered my eyes from his, embarrassed. Blake frowned for a second and then he nodded once more

"Thanks for the ice pack," Even if he was thanking me, he took it from me and tossed it aside as if he didn't want it anymore. He stared into my eyes for a moment, until a smile slowly started to creep up on his face. I couldn't help but to watch him carefully. "So, you're the one who decided to take care of me while I was unconscious, huh?"

I nodded, blushing even more.

He started chuckling and said, "Denny, if I'd known better, I would say you're being shy right now." He trailed his finger on his bed, and then he glanced back into my dark orbs. I wanted to look away again, but I had a feeling Blake had something else to say. "Why do you have to be so shy around me?"

Usually, I'd frown and deny my shy moments, but this time instead, I gave him a shrug. "I don't know. I guess it's because you're popular and everyone respects you, I guess. "

He stared at me for a slight second, until he sighed and got off his bed, turning away from me while standing still. I chewed on my lip; did I say something wrong? Not knowing the answer, he finally spoke up by sighing at first. "It gets old sometimes. The attention and stuff, but Denny..." He turned around to face me again, "You have no reason to be shy with me. I'm your friend, remember?"

Friends? I felt a small portion of my heart die. You see, I was hoping we could be more than just friends, but I guess after his break up with Allison, he's not looking to be in a relationship. Nonetheless, I swallowed the lump in my throat and nodded at him anyways.

***

I walked into the school buildings on a boring Monday with Erica right by my side. I told her about how Allison freaked out when Blake kissed me again, and how she knocked him out with her shoe heel and took off the second after. As always, we ignored the many eyes that laid on me (most of them now prior to the fact that Allison probably told the school that Blake kissed me).
