About the POV things, I'll try and stop doing that. I only wanted to do a lot of it around this time of the story because of the secrets and stuff. You'll understand once they go on that 'summer' trip in California. Anyway...if you wondered why I did the POVs, just know that it all connects to the trip. It'll all make sense once it happens. It flows in with the future drama.
...And a side story? Uhhh I don't know. I don't really know how those work.
:D
_______________
Original POV: Denny - Saturday. (Exams in two days)
"Just move it right there," Allison told me as I tried to help her move some things around in her room.
Okay, I know it's weird that I was helping her and that we were past enemies but she really has changed. Blake and some other guy will be over in a few minutes, so it shouldn't be too weird. I only offered to help her because I kind of feel like I owe her. But she's changed, and I could finally see myself being around her without feeling awkward. She still hangs out with her old friends, but not as much. Since they all sort of...turned their backs on her and went to Lily Poret.
"Right here?" I asked while struggling to carry her small nightstand.
She smiled, "Perfect."
I placed it down within seconds, and I caved in on the floor, exhausted.
"Nothing like a good work out just before exams, huh Denny?" She asked.
"I guess. Do you have a bottle of water?"
"I don't know, let's go downstairs and check." She walked out of her room and I followed her out, still glancing around. Her house was huge and amazing. It looked like one of those teen cribs. When we went into the kitchen, which was at a good view from her brick patio and pool, she opened her spacious pantry closet and her eyes lit up. "Here's one. You actually took the last one." She handed it to me nicely and I smiled at her.
"You don't drink water?" I assumed.
"Not as much. I usually go for energy drinks and stuff now. My mom usually takes water with her on her jogs in the mornings." She turned on her heel and went towards her refrigerator, taking out a bottle of Gatorade. "I love these things," She said, "To me, they're just as good as water. But they actually have taste and gives you a little energy."
"Doesn't like...Blake drink that kind of stuff?" I asked while wiping my lips.
"Well yeah. Pretty much all athletic people do. When we were together, all you'd ever see him with was a Gatorade." She laughed out. I laughed back, drinking more of my water and darting my eyes off to the side. It went all of a sudden quiet, and I started to grow curious. I turned to Allison and she was staring at me. Sort of like, she was studying me.
"What?" I asked in a meek voice, looking at her shyly.
She snapped out of her daze, "Nothing. It's just that...you really are pretty. And I'm sorry if I ever made you feel like the....total opposite of-"
"It's fine." I gave her a warm smile. "I know I'm not the prettiest, but I'm not the ugliest either."
"No, you don't understand what I'm saying. You're stunning. And I don't understand why it took me really just now to realize it."
I felt weird about the amount of attention I was receiving from her. I didn't really know how to respond, so I just gave her a weird look and said, "Uh, thanks?"
