I like to make myself believe...that planet earth spins slowly. It's hard to say that I'd rather stay awake when I'm asleep. Cause everything is never as it seems!
BTW: Thanks for being patient with me guys. I've been really depressed lately because of my grandad's death, but when I write, I feel so much better! And on another note, this chapter has Blake's party on it...not the private date that happens afterwards. In this chapter, something pops up so the private/romantic date will be on the next chapter!

Blake's POV
"Blake, this one is beautiful." Denny said in amazed awe as she gazed at a shimmery black dress that looked like it would barely reach her knees. There was also a black cardigan to go with it, too. My eyes glistened for a short second. It was Christmas Eve and I was having my party in about four hours. After I told Denny two days ago that I'd take her shopping today at the outside mall and then take her to a special place for us privately after my party, she was very ecstatic and pleased with the news. She was so eager to go shopping and some of her positive energy fed well into mine. I wanted to take her out on Christmas night, but I figured she'd have that time reserved for her family. I went back to reality and gazed at Denny.
"You should try it on." I told her with a grin. "Then show me and if you like it, I'll buy it."
Her eyes went huge for a second, and then she blushed. "I...I don't want you to see me in the dress until..." Her voice trailed away as if it were shy like herself, but in the midst of it all, I got what she was saying. I chuckled smoothly and stuffed my hands casually in my jean pockets.
"I get it. You don't want me to see how amazing you'll look until we go on our private date after the party. Fine with me."
Before I even realized that I was making her blush harder, she quickly whipped around and power walked into the changing rooms. I laughed to myself. Denny can be such a panic freak whenever I kiss her or even just compliment her. It was strange but cute overall.
As soon as she told me the dress was a perfect fit, I bought it. When we walked outside of the store, her eyes started to randomly browse at the other outside stores on her right, which had an abundant amount of Christmas decorations and winter outfits that the manikins dressed in. After a few seconds of just watching her stare at her right, I started to realize that maybe she isn't browsing at the stores' window displays. Maybe she's just too shy to look me in the eyes. Coming to her surprise, I started to hold her hand. She was still looking at her right, but even I could feel her tensing up.
I sighed while smiling simultaneously, "Denny. Do I intimidate you or something?"
She quickly whipped her head towards me defensively, some of her thick and dark hair slapping me slightly in the face, "No. Nothing intimidates me."
"Mmm." I was being skeptical, wondering why she was being stubborn.
She rolled her eyes silently at me, not carrying the conversation on. I just smirked and held her hand even tighter. While I was looking straight ahead and walking with her at the same time, I could see her looking at me from the corner of my eye. I saw her smiling lightly. Hah...busted.
I continued to smirk to myself, pretending to be oblivious of her smile.

Original POV: Denny
"I wonder if Allison wishes she was here." Erica said out loud over the music, holding a small cup of punch in her hands. We glanced around and watched Blake's house start to fill...fast. Although I was distracted on trying to search for Blake because I wanted to be with him, I couldn't help but to turn to Erica and react to her random question.
