Guys, like I mentioned before, there will be confusion and frustration throughout the story. But you'll have to bear with it. Please? Thanks!

*Two weeks and two days later*
"So, you're eighteen now. How does it feel?" Ein asked me over the phone.
It's my birthday, and ever since this morning, I've been getting calls from my family back and forth, in and out. My friends wanted to take me out to breakfast, and then around 3, Blake's going to teach me how to surf. He's been going on California trips in between his times in New York, and while he's been here, he's been surfing with his teenage guy cousins, who are now in their twenties.
"It feels the same. I still feel seventeen." I told Ein truthfully, a huge grin on my face. It was good hearing his voice, hearing the amusement in it. I missed him. Whenever I'd see him or even talk to him, he gave me nostalgia. He reminds me of what it used to be like, when it was just me, him, and Erica...just us three. Before I started going out with Blake, before I started befriending a few of the other school populars, like Allison, Elaine, and Logan.
"Well I guess that's normal. I wish I was there just for your birthday. But...I'm not." He laughed and I giggled.
"So, what you been up to?" I chewed on my lip as I asked Ein, smiling over at Elaine, who walked in my room and stood there with a huge grin on his face. He just woke up. I turned around towards the window as if that would somehow make the phone conversation between me and Ein more private.
"Good. Summers are boring here these days. Enough with my bitterness, how is it over there?" He asked me. "What's the drama queen doing?"
I rolled my eyes at the mentioning of Erica, "In all honesty, she's acting like an idiot." I mumbled this. She's still messing around with Tyler, and I don't understand why.
"Typical." Ein said. I could hear the annoyance in his voice.
I smiled and didn't say anything else.
"Well, I'm gonna go ahead and let you go. I'll call you whenever I can, okay?" He said dismissively.
"Okay." I reconsidered changing my response and added, "I miss you."
"Same here. But hey, just another two months and a half! I'll talk to you whenever. Bye."
Before I could even respond, he hung up. Just like that. I sighed sadly into the phone and placed it on my nightstand. As soon as I turned around, a sudden force came so quick and fast that I didn't have time to see it . It was like lightening. I fell onto my bed, and Elaine was on top.
"Happy birthday, Parker!" He shouted.
I started laughing so hard, "Ouch. Ouch! Okay. I get it! It's my birthday! Can you get off?"
While still on top of me, he flipped me over so that my stomach was on the bed, and he started tickling me. I screamed into a pillow, and I managed to turn the other way and I grabbed his arms while he still tried to use them as laughing weapons.
"No...more...tickling." I was breathless from laughing so hard. He just smiled at me and got off. I sat up on the bed, still trying to catch my breath.
"Well, if it isn't the birthday girl?" Ryan suddenly walked in while rubbing his hands together, Logan and Allison following him in too.
I ran my fingers through my hair, "God, no. Guys...I only turned eighteen. That's it! No big deal."
