Okay, so this is another part from the lovely Immy. Please check out her work via the dedication!

“Alright,” I said, as we all huddled together. “Do your best. Win points or lose points, it’s alright because we’re a good team and we will kill the bastards in the end. We can’t lose; we’re too awesome. And forget the cheerleaders; they’ll only put you off.”
“Got it,” everyone chorused.
“Alright, on my command,” I said, waiting for the whistle. When it blew, I nodded. “Go. Positions!”
We all took up our places on the court and waited for the command. I was a shooting guard, being fairly tall and having good aim. A shooting guard’s job is just what it sounds – to shoot. And well…
“Knights versus Hawks,” the commentator read over the sound system.
I watched Jeremy wait in position for the tip-off, and then the game began. I wasn’t the tallest player, but I was quick, light on my feet and good at shooting. We were against the Hawks for our first challenge, in the quarter-finals. We needed to defeat them to get through to the semi-finals and then hopefully go up against the Aces in the finals. The tension had been high at the start of the trip but thanks to the training everyone had been relaxed.
“Pass!” I called, but Todd ignored me and the other team stole the ball. I glared at him, rolling my eyes as I heard the cheerleaders yelling some crappy cheer off at the side. It felt strangely unnerving without tuning in to Jamie’s voice, so I listened out for Jenna instead.
“GO LOGAN!” I heard her shriek suddenly, and I looked out as the ball came flying towards me. I grabbed it, jumped and shot, watching the ball fly through the air and fall neatly into the basket without touching the rim. I shot my fist into the air, high-fiving Jeremy as we all cheered, the cheerleaders included.
The rest of the game, once we’d all whacked Todd for not passing me the ball and losing us three points, went surprisingly well. I ignored the cheerleaders for most of it so they didn’t put me off, but whenever I heard Jenna screaming my name I seemed to play better or pull off a shot I didn’t think I could. At half-time, I grinned and ran up to them.
“You know, you don’t have to scream quite that loudly,” I teased her, as she handed me a bottle of water.
“I promised Seth!” she managed to excuse herself. “It’s only fair!”
“Jenna,” Chrysta snapped. “I know you’re practically in love with the bitch, but can you just stick to the routine, please?”
“Fine,” Jenna sighed, rolling her eyes. “Now go away, slutface.”
I smirked at Chrysta stormed off in the direction of Todd. “She is going to be so angry…”
“Meh, whatever,” Jenna said. “Get back out there. I’m cheering for you.”
I grinned and walked off. “Have fun!”
“Oh, I will,” she said sarcastically, as I ran back to the team.
“Huddle up!” I yelled to them, and they all headed over to me. “Right, we’re off to a flying start but we need to pick up our pace. I know we’re shattered but so are they and we have the advantage of morale – ours isn’t crushed. We need to play amazingly so they start to lose faith and then we’re good for the rest of the game. Do not put anything except 110% into this game! We good?”
“Yeah!” the team shouted.
“Alright then, break!” I shouted back, and we all split up to resume the game on the court. Jenna caught my eye and winked at me, and I grinned back at her. This was why I played basketball; it was such a rush. I wished Jamie was here to share it with me, but if she wasn’t then I hoped she was doing alright back at home. I really did miss her.
