The door swung open and a very grumpy, tired looking Logan looked at me with a flat expression. Her short hair was sticking out in all directions and she had her arms crossed against her chest. Giggling, I clapped my hands together. “Morning!”
“How did you get here?” Logan asked groggily. “I mean, you can’t just let yourself into Coby’s house. It’s not like mine.”
I waved her off. “I didn’t.” I replied cheerfully. “He let me in.”
“Oh.” She deadpanned.
“Yeap!”
“Why are you here?”
“Wow,” I replied, rolling my eyes. “You’re such a killjoy.”
“You woke me up.” She replied. “What are you doing here? Wait, what time is it?”
I shrugged. “Eight thirty.”
“And the purpose of this visit is…?”
“I’m all yours!” I said happily.
“What?”
I pushed a folded pair of jeans, grey hoodie and green top towards her. She didn’t usually wear green but if I was choosing the outfit than she would have to wear what I want her to wear. “We’re spending the day together.”
“B—”
“No excuses.” I replied quickly before she could. “And don’t even comment on the top.”
She didn’t press any further. She knew that I wasn’t going to argue, plus, it was early morning. I’d win anyway. “Where’s your wheelchair?” she finally decided saying.
“At home.”
“Why?”
“I ditched it for the day,” I replied, walking past her into the room she was staying in. “We’re going out. Just you and me.” I turned around to look at her. “No Mason.” I grinned.
“Oh.”
My smile dropped. “I’m sorry for spending so much time with him.”
“No it’s—”
“Come on then.” I quickly said so not to get onto the subject. “We’ve got to get going.”
“Where are we going?” she asked, ruffling up her hair. “We’re going now?”
“Yes.” I nodded. “You’re wasting our time. I’ll get a coffee whilst you get dressed.”
“But I was meant to meet—”
“Jenna knows that the plans have been changed. You’re going out with her tomorrow.” I interjected. “I called her last night.”
“You called her? Without my permission?”
I rolled my eyes. Sometimes I hated how grumpy Logan was in the mornings. “Yes. If you remember rightly she’s on my cheerleading team. I know her, I have her number and plus, you’re getting annoyed that I’m spending so much time with Mason, isn’t that right?” I didn’t give her a change to respond. “Yeah, I thought so too. So, I’m free and now you’re free because Jenna said she can just as easily do tomorrow than today. Now get dressed. You’re mood – it’s not the best and you need to wake up.”
“I am awake.” She muttered. “See?”
“But you’re not very pleasant. That’s your problem.”
“I can’t help it.”
“You can. Now come on. Get dressed.” I walked out the door giving her some space. I went into the kitchen where a coffee machine was brewing near the microwave and reached up to grab a cup.
