Chapter Thirteen
The teachers along with Madam Rosmerta and the Minister were starting to get up and leave, Harry, Harriet, Ron and Hermione were still staring at each other, an awkward silence filled the air. Once Harriet saw that the teachers, the Minister and Madam Rosmerta was gone; she grabbed Harry’s cloak along with his wrist,
Harry gave her a look of confusion, so did Ron and Hermione who still didn’t know what to say. Harriet herself didn’t know what to say. She was confused, her emotions were messed up. She didn’t know whether she was supposed to be happy or not, mainly because she felt that she had been lied to. Why didn’t Uncle Remus tell her?
“Where are we going?” said Harry; finally finding his voice, as they got out of the Three Broomsticks. Harriet continued walking briskly
“We are going to find some answers.” She said as she wove through some a small crowd of fellow students, she grabbed Harry by the wrist so he could keep up with her pace.
“What do you mean?” Harry asked a bit irritably, Harriet rolled her eyes and stopped. She looked back at Harry and gave him a look
“Look.” She started, “Didn’t you just hear what those people said back there? Don’t you want to get answers? Don’t you understand–? “
“You’re the one who doesn’t understand Harriet!” said Harry frustrated, “We’ve just heard the truth! And yet you want to get answers? Those were the answers! You’re the one who couldn’t see!”
Harriet screamed in frustration, making a couple of fellow Third Years passing by look curiously to where they were standing and ran away, obviously terrified by Harriet’s invisible screaming. After Harriet screamed, she panted and looked down at her feet, snow was covering her sneakers; her hair was a mess, her emotions were a mess. Harry made an attempt to touch her or at least calm her down but Harriet shrugged his extending hand of help off.
“You just don’t get it,” said Harriet after a few moments “Uncle Remus… He lied to me…. He told me I was alone… I had no more family left…”
Harry put a hand on her shoulder and put some of Harriet’s messy hair behind her ears, Harriet crossed her arms as he did and felt like an immature little child. Harry obviously thought so too because he smiled and laughed a bit when she did.
“Well you have me.” Said Harry “I still count right?”
Harriet couldn’t help but smile, she sighed and decided to let go of her anger. She was supposed to be happy right?
“Of course you do.” She said smiling. Harry grinned, “I still want answers though.”
Harry sighed and Harriet pouted
“C’mon!” she said “You’ve got to admit, you’re curious too!”
For a split second Harriet saw the curiosity in Harry’s eyes, she grinned wickedly. She knew he wouldn’t say no, curiosity always got the better of people Harriet always said.
“Fine fine.” He said, giving up. Harriet grinned and hugged her lost brother in joy.
“Now let us go back to Hogwarts and get some answers out of Uncle Remus!” said Harriet, dragging Harry by the wrist again, walking towards the direction back to the castle.
“Wait.” Said Harry halting. Harriet sighed exasperatedly and looked back at him
“What now?” she asked, Harry grinned
“I have a better idea,” he said; Harriet’s eyebrows rose in confusion s Harry pulled out a piece of parchment from his pocket; along with his wand. He tapped his wand onto the parchment
