What a princess would do for her family

Chapter 1: Meeting a family friend. AND SHES A DRAGON!!!!!!

(This is my first fanfic but I love writing. Comment if I should continue the story. Thaaaaaaanks.)

Lucy's PoV

Team natsu were going on a mission to hargeon. The mission was to help the fishermen to get rid of a sea monster that was causing trouble. Of course, we finished it quickly, but thanks to a certain fire dragon slayer and ice make Mage, the port was blown to bits.

"NATSU! GRAY! WHY THE HELL DO YOU TWO ALWAYS HAVE TO DESTROY EVERYTHING YOU SEE WHEN FIGHTING!" I screamed my head off to the both of them while Ersa bonked them on their heads. "Now we only have half of the reward money! And this isn't nearly enough to pay my rent!" I pouted at them trying to make them feel guilty. "Apologise to Lucy you two! We took this job so we could help her pay off her rent for this month!" Ersa said, feeling a bit guilty herself. "We're soooooorry Lucy/Luce." Gray and Natsu said in unison. "It was all flamebrains fault anyway. He couldn't control his damn fire." Gray said trying to defend himself. "OH YEAH ICE PRINCESS!" Natsu screamed while hitting his head against Gray's, pushing hard. " Yeah pyro. Let's go." Gray stated coolly.

That's when Ersa butted in. And made them unconscious. "Ersa. Now we have to carry themmmmmm." I cried to her. "Sorry Lucy. I went a bit overboard. Didn't I?" Ersa blushed "You may strike me where I stand." I Sweat dropped. "It's alright they deserved it. And they were getting on my nerves." I said. Happy had been sleeping in my arms while this was happening and was finally waking up. "What's all the racket? I'm trying to sleep." Happy groaned sleepily. Then he tried to turn over but couldn't and realised where he was sleeping on me. "S-sorry Lushie. I was soooooo tired." He said flying up. "Hehe. It's alright Happy. No harm. No fowl." I said walking along the dirt path through the forest back to our guild while Ersa dragged the boy behind me.

"It's nice not taking the train everywhere once 'n' awhile. Isn't it?" I said quietly, speaking to myself while I stared up at the clear, blue sky. It was mid spring and the trees were starting to bloom their beautiful flowers. The birds were twittering happily and you would see the occasional bunny or deer running across the path.

Then I heard a quiet moaning sound. Almost like a whimper or cry. "Did you guys hear that?" Turning around to Happy and Ersa, the boy still unconscious from Ersa's punches. "No. What are you talking about Lucy?" Happy and Ersa looked at me worriedly. "You guys stay here and take a rest, I need to go check somethin'." I said to the both of them and hear the cry again. 'It sounds like a wounded animal.' I thought to myself. Leaving Ersa and Happy to check on Natsu and Gray, also to rest for a bit, I trailed of to where I hear the whimpering come from.

I came across a cave and the groaning got louder. Entering the cave I came across and DRAGON! Had beautiful white and golden scales with blue and black horns running along its tail and the most gorgeous pair of violet eyes I've ever seen. But under all that beauty was a big red stain, looking almost like a stab wound.

I just stared, awe struck, at the massive beast in front of me. It growled. I quickly came back to my senses. "Oh my Mavis! Are you okay?" I screamed running up to its wounded area and got out the first aid kit I had brought with me. I easily treated and disinfected the wound thanks to all of the healing technics Wendy had taught me, but not without the huge dragon struggling and hissing at me quiet a lot.

"You okay now? Does hurt anymore?" I said , a bit annoyed because it kept struggling. "Yes. Quite. Thank you, human. May I know your name child?" The magnificent dragon asked. Her, I guessed it was a she because her voice sounded female, voice was like a beautiful melody of some kind. "Good. And the names Lucy, Lucy Heartfilia. Nice to meet you!" I replied, instinctively putting my hand out to shake her's. "Sorry, force of habit." I giggled putting my hand down, feeling a bit embarrassed. "Wait! You say Lucy Heartfilia?" The beautiful snow white dragon shouted. "Um, yes that's my name." I replied nervously. Maybe she had a grudge against my family? That wouldn't good. I thought, cold sweat dripping down my back. "Oh don't be silly child. I am best friends with your mother and father!" She said formally. She can hear my thoughts! "Um, Miss. Could I know your name? If you knew my parents maybe you could tell a bit what they were like?" I asked her anxiously. "My name is Galaxia. But, dear child, we shall talk about that for when we next meet! But for now, I must return to the dragon realm!" She said joyfully. Happiness filling up in her eyes.

Suddenly, a blinding light came from behind the dragon and she disappeared. "WAIT! IF YOU KNEW MY PARENTS PLEASE TELL ME! WAIT, WAIT, WAIT!" I screamed at the fading light, my consciousness fading with it.

"Luce, wake up!"

"How did this happen?"

"Don't know we heard screaming, so we followed it. And she was laying on the ground outside of a cave."

"I should have gone with her. Then maybe this wouldn't have happened?"

"You can't blame yourself Ersa-San. It's no one's fault."

"Lushie, wake up."

What am I hearing? Everything's dark but I can still hear of my friends. Why do they sound so. Upset.

Natsu's PoV
(Just when Lucy had gone to find out what the crying was.)

Ooooow. It hurts. I'm going to vomit. I thought to myself awaking after Ersa knocked me and Ice princess out. "Uh, what time is it?" I groaned sitting myself up while blocking my eyes from the bright sun. "Finally you're awake. We've been waiting Natsu." I heard Ersa say, quite creepily might I add, and I got up. "W-what do y-you mean Ersa?" I said cowardly. "I've been waiting for you with Gray so we can talk about something." She said more calmly and formally. "Oh alright what did you wanna talk about." I signed in relief. "It's about Lucy. She been stressing out lately because you two idiots keep messing up our jobs so we don't get money. She can't even try to pay her rent without you two destroying a village!" She said irritated. "We know, but we can't help it that our magic is better than everyone else's." Gray said flexing his muscles. Ersa punched him in the jaw. "You two should be more serious about this. This is Lucy apartment we're talking about!" She was getting angrier be the second. "Ersa, calm down alright. We already feel really bad about it we don't need you making us feel more guilty!" Both Gray and I replied. "Where is Luce anyway. Wasn't she walking back with us?" I asked looking around while trying to change the subject. "She heard a sound a little while off the trail so she went to check it out." Happy said sitting on a rock and eating a fish. "How long ago was that?" Gray asked clearly worried. "About half an hour ago or so." Happy said nonchalantly. "Maybe we should go look for her? It's been a while." I said anxious. "Yeah come on let's go." Ersa said grabbed her tower of luggage on a stick.

Then we heard a girl screaming "WAIT! If you knew my parents, please tell me about them! WAIT, WAIT, WAIT!" The screaming stopped and we all knew who it was. It was Lucy. We all run at the speed of light to where the screaming was. Then we saw her. On the ground. Unharmed. Outside of a dark cave. Lucy what the hell happened to you.'

I then ran over to her. Scared to touch her I just kneeled over her body. "Natsu is she breathing?" Ersa asked, scared of the answer. "Yeah! She perfectly unharmed!" I said. The others running over as well. "Lushee!" Happy screamed. "We should get her back to the guild. Have Wendy check her out?" Gray said crouching down beside me. "Okay, I'll take her." I grabbed her, before Gray could, and started making our way back to the guild, quicker than before.

Lucy's PoV
(Present time.)

"Mmm, somebody turn off the lights." I said turning over in my bed. But it wasn't my bed. It was one of the beds in the guilds infirmary. Wh-what am I doing here?! I thought to myself. Then I heard a bunch of cheers. Huh, what's happening?! Scared I opened my eyes and almost the whole of the guild was towering over me. I sat up. "LUSHEE!" Happy flew over and immediately wrapped his arms tightly around my neck. "You're back! We were so worried Lu-chan!" Levy jumped on me. "Oh. My. Goodness. We were so scared Lulu!" Lizanna hugged me as well. (Yes lizanna isn't bad in this story. I think they make good friends.) With them all hugging me crying their hearts out on my shoulders, I was so confused. "Of course I'm back guys. Why wouldn't I be?" I asked trying to make sense of the situation. "Lucy!" Wendy came up to my bed. "You've been asleep for a week." Huh. What how could that be possible?! I was just coming home yesterday. Then I met that dragon. Galaxia. Then it's a week later and I'm in a hospital bed?! Ersa, Gray, Mira, Eflman, Carla, Gramps and Natsu came up to my bed and began to explain what had happened. They all gave me a hug before Polyucsica could kick them out. Then everybody had left my room and Polyucsica told me to get some rest. But all I could do was think. How could a dragon be connected to my mom and dad?
