Chapter 40: Permission

Natsu's PoV

The day after we ate with the dragons, we all went down to the guild. Before we went in Galaxia tapped my shoulder. "Hey Galaxia. What's up?" I ask and turn to her, finding all of the dragons standing there. "We know, Natsu." Galaxia tears up, tears of joy of course. "Y-you do?" I stutter. Before we can continue Lucy stops.  "Know about what?" She asks. "Nothing to worry about Lucy! We just need to talk to Natsu about something! You go ahead of us." Grandeeney chirps. "Um.....okay?" She looks at me suspiciously then walks into the guild. After that we all walk to the park, just incase she could've hear us. "Now Natsu. You should know that the royal family is a very traditional one, and you would need to ask permission of her father and mother." Igneel demands. "But I can't go there without Luce's help and then she'll know." I pout. "How do you think we got here without her noticing?" Metalicana questions me, as if it's the most obvious thing in the world. "Oooooooohhhhhhh." Natsu realises. "Now. We'll take you there and you will ask. Don't blow it, okay, we're happy for you guys." Galaxia crosses her arms. "Now, we have to get back to the dragon realm. Pregnant dragons have a......different effect to the hormones, so say bye to Lucy and the others for us!" Metalicana says. I nod and a bright light appears in front of me, like the one when we first went to the dragon realm.

Lucy's PoV

Natsu and the other tell me to go into the guild without them, so I went to the bar to talk with Mira. "That was weird." I mumble to myself as my eyebrows frown. "What's wrong Lucy?" Mira ask as she starts cleaning a glass. "Well, the dragons are here and them and Natsu just left me." I pout. "Oh really? That's odd. Maybe they need to ask him about something." She suggest. "Maybe. But I can't think of anything that they'd have to ask him about." I get more stressed. "Why don't you ask them when they get back?" She puts the glass on a shelf behind her. "Natsu's been acting weird lately." I moan, resting my head on my hand. "What do you mean?" She turns back to me. "Yesterday, when I got back home, I found him and Lizanna in our living room. They looked really suspicious, like they were hiding something." I tell her. "That is weird. Hey Lizanna! Can you come over here a second!" Mira calls her over. "What's up, Mira?" Lizanna runs over. "When you were over Natsu's and Lucy's yesterday, was Natsu acting differently?" Mira asks her younger sibling. "W-what do you mean? O-of course he wasn't. W-what would make you think that?" Lizanna begins to sweat, I know this because I can smell it. "Okay! Thanks!" Mira waves her off. They're definitely hiding something.

Gray's PoV

When I hear Lucy tell Mira that Pyro's been acting weird, I begin to eavesdrop. "Yesterday when I got home, I found him and Lizanna in our living room. They looked really suspicious, like they were trying to hide something." Lucy groans. Could he? My thoughts were cut off by Mira calling Lizanna over. "When you were over Natsu's and Lucy's yesterday, was Natsu acting differently?" Mira asked her. "W-what do you mean? O-of course he wasn't. W-what would make you think that?" Lizanna stuttered. I knew it! How could he? I think and get angry. After a minute or so later, I accidentally break the glass in my hand. "Oh Gray-sama! Are you okay?" Juvia leans over the table and looks at my bleeding hand. "Y-yeah. I'm fine." I blush because her face was so close. "No you're not. You're bleeding badly. Wendy!" Juvia grabs my hand and calls Wendy over. "Oh my, Gray-San!" Wendy immediately starts healing my hand. Through this whole affair, all I'm thinking about is Natsu cheating on Lucy. How could he?

Natsu's PoV

Once the dragons had returned to the dragon realm, I also return to the guild. How am I gonna leave for a whole night without Luce getting suspicious. I think to myself and stroke my chin. I contemplate on this until I get to the guild. "Hey! Flame Freak! Fight me!" Stripper shouts at me when I open the guild doors. "You want to get your butt kicked this early in the morning, pant Lord?" I jump up at him. "It is I who'll be doing the butt kicking, Pyro!" Gray lashes out at me. We start a guild brawl.

When the fight's over I walk up to Luce. "Hey Luce!" I smile at her as she turns around. "Hey Natsu! Where's the other?" She smiles back. "They had to get back to the dragon realm. Something about dragon pregnancies." I vaguely remember the conversion from early. "Okay. We should probably tell the other dragon slayers about that. Gajeel the most." Luce suggests. "Okay. Oi! Metal head! Wendy! Come 're a sec!" I call them over and Wendy comes running, Gajeel simply walks slowly. "What do yah want salamander!" Gajeel grunts. "We have news from the dragons!" Luce exclaims. "Okay, what is it Lucy-San?" Wendy ask, tilting her head of the side. "Galaxia's pregnant!" Luce exclaims. Wendy squeals while Gajeel just stands there in shock. "Gajeel! We're going to have a step-sibling!" Luce squeals again. "Stud face is going to have a baby before me?!" Gajeel yells angrily. Everybody in the guild looks our way, in the corner of my eye I see Levy blushing furiously. "What do you mean 'before' you?" Mira smiles slyly. Gajeel blushes harder than Ersa's head and Levy's blush combined. "N-nothing. 'Cuse me." He quickly runs out the guild and everybody chuckles and goes back to what they were doing before.

After a while, I remember I have to go to the dragon realm and need an excuse to go out for the night. I know! I'll say I'm going out with Gray! She'll never question that! I think up my mastermind plan as I sit with Luce. "Hey Luce. I'm going out with Gray tonight, so you don't have to wait up for me." I tell her. She turns to me while sipping her strawberry milkshake. "Oh okay." She pouts. "Just make sure you where a coat. It's starting to get cold." She coos. "Of course. But you know I don't get cold anyway." I tell her, chuckling at her worrying so much. "Still, I don't want you to get a cold." She pouts. I hug her. "I know. I'll be careful, okay." I whisper in her ear, which makes her blush. I chuckle again and pull out of the hug. I'm sorry for lying Luce, but I need to do this.
