Chapter 16: moving

Lucy's PoV

I'm helping Mira behind the bar when she asks. "Lucy? Do you have anywhere to live?" She asked. I had just realised that ever since I had come back I didn't buy my apartment back and have been sleeping in the guild or over a Natsu's place. "No actually, I don't. Can I take a quick break to see if my old apartment is still open?" I asked and she nodded. "Lucy, don't bother. It burnt down a couple months back." Natsu said sadly. "What!" I asked surprised. "Yeah, it was me." He admitted. "Wha-what?!" I asked in shock. "Well, I thought you weren't coming back so I got angry with myself. I decided to sneak in and see if any of your was left behind." I said pausing. Wait! I left my Jude's presents to me there. When I returned from Tenrou island my father had passed but still had sent gifts for each year I was gone. The first was a locket that had I mini picture of him and my mother in it. The second was a silver key that held a memory power and was called makito. The third was a brown teddy bear that had a golden sun on its belly. The fourth was another key for another type of Nikora that I called Asuna. The fifth was special lacirma to see lacirma TV. The sixth was a ticket to tour love and lucky, the merchants guild he was working at, and the last was a letter telling me that he had made a name for himself, missed me and was dieing. "Y-You burnt down the house?" I muttered clenching my fists trying to stop the tears of anger and sadness run from my eyes. "Yeah, but I found these things before I went manic." He giggled and handed me a bag of all of the things that Jude had sent me. "T-thank you." I cried taking the a bag and hugging him tightly.

"I-I guess I'll have to go apartment shopping again." I starting walking out of the guild with Luna, after the awkward moment I had just had, as Natsu called us back. "Hey wait!" He called and we both turned around. "Yeah? What is it?" Luna asked. "W-Why don't you move in with me and Happy?"

Natsu's PoV

"Why don't you move in with me and Happy?" I asked without another thought. Crap! Why did I say that she'll probably say no then it'll be awkward between us. I thought as I started to blabber. "I've got an extra bedroom with a shower and I'll do half of the jobs around the house and seeing as I destroyed your pervious option." I begged. Great now I sound desperate. Then Lucy blushed brightly, rivalling Ersa's hair. "Um, s-sure. W-Why not." She whispered shyly. "R-Really?!" I asked surprised. I didn't actually think she would agree? Then I heard snickering from next to Lucy.

Luna's PoV

I was curious of what Natsu was thinking during this whole affair so I decided to mind read, just a little. "Crap! Why did I say that she'll probably say no, then it'll be awkward between us." He thought and I giggled quietly. I'll have to tell Mira and the girls about this later. Then I saw a slight blush on Natsu's cheek. "Great now I sound desperate." He blushed even more making it more visible. "I didn't think she would agree?" He thought as his face lite up like a Christmas tree. I couldn't help myself and snickered so I wouldn't explode. Then, from beside me, Lucy poked my side and told me. "D-do you want to wait here while I go with V-Virgo to the dragon realm?" Lucy asked still blushing brightly and stuttering from the previous events. "Sure! I need to talk to Mira and some of the other girls as well. See you when you get back." I quickly rush to the table where most of the guild's girls and Freed were already waiting for my arrival. "So? What did he think?" Mira asked excitedly. "He was thinking he was desperate and was worried things will be awkward between them." I squealed and Lizanna instantly grabbed my hand to stop me squealing too loudly, because knowing dragon hearing, all of the dragons in each realm could hear me by this point. "I'll prepare the wedding!" Levy giggled getting up to grab a book she had been carrying around with her. "What that?" Wendy asked curiously. "Oh, maybe just what Lucy's dream guy would be in a book." She flicked through the pages. "What do you mean by that?" Ersa asked peaking over her shoulder. "This is Lucy's story and there's a character in here who saves the main protagonist and is VERY similar to a certain dragon slayer we know. AND it may mention they get married later in the the book." Levy set the book down and we all stare at the page opened. "Oh my Mavis! That's so cute!" Macao had some how snuck into our circle and read the page. "Hey! No old men allowed in this sacred circle." Mira physically kicked him back to his set. "But really they would make such a good couple." Freed added looking dreamily in to the distance. We all thought about them, waiting on the return of the two 'love birds'.

Lucy's PoV

After snickering a little, Luna flew over to a table that almost all of the guild's female members we're sitting at. She's probably going to gossip again. I complained in my head as I turned back to Natsu still feeling the intensity of the blush I still had on my face. "Um, o-okay. I'll go get me s-stuff from the dragon realm then meet y-you back here in an hour." I said pushing my fingers together. "Alright! See yah then!" He shouted then walked over to a table that consisted of Gray, Elfman, Romeo, Bixlow, Gajeel and Laxus. I turned around and summoned Virgo to go to the Dragon realm.

Natsu's PoV

After talking with Luce about her and Luna living with me and Happy I walked over to the male members of the guild. "Alright salamander! Yah did it!" Gajeel smirked, laughing his famous gihee. "What are yah talking about?!" I said sitting down. "He's saying that you're not as an idiot as we thought you were flame brain." Gray said emptying his glass of beer. "Well done Natsu! I'm proud of yah. Now you're a REAL man!" Elfman shouted slapping my back. "I have no clue what you people are talking about?" I was seriously confused. "You are still a dense idiot." Laxus muttered. "Don't blame 'im. He's still a kid." Romeo said and the others nodded. "What the hell are you talking about?!"
