Chapter 19: battles.

Natsu's PoV

Lucy had just kicked us out of her and Luna's new room. "I feel really bad now." Happy pouted. "What did I grab?" I asked not knowing what I had done. "Natsu, if you don't know now, you'll know soon." Luna patted my shoulder. "What's that supposed to mean?" I question, jerking my head at her. "We need to do something for Lucy." Happy says determined. Luna and I look at his confused. "What do you mean?" We say in unison. "Well, you guys are just moving in and she basically cleaned the whole house." He said looking around the sparkling room. "Hey! I helped to! I did the ceilings." Luna said confidently. "Why don't we make dinner!" Happy screams, ignoring Luna's comment. "Okay, let's do that!" I say pumping my fist in the air. "Do you guys even know how to cook?" Luna asked nervously. "Nope!" Happy says triumphantly. "It can be that hard, lets do this." I say running to the kitchen. "I'm all fired up now!" I cheer and we get to work.

Lucy's PoV

"Done!" I breath out laying on the mini couch in my and Luna's room. "Phew, that took longer than expected." I say looking at the clock on the wall. Then I smell something burning. Huh! A fire! Oooh food! I think and ran out of my room finding my three roommates gathered around the stove. "Um, you guys okay?" I say tapping on Natsu's shoulder and he jumped surprise. "Geez Luce! Didn't see you there." Natsu said while hiding something behind his back as the exceeds begin to sweat. "Are you sure you're okay? What's behind your back, Nastu?" I say looking over his shoulder to see a lump of black mass sitting in a frying pan. "We tried to cook." Luna said pouting. "Luna what have I told you about cooking! You could set your fur on fire again!" I told her off. "Wait! AGAIN?!" Natsu and Happy asked together. "Long story." Luna said nervously. "So what were you trying to make?" I asked looking at a nearby cook book. "Ham burgers." Natsu said scratching the back of his neck. "Oh that's easy to fix. Could you all get behind me?" I asked and they all do as I say. "COOKING MAGIC! PURIFY! HAM BURGER!" I shout and a light comes out of my extended hand. The once lump of coal turns into four delicious looking ham burgers. "Wow!" Natsu and Happy gasp. "Let's dig in!" Luna shouts and we all take a plate and start devouring our food.

~time skip-next day~

Luna, Happy, Natsu and I arrive at the already full guild. "Hey, you guys are late!" Gray teases, smirking. "Shut up Ice princess!" Natsu shouts as Luna and I run up to the girls of the guild who were sitting at the bar. "Hey girls!" We say sitting down. "How was last night?~" Levy pokes my arm. "Hehe! Shut up." I nonchalantly nudging her off. "You ready to throw down guys?" I say to the girls participating in the battles for the GMG team. "Sure am!" Wendy giggles. "You're going to kick our asses." Cana groans. "Sorry?" I ask, not knowing how to respond.

"ALRIGHT, BRATS! CAN ALL CANDIDATES MAKE THEIR WAY TO THE BATTLE GROUNDS!" Master calls from the second floor. "Lucy are we going to your imagination land again?" Levy asks. "No it takes up too much magical energy for the battles. The more it gets destroyed the more magic I use to build it again and it takes a lot of concentration." I add. She nods in understanding and we run to the battle grounds at the back of the guild.

"YOU READY!" Master screams and the players nod. The first match was Wendy against Laxus. Yeah, controversial right? Anyway the match has started and it's pretty neck and neck so far but Wendy has the upper hand. "SKY DRAGON! WING ATTACK!" Wendy screams and with that the fight is over. (A/N sorry I'm not very good at fight scenes.)

The next match was against Cana and Elfman. The battle ended quickly when Elfman straight up squashed Cana with his beast arm.

After that it was Juvia against Gray. All Gray had to do was take of his clothes then she passed out! Typical Juvia.

Then it was Ersa and Mira. I think we all know how that went down. It's too traumatising to say. Let's just say Ersa won. Okay?

Then it was Natsu and Gajeel. This fight took three hours but in the end Natsu won

Jerral and I didn't have to fight because this year you could have six members in the games and Jellal needed to spend more time with Erza, they weren't dating, but Mira and I had a plan.

Hehehehehehe. I thought as all of the winning candidates sat on a table with the rest of the guild partying like usual. "What yah thinkin' Luce?" Natsu asked resting his head on his arm looking in my direction. "Nooooothing." I giggle suspiciously, looking at the beetroot Jerral sitting next to the strawberry cake scoffing Ersa. She then looked at me. "What ARE you thinking?" Ersa asked. "Mira!" I shouted then she ran over. "Yeah Lucy?" Mira asked. "What do you think they'd call their children." I whispered loudly so the whole table could hear. Then Ersa also went as red as her hair and sat there starring at Jerral. "I think you've broken her." Gray said waving his hand in front of her face.

The Master whistled, getting the entire guild's attention. "RIGHT! THE TEAM FOR THE GRAND MAGIC GAMES WILL GO TRAINING FOR THE NEXT 6 MONTHS." Master shouted making sure everyone could hear. The one of the member shouted to party and we did for the rest of the night.
